Crazy event, Team Lotus is dominating the Championship with Karl taking home the win for the 2nd consecutive race and Peter right behind.
A very unlucky race for Matt and Brandon, i'll have to see if we survived all of that lol. I'm not sure how I didn't receive terminal damage from my collision with Brandon because it was head on. My crash on lap 54 is certainly questionable as the steering was gone after another head on collision with the wall😬
Yeah well done everyone. That was a lot of fun. Congrats to my team mate for win number 2 after making up ground while I was taking it careful with Ian and Tyler just before my pit stop and then was a bit too casual on my way in and out of the pits. Seeing him just coming round the short chute between turns 1 and 2 I abandoned joining the track until the back straight and rejoined just over 2 seconds behind. We stayed that way for the next dozen laps or so before I got a bit careless out of turn 1 and spun to the infield losing a dozen seconds. The gap stayed around 14 seconds until about lap 59 at which point I was managing to claw the gap back with a consistent run in the mid 57's to find myself only just over 3 seconds adrift at the end of lap 71. A slight wobble out of turn 4 on the next lap saw the end of the challenge and Team Lotus crossed the line 4 seconds apart for another strong team showing.
Well done everyone, tough car to drive and the next round at Hockenheim will really prove a test with only two gears to play with. Can't wait
The replay from the game of this race. I had to pause the stream after about 9 minutes and it picks up again just after 1hr 9mins so just forward to that point to get past the pause screen.
What a race. I think i had some close racing with just about everyone on the grid at one time or another. A long run with Ian while trying to keep in touch with Boothy and Peter. So much fun.
I had an early incident with the wall that meant i had to pit earlier than i wanted to to fix some slight suspension damage. Immediately the engineer told me there was tyre stuck and they took longer than usual to change, then they had to fix the suspension damage. I think the stationary time was close to 25 seconds in the pits so i tried to make it out as fast as possible. When i was rejoining the circuit there was no traffic between T1 and T2 so i rejoined there. It probably saved me a few seconds. Was hoping i could keep in close contact with Peter after he made his pit stop, but after the slow stop i was expecting to be 12 or 15 second behind him. To my surprise we were much closer after his stop and i just managed to get in front as he was rejoining. I thought for sure he would have the pace to overtake me easily but that pass just never materialized. Looking forward to the next one. I might forego all my other racing practice and focus on Germany instead.
Well, I survived and was running at the end! Early on, when BCK had his spin I was right along side Tyler. BCK spun to the inside and then it snapped back up across the track. I went thru a cloud of smoke and say him hit the wall and Tyler hit him in my rearview, a real shame. The only thing I don't like about the Xbox X is there is no kinect input. I really liked the ability to say "xbox record that" during a race and not have to have any menus pop up mid race to be able to record a clip. I still have my kinect hooked to my old xbox with the camera blocker, but the games I play there dont really require a non-stop recording option. It would be nice if you could map a button to record a 30 or 45 second clip. Anyway. I had 3 spins, all on the entry to turn 4. The first was a simple spin and I didn't hit anything. The 2nd I wiggled into the outside wall and it gave me right rear damage but I was able to pull right into the pits. The 3rd was the big one. Spun to the inside and ripped off the left front, about 50 feet behind where Tyler was parked. 3 minutes and 20 seconds later I was coming out of the pits. Overall pleased I made it to the end.

I tried getting around Peter early in the race (first lap I think) and went hot into a corner which resulted in wall....spin.....other wall..... Kept my tires and everything though and decided to pit to fix damage. That was a pretty long one - you guys were 2 or 3 laps up at that point. Lots of good fun racing all the way along. This quirky car has become endearing.....Hockenheim is going to be epic.

Yeah I was disappointed about the Xbox One X's kinect functionality too Greg. There is an adapter you can get for that, probably from Amazon. I never ended up going that route because streaming lags my simdash app with our junky routers. I record from my phone attached to my microphone stand as you probably already know.
Speaking of my phone footage, it doesn't look good for me. Both my accidents were at basically full speed and head on.😵 I'll be looking at the replay footage tonight and get back to you guys with my findings.
