Hoping I can get on tonight and do my first full stint so I can at least have some information to go by for the race.
I'll be interested to see if I have any of these suspension issues but must admit I always avoid those kerbs anyway.

I retract my request..... I can’t drive these things. Not in my current mind set these days anyhow.
Hope you have a great turn out. Cheers guys.

Mine happened at the end of the straight, but fingers crossed, I have it somewhat tuned out. Good luck! lol

I'll be interested to see if I have any of these suspension issues but must admit I always avoid those kerbs anyway. After about 2 laps I notice my car bouncing up and down and shaking a little so maybe we all need to avoid those kerbs. I did lower my ride height a few clicks for the modern-ness of the circuit which helps with handling. I wonder how the car will be after 3 hours though :/

I drive default do left the ride heights where they were so maybe that's one of the problems.

A quick question about this whole x10 thing. How does that work exactly. I set my race to our settings (ie 24hrs at x10 factor) but the timer still ticks down in normal time. I expected it to go 10 times faster.

I expected it to go 10 times faster. You need to set the race timer to 2 hours 24min. Then the time to 10x. It makes the weather and day/night transition go ten times faster. The race counter always runs at real speed.

Who signed up but didn't qualify? Usually reliable regulars or new signups? I really thought we'd get more than 8 cars on the grid.

I expected it to go 10 times faster. The time is the same, the day to night to day is 10x faster. It has to be that way our our lap times would show to be 35 minutes. It's a pretty cool feature. If you want to do a quick 20 min race, you can set it to 60x and get the full cycle. Tracks that are particularly cool with the change are Le Mans, Daytona, and Long Beach. There are more, but those are great.

Signups and strugglers.. it is understandable if people from F1 are hesitant since PCars can seem intimidating. But, it is pretty natural to drive once you give it a chance.
If there are people on the fence about it, maybe sometime in the near future the we could have a couple lobbies and help anyone with concerns. Any of the wheel drivers not coming to PCars really should give it a shot. Wheels are an afterthought in F1, but in PCars and Assetto..these titles are made for wheels.
With that, it is easier to learn since you can learn from real life teaching videos etc.

Is AI in this?
Been racing 100/100 and it's pretty damn good. Tried 120/70 and they acted like bots waiting to get passed.
Although we did have one wreckless AI turd in the session with Dave and Neale. One dive bombed me and the same one started a chain reaction into Neale. lol I uploaded the vid last night and will share it on XBL today.

Hmmm....if there's 8 of us, Dave could make it a multi-class event adding in the GTE cars (i think?) and because half of the 16 car max will be in group C1 the AI will have no choice but to pick the slower GTE class cars. What say you, gents? EDIT: Nevermind, I forgot about the formation lap and if we need cautions... I only had the chance for a handful of laps last night so still haven't done even half a full stint in this car and have no clue as to tyre wear or fuel usage. The AI were a nightmare last night.. crashing into each other and rear ending me several times. I enjoy the AI mostly in this game but with such a wide spread of pace it's difficult to get the level of them right. Maybe not multiclass, but 100/100 is perfect. If that's a little much, 90/90 works well or even 80/80. The AI is pretty good in this game, usually.

Promoting this group. So far Lemarrrr and I have updated our Xbox usernames to have XRF in front.
Social media is always good. We can certainly get more people organically. As it is with our usual names, even if we are in a lobby together, people will think we are randoms. If they see we all have the same tag and that we all race cleanly with no assists, that will get some interest.
And as an added bonus, they're not just "committing," but they're already active. Having people on both sides of the pond, that expands our chances.
When we setup lobbies, it will benefit growth if we leave them open. If people dont like the settings, no big deal.
I get into a great no assist and cockpit lobby from time to time, so they are out there.

There are only a handful of the F1 guys that dont race pCars (Alec, Mitch and Gareth are only ones actually) but it's more other commitments and not being interested in other forms of racing that prevents them racing pCars with us.
Mikey and Neale have only recently joined and Will now has pCars so that adds 3 more but with such a small pool there's always going to be a struggle for numbers as invariably the race dates and times don't suit everyone.

I was waiting for the suspension to fail, was planning to stay out until it did or until i ran out of fuel, but then i had a separate incident with and damage the front left suspension anyway...lol

I agree with Sean that we should have some open lobbies and try to attract some more active recruits, even thou the Indycar lobby wasn’t a huge success I’m pretty sure that with some adjustments to our strategy that we can get the numbers that we deserve
