Safety car is definitely fucked up in the game. No question it should have come out after my incident at the final corner. Not sure who it was that collected me but with my car in bits, their car should have taken damage too so it would be a bolted on SC. What exactly did it come out for in Russia? I may have Russia confused. Which race was it where it came out for 3 consecutive laps? At Russia, one for sure came out when Niblips (maybe?) literally just spun in the wet, went side ways off the track, and straightened out. That was a full blown safety car.

The poll is here:- consoleracing.boards.net/thread/563/race-weather-match-realIf you don't make your choice by close of play Friday don;t moan if the result is not to your liking If the real world weather is the decision we will match the actual race conditions that afternoon as close as the game allows. Are you able to add several weather scenarios like you can in PCars? One option would be adding Practice before the Qualifying. That way we have time to setup the car accordingly. It would be really cool if we could get a full grid at some point and do full qualifying. But I realize stability and keeping everyone connected is dicey.

The problem with practice before qualifying is that you would probably have to have everyone that is due to race also included in practice otherwise you have the problem of trying to invite them in just at the qualifying stage and that is likely to be problematical and result in the need to restart the lobby with the resultant delays, etc. I think it would just be too long to expect everyone to be able to commit to that in all honesty. Of course there is absolutely nothing stopping like minded people from getting on and having an independent multiplayer practice session before the race. If we go for the real race weather there is an opportunity for those that have the time to get on after the real race and put in some practice in the relevant conditions. Or anyone that wants to can check the forecast a day before and have a rough idea of whether there is likely to be any changeable conditions. The full quali has been discussed and would be interesting but it would need a full grid to make it feasible. However, I don't think stability and connection is necessarily the issue it is more that in reality how many people are really going to want to sit around waiting for half an hour if they don't get through the first stage. But all these things can be discussed in preparation for another season.

Practice in the same session of Qualifying and the Race would be ideal for realism and weather, but I do realize that is another 30 minutes of commitment. The thing about setting the weather is it is just that, set. The real drivers know the forecast, but they have no idea how it is going to pan out. If it is set pre race in stone, that takes away from that aspect of realism.

Q-1 R-1
Put in a lot more practice then usual been rather lazy about it this year. Also tried staying out the Party the last few races which improved result alot actually finishing races now.
Got a shit start Will got alongside me so kept as wide as possible about T1 at this point feared i was about to get Verstappen'd felt a tap on my side which expected to be punted off into the grass but weirdly stayed on track. Lap 2 was strange when Greg retired i was going down the start straight and it plonked me back in my starting spot in neutral (Recorded it via Xbox Live) So had to build up the gap again was comfortably 1 second if not more a lap faster then most. Kinda wish Will & Alec were further up they seemed rapid enough had a brief spin so let Alec by to go after Sean cos they were getting close and didn't want Blue Flags effecting it but Alec eventually binned it so had a comfortable drive to the line.
Quite enjoying the wet races at the minute it's been great fun and a good challenge. Got fastest lap aswell.

Q: 3 R: 4 Did not get much practice in before this one (I don't get much practice anymore in general with my work schedule). I was really looking forward to Suzuka, as it is my single favorite track to drive.... except in the wet conditions. Still felt pretty good in quali. Boothy was rapid, over a second clear of myself, but i felt I could have a good battle with Will and those around me. I went nowhere off the line on the formation lap and then the same thing happened when the lights went out. Found myself in 5th going into turn 1/2. Contact between Will and someone (I can't remember). I tried to steer clear off it, but knocked some wing off on Will. I all but was the head of a train of the rest of the field as I limped to the pits. Changed wing and my teammate passed me in the pits on a drive through penalty (Merc 1-2 in the rear). I then felt really good on my new tyres and was having a good drive going through the field. Had some good little battles, I think with Indy going into turn 1, he held his line nicely as we went side by side. I felt good, driving clean, letting others make mistakes and then capitalize. After about 15 laps or so I felt my tyres starting to go off, not really they were only at about 30% wear but they felt like crap. I started twitched and half spinning all over the place. I managed to get passed Will after some time following. Then set about chasing Neale down. As soon as I had him in sight and started to push I lost in coming out of the hairpin. Managed to not hit the wall but lost time and let Will back through. Went on for another couple laps then decided to change tyres for my final pit (or so I thought). On my out lap after the stop I again managed to lose the back end coming out of the hairpin. This time I ended up in the wall with red wing damage. Back to the pits again. New wing, new tyres (running through my spare parts budget). I was now 5th and set about catching Sean (Dale). I was making progess on Sean, but again as soon as I caught up to the back of him, I had a moment in the Degners. He was now 10 seconds up the road and I wasn't making much progress. The last few laps I closed up to him again, about 2 seconds behind. Then again, I had an off at the Degner corners. The second I tried to push at all on this track in theses conditions I ended up losing it. OH well. Congrats to Boothy on the dominating win. Congrats to Neale for keeping it slow and clean and coming in second . And congrats to Sean (Dale), really solid pace for so many laps down the closing stretch. Looks like I'm all but toast for a shot at the Drivers championship, but am set on securing a tight battle in the Constructors.

