Through the board stats I see a few regular racers join up and visit the board on a regular basis but do not interact through the board or with the events. So I am wondering why that is, as somewhere along the line we snagged your interest and you keep returning - so is there something we can provide that we currently dont that will make you come out and say hello Why not get involved with the tt to start with, they are good fun and great for learning race craft. Its not just about winning, but the interaction with other racers and they are a great ice breaker to get to know people If you want to run an event just pipe up, its not as bad as you think and the forum can help with the posts and rules stuff Come on guys join in , we all joined for the same reason to have some fun racing and just think 18 months ago I was a lurker as well

"get involved with the tt to start with, they are good fun and great for learning race craft. Its not just about winning, but the interaction with other racers"
And it's for all levels, not just the top racers. Getting involved will make you a better racer!

*inhales loudly* It's looking a bit more populated in here these days. Is it really the case that only 10 from 60 post but 60 people regularly lurk? Curious. Such a friendly place, I'd have thought that would've encouraged people to speak up or join in with some TT at least. Probably terrified of saying something people disagree with like 9 from 10 internet forums. Still on gardening leave from racing but I can assure you silent is something I'm not Good to see the wheels still turning here, Bud! I've not put foot to gas in so long I think I may have forgotten which pedal does what.

Hi All - new member to the forum.
My journey with racing in some respects is a long one, however what's happened recently is that I was in Vegas for a friend's 50th and he took us all to Exotics racing where did 8 laps with a pro-coach in the vehicle with us. I took out the Ferrari Italia and posted the fastest time out of our group. It stoked the need and I couldn't stop thinking about the experience. Financially and with life pressures there's no way I'm going to start racing - not to mention that here in Canada it takes a lot of travel. So with a bunch of research I landed on that PC2 on my Xbox would be best. Before playing the game I ordered a Thrustmaster TX leather and a WheelstandPro as well as upgraded my Xbox One S to an X.
I was gone for a week to Vancouver where I took advantage of the time and watched nearly all of the insider series videos from the PC2 website. Really really helped me get started. Having said that though it's still been a tough start....which drives me all the more.....lol..... So where I'm at right now is I'm still pretty much exclusively in the Ginetta G40 Junior in career mode. I've just recently turned full damage on and have had everything set to authentic from the start. I'm doing manual shift but not using the clutch pedal yet - tried it and it was just too much until I'm better with driving lines etc. I've got one more Ginetta race and then I'll go back to the junior indy cars next, so I'm getting there. Have managed a couple of wins and getting pretty regular mid pack now. I'm really trying to practice clean racing right now while I'm still doing the career mode - sometimes the AI drivers make that tough.....they don't seem to follow the smart racing tips.....
I've tried one multiplayer online experience. So my race license was U1500 and I jumped into an unrestricted GT3 race. Didn't know the track, didn't know the car so you can guess that I wasn't trying to win but rather wanted to get a sense of what it was like. I was disappointed in the number of serious people in there - they were just a bunch of yahoos that should be playing Horizon 4 and playing smash up. So I'm very hopeful from everything I read that league races are going to be the ticket - I've joined a bunch of the forums and this seems like the right place as your console focused.
So thanks for the join, am looking forward to being an active member and I'll apologize now 'cause you guys are bound to be subjected to my learning curve at some point :0)
