Hey Joeri, here is my Twitch stream from our race, it probably won't load here but if you open the Twitch app itself and search for 'ChallengeGamest' you should be able to find me. The race begins at the 40min mark. Your English is superb by the way Thanks for sharing! Was fun to watch, specially from your viewpoint.

Thanks gents, a lot of the times I do go out with a full tank Sean lol, it's because i'm more so practicing for the event and/or too lazy to take some fuel out and then put it back in. Plus, there's always the chance to forget to put the fuel back in for the race.
Here is the video for Round 4 plus my onboard first lap from my helmet cam:

Horrible evening for this side of the Aston Martin garage.
Should have known it was going to be another one of those nights when I got into the garage and nothing was working. No setups were available to load, I couldn’t adjust anything and the save icon was constantly active in the lower right of the screen!!
Once I quit out and got back in via another invite that luckily had not expired things seemed to be back to normal other than the dodgy comms that was an issue throughout the evening.
Quali - 11th - 1:55.346: Quali was ok and my 1:55.346 was not far off the best I had managed in practice. I lost a few tenths at the chicane and final corner that prevented me getting into the 1:54’s but overall not too dissatisfied.
Race 10th: The formation lap was ok until the final chicane when somehow I ended up with a 5 second penalty and I noticed that Tyler beside me also had one so assume the game decided we clashed and penalised us both :/ Pain in the backside but nothing more, if only that was the end of it!!
On the opening lap things were really tight and I drove side by side with Tyler through part of the early lap but had no idea whether he was still beside me as we went around the tight loop before the Schumacher S so I stayed far left to make sure I gave enough room and ended up straying onto the dirt allowing him through. With subsequent bad line that left for the S I just allowed the following cars through as well rather than risk any contact as the track tightened so was at the back before the race was half a lap old. With the long race though I was not too fussed as there was plenty of time to make it back up but then the game decided to throw a spanner in the works. Will was two cars ahead of me as a trail of cars hit the chicane for the first time and I think he either had contact with someone or clipped a kerb and his car spun out towards the left leaving me a nice gap to take my line through the chicane, except his car then spun back across the track and T-boned me pushing me over the chicane. Amazingly I had zero damage (something was very off with so much in this race and that was just another indication as I should have picked some damage up from that heavy contact) so I carried on only to then get a dumbass warning that I had made an ‘illegal overtake’ and to let the car I had passed back through!! As a result I had to sit and wait along the start finish straight until Will’s stricken car had got back on track and made it’s way around and past me. By the time I was underway again I had lost 26 seconds to those ahead!! WTF was that about!! I don’t know whether this was something to do with the lag that was going on throughout or just the game completely making a hash of the incident. Either way I was not a happy camper and for the second race running was left in no-mans land with no one to race against for most of the race :/. Didn't help my own cause by spinning on the next lap between turns 2 and 3 trying too hard to get back up to Will to try to get past before the infield section!! The rest of it was a bit of a non-event really, just running my own laps and occasionally coming up to a car that had had an off or struggling but no actual racing to speak of or enjoy. I could see from the gaps to the group ahead that I was running at a similar pace so that was at least some consolation but it’s so frustrating knowing some good racing has been denied as a result of these type of things. It’s very easy to throw in the towel at those times but I just kept at it.
I pitted at the end of lap 22 with the stop going off without incident but once I was out and up to speed again… well, strike that… I didn’t get up to speed again as my lap times were now down as low as 2:00’s for a couple of laps and didn’t get into the 1:57’s for around 10 laps!! This despite no damage or any other issues. The car just seemed to have lost all pace and I didn’t get below 1:57 from that point on. Having checked the data post-race I can see that there were no major changes in tyre pressures or temperatures, track conditions, engine output, etc. and other than the fact I was using about a couple of tenths of a litre less fuel per lap there was nothing to explain the pace drop-off.
So overall a race to forget again…. a single point to take home and more than happy to see the back of Germany.

Q - 9 R - 9
What can i say that i haven't complained about already many times. This old xbox can not deal with the computing power required by this game. The tyres will be cold then be warm, then be cold again. the steering ratio seems to change randomly. Also, the engine power seems to fluctuate. I know Neale is on an old xbox as well and he doesn't seem to have as much difficulty as i do, but i can see in the data that he has some of the same symptoms i do. Looking at the final fastest lap times only Neale and i were able to do 59's in the second sector. Everyone else was more than a second slower through there, and that doesn't make sense. In my practice my best lap time was a 1:55.8 yet in the race i managed the fastest time with a 1:54 flat. That is unrealistic, something definitely effected that lap. I have the same issues with the vintage lotus cars in this game, the more people in the lobby the faster the car will go...it's unrealistic and frustrating when you're just trying to find some consistency. To top it off there seemed to be quite a bit of lag issues reminiscent of the older F1 days where you could be 4 or 5 feet from the car in front on your screen, but manage to send them into a spin with contact on theirs. That is the first time i've seen that issue in this game. It makes it difficult to race closely.
The xbox one x is on sale right now and i'm closer now to upgrading than ever before, but it's still gonna be a bit of a stretch. I'll see if i can convince the wife. One thing holding me back at this point is the new system is on the horizon.... and it's unlikely i'll be moving up to that.