Even if I didnt have to put early, no way I would have caught you. You clearly have the pace and have been setting fastest laps like nobody's business. Challenge thrown: Try Cockpit next race. [Jedi]You can do it, Boothy![/Jedi] It adds so much more for realism.

There was definitely some Deja Vu at Degners.lol I was in the entanglement in T2 on the first lap, too. Like an idiot, I braked rather than trying to drive around the spin in front. Really kind of surprised that for the most part, everyone got through T1.

Q - 2 R - DNF Had a good start off the line & took the lead into turn 1, then i touched tyres with boothy & spun putting me last, also ended up with wing damage but decided not to pit as i was far enough behind everyone. Managed to work my way up to 3rd & had fun doing so. After my pit stop & a change of front wing i was back upto race pace & was closing in on neale in 2nd place but the i lost it around 130R & ended up with no wheels on the front of my car! Peter i was behind you went you had your incident, to me it looked like you went over that bump at the pit entry & your car shot over to the right, i thought you was either pitting (last min) or the bump screwed you over? I was a good car length or 2 behind you & just went around you. Don't think anyone else was around us? That's why I was surprised by the impact when I was righting my car. One minute nothing there and then bang!! My spin was just one of those slow unable to save moments 🙄 All going surprisingly well until that.

Was happy with quality so that’s that. Race Mitch!Mitch! Mitch!😂😂👍🏻if you hadn’t done what you did of the line Mate I think we would of been in that 2nd corner pile up so all good there 👍🏻👍🏻😜 I had some great racing with many people in that race and a close one with Dave.sorry for that mate. Had a lot of alone time to but just kept it cool and drove it to the end for a great result.well done all another testing race for all.

Well, first off... Thanks for the massive block at the final chicane in Qually Micko, gotta check your map or use the arrows cause I nearly went sailing over the back of you and I was two seconds up on my time, and then you went into the pits!? D: Race was over before it began, thankfully I only ended up really losing one position in the end. But pulled a Seb and jumped the start which bogged me down and yet again Neal got the worst of it 😂 Sorry there chief, it's not a habit I swear. Did the drive through, came out, spun up the hill before the Degna 1, and chopped half the wing off, so back into the pits I went. Then had fun chasing Micko down (sorry about the punt up the arse at the hairpin, you breaked earlier than I expected) managed to get past eventually, then chasing Dink down who let me past for some reason, then was a lonely race of trying to recover well over a minute to the next guy up the road hoping for a safety car or something but it never happened. Overall, just happy to finish to be honest and can we PLEASE set Mexico to dry 😂 Can't be five wet races in a row. Sorry about blocking you it was not intentional 🥵 just didn’t see you. I actually got to finish a race. Ref weather just mirror real life weather 🤔 Not saying it was intentional mate, figured you didn't see me as don't think anyone here would block like that on purpose. But can we keep off the racing line in those situations (that's to everybody) especially if we're pitting on that lap. 👍🏻

I'll see if I can find some time to test them out a little to have some idea of whether there is ask element of variability in them.
