Consoles will never let the game be the pinnacle in anything unfortunately, they can only work with what they got and I'd guarentee half the stuff they'd love to have in the game, is the same as everyone else, can't be due to power limitations. Now it looks like next gen is actually going to be worthy of being called "next gen" unlike this iteration of consoles, so hopefully they can do more. But I'd argue they're moving away from the casual audience anyway as the pad hasn't been even thought about in a couple of years.

Shame the game doesn't model this sort of thing. Other than wings, DRS failures and the occasional mechanical issue these things don't seem to be in the game. Would be cool if they were. Like so many other things in this game, it seems half baked and over simplified. It’s such a shame that this software has to be ‘dumbed down ‘ so that casual gamers can play it, I realise that if it was more sim than arcade then fewer copies would be sold but I feel that the pinnacle of motorsport deserves the pinnacle of simulation They really dropped the ball on a ton of it. Ranked lobbies mix sim players with assist players. Just insane. Dirt Rally has the option to lock exterior cameras, too. So Codemasters understands sim aspects, yet they don't lock exterior cams in F1..an open wheel/open cockpit car. Right off the bat, sim racers/cockpit users are at a huge disadvantage against TV pod users. I realize they have to have some arcade aspects, but they basically gave the finger to the sim crowd. Makes no sense. Not using laser scanned tracks is another head scratcher in 2019, too.

In for this race. Sean G/Alfa/Dale Rossi 69 As Hammer wrote in the league post, cockpit is encouraged. Challenge stands for this race since we didnt make the last one, Boothy! I'll do it if you wear an eyepatch on your left eye then you can see what it's like

May have go be right eye since I'm left eye dominant.lol

Well that was utterly horrific not sure what happened between qualifying and the race but the car felt completely different it was so understeery like someone had stuck a boat on the rear end just turned in and just straight up nope

Vettel had the same problem. Tough track to tune for. The start of the race was bizarre with ghosts and crap everywhere. Will be interesting to watch the replay.
Good race, all. CUKills absolutely hauled ass from the start.
Q6 R4
My qualifying was so so. Some maybe because I didnt really use a Hotlap setup, but I choked.
Last stint of the race, I had a choice to make with about 19 laps to go with Neale on fresh softs and me on 3rd stint mediums. Decided to stay out rather than put on softs since the lead was right around 20 seconds. I was able to stay in 3rd, but got my 2nd penalty going wide in the slowest part of sector 3. Had another penalty early on after going wide on the penultimate turn exit.
Don't usually have track limit problems and I think I've only had 1 penalty all year. Either way, pretty happy with the results.
I was in 2nd for a large part of the race, but CUKills was GONE from the get go. Pretty dominant.
For as many glitches and weird ghost stuff going on, it was a pretty clean race.
Had no idea I was on used softs for my pitstop until Will I think said something. Been using 3 sets in Qualifying all season.lol Live and learn.
Congrats to the podium guys and Neale made a great comeback on what had to be sheets of ice softs by the end of the race.

Had my race ruined by a Red Bull trying to win the whole thing on Lap 1, wiping half my front wing off at the hair pin coming out the stadium... Which I dunno man... Unnecessary that early on. After that then span a couple laps later, then span three times at the final corner in the closing laps. Race to forget really, had the pace for MUCH better here, hopefully can pull out better results for the last two races.
Great racing with Peter though, took the wider line at T1 went round the outside down the hill and round T2 and then a proper squeaky bum moment going into the esses, thankfully he saw me, and I got passed cleanly.
Gutted didn't get the chance to go for the fastest lap as I feel that was in the bag again, but must have gotten over zealous at the final corner to spin it.
Well done for Alec on the win, and the rest of the podium guys. Hopefully the constructors isn't screwed over from this 😬

When I saw you had bolted on those softs I knew the 8 second gap would not be enough but was determined not to give the place up too easily and make you use some of those nice red tyres. I just went into T1 a bit deep on that lap (unlike the previous lap where I managed to just hold you off there) and you got alongside and I knew you were on my outside going through those esses but had no way of seeing where so just tucked it in to the inside as best I could and then saw your nose appear and that was that. I wish there was a different way to get a quick sideways glance, just not enough buttons to have that and everything else you need. Going to investigate next time i'm on in case I am missing something. How were your tyres at that point? before your spin at T1 I was just looking to stay as close as possible over the remaining laps in the hope your softs might drop off enough to give me a shot at getting back past. Great fun though

Qualy 3rd Race dnf
Race was a joke, how many of us got done for a false start? Lights went out for me & i got a drive through penalty! Then every car i come across was ghosting. Very glitchy last night.

Very glitchy last night. Will be interesting to watch the replay. Lights didnt go for me, but everyone took off, so I went. After turn 1, it was like a bomb went off and I just tried to make it through. Been doing a lot of rallycross lately and instinctively thought there would be a restart. Had some bad lag on all Codemasters games and forums for several days. They should have an option to manually restart a race. We had another one that was a mess where we had to do a manual start..Spa maybe, I don't remember.

I saw a bit of strange jerkiness to the cars off the line and Neale's car went transparent but other than that no problems of note. The problem with the restarts is the need to reform the lobby, do a formation lap to get everyone in the right place and then get started and as we saw at Spa that proves to be a real nightmare. With the late start already last night it would have been even more of a pain. It's shame there is no option to automatically reform the grid without the need for all that hassle.

Great fun though Tyres were fine mate, they were a used set though and when I was catching you initially I was really trying to not push too hard in them (after that fastest lap obviously 😂) I was running low ERS the entire time we were having that back and forth which I find for some reason helps with the temps and the wear, which makes it even more confusing to why the back end went in me.