Shelton had the same issue as you and Neale with the lower tyre temperatures. He has an Xbox S so there is cleary evidence there fo the fact the older consoles struggle under certain conditions. The concern now is that the next race at Watkins Glen has multiple weather slots and we know from the Vintage F1 races how much of an issue that can cause the older machines!!

Q - 2 R - 8
Qualifying went really well and I surprised myself with a Pole Lap until the dying seconds when Sean pipped me by 3 tenths (the bastard).
The Race turned out to be a bit of a nightmare though. Me and Sean were side by side as we crossed the line at the end of the formation lap and were passed by 3rd and 4th who were travelling about 50mph or more quicker than us. This is really hard to police unless we REALLY bunch up, which should be happening to be fair to avoid this. I managed to keep my foot in though and late braked into Turn 1 to take the lead. I then managed to open a small gap as Sean fought his way through back into 2nd. This was about 4 seconds, which grew to 5 seconds and held station for about 8 laps until a mistake saw me spin and graze the nose, damaging the aero and dropping to 3rd. I fought with it for a few laps, but had to pit as 4th place was gaining on me. I decided to fill the tank, repair and change the tyres, hoping it would last until the end of the race (knowing full well this was a massive gamble, but having no other choice if I wanted a podium). I fought back through to 4th and was watching the fuel drop after deciding to run on lean part way through the race. I should've ran lean from my pitstop and I might have made it. Instead, I had to pit about two laps from the finish and dropped to 8th. On the final lap, I could see 6th and 7th, but I was too far away and had picked up a 10 second penalty for coming in the pits too hot in my haste to lose as little time as possible. Ah well. It was a good race nonetheless and I had a great battle with an Aston Martin, but I can't remember who that was, maybe Niblips? I can't make Watkins Glen or Fuji, so I'm out of the running for sure now. I'll still carry on with the other races though.

I felt like i was causing you some grief while trying to stay ahead for those 10 or so laps that we were racing. sometimes the car was great and had power to pull away from you, other times the car was sluggish and twitchy and locked up the brakes....It was fun until my barrel roll.

I did call out that I was next to you a couple times during that opening lap Peter. The party coms were starting to fail at that point so you probably didn't hear me.
For quite awhile for me once we went to game chat almost everyone was very choppy and almost impossible to understand but it eventually cleared up.

When you first came out of the pits, I thought I might get you on cold tyres, but you pulled away. A while later, I could see you were struggling for whatever reason and then it was a case of finding a way past cleanly as once I was close it was a bit laggy and I didn't want to take you out. That barrel roll was impressive though, but a shame it ended such an epic battle.

The start was crazy, one car split us right after green going at Least 50mph faster than us and then overcooked the first turn. So I didn't feel the least bit bad pressuring him. Sucks you went off, you had a lot of speed. That's the same spot that maybe cost me a win when I went off there. Surprised you had to get more fuel again, that was just bad luck and would have been fine had you pitted a couple laps earlier the first time. Glad you could make it and will be able to make some more races. You're a threat every time you're on the grid. You race well and never give up.

Damn..anyone get video of the roll? Would be great to have an end of the season highlight vid of the biggest wrecks. Only one I've managed to capture was Dave at Bathurst, but that wasn't WEC.

I just am still struggling with the view and misjudged how close to the edge I was. Yeah it was pretty bad!!

Only problem with my view last race was seeing the names of everyone with a hot mic showing up right in my line of sight on a couple lefts.lol My FOV is 56 now, but I couldn't ever get my seat right for some reason. One thing I dislike is if you adjust your seat, it adjusts in all the cars. So if I go drive the RSR and adjust the seat, the C7R seat will have to be adjusted again. Not a huge deal, unless you have OCD tendencies.lol

I'll check my LTA and maybe alter that but but I'm pretty sure my FoV is more then 56, more like 70ish I think. Agree with you that it would be nice if the changes were only reflected in the car you made them in.

Yeah, having a bit of breathing room after turn one allowed me to just bang in consistent 55's that were maybe a tenth or two apart for maybe 7 or 8 laps. The car was properly on point. Until I spun it. Twat. No footage of Niblips barrel roll I'm afraid as it was in the last 15mins or so of the race. Thanks Sean, I'll be at COTA (Although I fucking hate it lol)
