So pcars is my addiction. I have spent far too many hours and pounds on this game. I paid my £100 for pcars 2. I used to be a forza guy, but pcars has won me over. I was that guy trying to convince people to get it at launch. It was somewhat of a clusterfuck at launch.
Now its so nearly perfect the 2nd screen apps have added so much depth to the game. I play with an f1 playseat, thrustmaster tx, th8a, t3pa pro pedals and a butkicker on a 65" 4k tv. All of this was bought solely to play pcars on.
I have a VERY understanding Mrs who will let me do all nighters if I keep the volume down and wake her up with tea and toast.
I work away through the week, so usually only get online at a weekend.
I have three leagues I race in currently a Saturday night, Sunday night and Monday night, but I'm always up for more races to learn different cars.

Welcome to the site Ian and it certainly appears that you have the Pcars bug very very badly, although I must confess that before Pcars I had not used a racing game for many a year and know I have a Playseat, TX wheel and just taken receipt of the T3pa pro pedals.
Oh then I go and make this site and currently watching motors tv who are showing an ESP SIM race at Donnington ...h'mmm think I need to go and see a doctor about a bug!
Looks like you have your hands full with leagues at the moment but we will see what we can do to peek your interest and would appreciate any ideas that you have.
Expect a thread opening about the pedals as I need advice on the brake mod
Welcome again

Hi Ian, I'm very jealous of your set up due to spare I'm still using a pad though when I get the money I may get a playseat challenge and a wheel to go with. Again welcome to the site I look forward to racing with and learning from you.

I think all you'll learn from me is how to be a massive child at the age of 35. I'm sure one day I'll grow up. That's the day I'm dreading. Walking past the Xbox room and thinking "nah I'll watch great British bake off instead".

Trust me I got being a 35 year old child down to a art form. It's to the point I have more warhammer than my eldest. Do you ever get to go to any races? Last year I had a mega year of Motorsport with Silverstone becoming my second home. If you worry about watching the great bristish bake off, substitute it for old reruns of Nigella Lawson, it's gonna make you a giggling 16 year old again with out fail.

Last year I got into btcc. So I'm hoping this year I can go to oulton park. Hopefully more if funds allow. Buying another house boring adult shit sometimes has to take priority apparently. Used to be really into f1 but fell out of love with it. As I work in Edinburgh and live in Oldham fingers crossed knockhill too.

Our plan for this year if we can fit it in is to follow the BTCC to every circuit.
As we cant grow up we have decided to do a sporting event theme each year , in 2015 we did the Rugby World Cup, 3000 miles, open ceremony, 2 pool games, both semis and the final, OK OK we got carried away but it was an amazing adventure.
At the end of January we go to South Africa for 3 weeks and hoping to take in one of the England South Africa cricket tests
Then at end of 2016 I need to go and see the bank manager !!

Im ste and my xbox gt is PLASTIKMAN66 (is should be in capitals but the forum wont allow it)
Pcars is brilliant and I would love it if we can grow this community.
As well as playing quite a bit of Pcars I also race Karts in the real world. I have raced a bit of 2 stroke Formula TKM over the years at places like 3 sisters, GYG, rowrah and hooton park. Also in 2015 I raced in the British 24 hour kart race at teeside in the hire classes. I won pole for my team in a field of around 50 odd and also got the fastest lap too. Think we finished 5th overall.
It's fair to say I am a better real racer than a game racer. Using a pad probably doesnt help.
I look farward to some great clean racing.

welcome ste, its good to have somebody else on board, although I think it will be a slow burn to gather enough members, but hopefully we are here for the long haul and word of mouth is the key.
The karting experience sounds really good, but how does it translate to Pcars?

The karts in Pcars are nothing like real karts. They just dont work right.
There is quite a lot of relation. Just thought I would tell you a little about myself outside of Pcars.

Ian
You will have my name from the xboxracer.co.uk site, although I only did a couple of TT on pcars before they binned pcars.
So whoes Megane tune did you use, think it maybe worth linking to individual tunes stored on the web in the tuning thread for discussion/information
