I always took it as thats telling you what fresh tyres you would have for the race and if you wanted anything from Qually you would have to save it. Btw i'm talking abt the pre-race strategy screen when quali has already happened. At least now I know lol This is what I'm referring to... I assumed the greyed out tyres on the right were my freshly available tyres for the race. So one set of each compound here. View AttachmentTbh, Peter I thought exactly that as well , you race on the qualified set and then you have the others (greyed our ones) available during the race. That doesn’t mean if you only run one qualifying lap that the other softs becomes available because they are then called spent... used or not... that’s how I see it and how it works in true F1 I think you will find.. anyway that’s my two pennies worth..

Exactly what I thought. My 2nd stint sifts were definitely used. Maybe only 2 laps worth, so not a killer but good to know. Now if I could figure out why my DRS breaks so often. Didnt last race, but never got an opportunity to use it anyway.

that set of softs in the image is the extra set you get for reaching Quali 3, and a set of softs has to be returned after Quali 3....since we only run one session it is not included in the total tyre allocation. It really should be X'd out or something. That would make it more clear for us.

I've never actually looked at that bar properly and it does look weird. It's also in a complete contradiction to what I remember the tyre screen showing before Qually starts shows as that for the balanced option had just medium and hard sets on it for the race while all the softs were in Qually. Very poor and confusing UI design, as it should tell you exactly what tyres you have and when. Can see why people have gotten confused.

I'll know in future to just ignore it. Strange thing is that I have never noticed it before :/

Strange thing is that I have never noticed it before :/ It’s always been there Peter but think it’s only really relevant if you are doing the Long Qualifying sessions. It’s a shame we can’t adopt that but with only 10-12 in game it would be a pointless exercise , apart from the waiting around for the other sessions to complete.. 😂
