Zack has been updating his tuner app lately and it just keeps getting better. I find that it really does a good job getting you to a base line set up to start with, especially with the suspension section. I would recommend it, definitely worth 10$ ! PC2 Tuner app

Nice one Pete. I need to check this out again as it sounds a really useful tool. I need to revisit that video you posted a link for a while ago. With all the issues we were having around the game I decided to hold fire with it at that point.
It's a shame that it is not app based so you can use it on a mobile device like a phone or tablet as well.

Yeah, no mobile or tablet use there, too complicated I think. Plus he's got certain methods to check and control copying the app to others that uses functions from the PC to control that. I found that the Gearing function worked quite well also. And the latest version has all the default values already in the suspension panel so you don't have to input them as it was before. He should have all the newest values installed from patch 5 soon. He also has a data base on his site where you can upload your set ups and check other set ups too. The app creates an XML file which can then be uploaded directly to the app to input the data from set ups. Here's some of the screen shots of the Dallara set up panels. GearsSuspTyres

It does look really good. I read some of what's on the site and will watch the video tonight. I'll probably make the purchase as it's always good to show the appreciation for the work these guys put in to these things.

he does updates regularly. And if you do get it, you may need to temporarily dis-able you firewall when you install it. Then after it's all installed, you can turn it back on. Depends on your firewall Inbound/Outbound settings.

I have really struggled with using this tool tbh. I really like the concept and I am sure in the hands of those that know what they are doing it works as it is supposed to but for me at the moment it's causing more confusion than clarity lol. I'll experiment with it when I have some spare time but for there really needs to be a manual with clear definitions of what everything means and what you need to do to change what you see in graphs. The annotated image that was produced for one of the graphs would really help for all sections for a layman like me.
The Discord method of discussion I find quite odd and confusing as well and very difficult to find information, especially if you are away from it for any length of time as I have been over the past couple of weeks. With discussions mixed into a single linear thread all questions and answers get mixed up together rather than having their own structure as with a standard forum so it takes a lot of reading through everything to try to find what you are looking for and that has also played it's part in my inability to get to grips with the tool.
I really applaud what has been done with this and will continue to check it out and read as much as I can on Discord but I will await the manual that I believe is in the pipeline before I am able to utilise it to it's fullest.

Hey Peter, Here's a Linear progression of what to do with the pc2tuner.
Typical Work Flow The most common workflow method is below: 1) Design the suspension in the design tool and take a drive. 2) Check that your dampers are suitable with Suspension FFT and Damper Histogram 3) Check the Ride Height and the down force (really useful in my opinion) 4) Check Wheel Slip to adjust the Differential 5) Check Tyres setup to adjust camber, tyre pressure and anti-roll bars
Granted that is in a simplistic form, and detailed help is needed for each step. Hopefully the needed help manuals will get released soon. But, if you want to get in a party at some time, I can walk you thru each step that I use so that you get a personal explanation in simple terms to get you up and running fast.
There's a few easy tricks to get it done fast, but it's hard to explain in text, better to just do it live and then you'll see for yourself how easy it can actually be.
Note: Probably a good idea to explain it with a more standard car like a Audi R8 or something. Some of the cars that we are using now like the Lotus and Indi are particularly complicated with the tuner because of their limitations.
Hit me up anytime you want, I'm always available as you know. I'd be glad to help you.

Cheers Peter that helps but the difficulty is in knowing what you are looking for from each graph \ analysis to know what to adjust to correct it. For example if the graph shows this, try this type of thing. Very simplistic I know but that's what I have been trying to work out based on the various snippets of information I have been trying to piece together from the discussions. I agree that the ride height section is particularly useful and probably the simplest part to understand hence why I get that part lol.
I do need to try to put aside some time for a good long session where I just concentrate on using the tool and trying to work out what each thing does and how each change effects the analysis and then maybe it will click into place.
I think another area where I struggle though is with regard to the manual inputs for example the wheel diameter size where it seems a bit difficult to know what to put if the game does not have the correct real life wheel sizes as this throws out the graphing if input incorrectly I assume.

I have been data mining through discord (not the best means to get the info as it is scattered across all the posts) and making a step by step that works for me. I can email a copy to you (I am currently revising it for readability). I should have that done sometime today.

After I posted it, I found some more graphics to help explain some items. I will upload the newest version later today.
If you need help with the sheet contents give a shout. I may put a quick help document in the workbook. There are some formulas in the sheet and it is not password protected, so be careful. Also there is conditional formatting on most sheets. For the differential one, you can type in a desired slip percentage and it will highlight the cells that are closest to your input. Helps out with figuring out the # of clutches and ramp angles. The track times shades green for fastest through yellow to red for slowest and you can sort the columns. The time format is mm:ss.000. Anything different will not work.
There is more, but I don’t have the sheet in front of me.

Updated spreadsheet. I added in some help text on the applicable sheets. I also locked the cells that don't require user input. If you want to unlock it, not an issue, there is not a password. Attachments:Fuel and TiresV2.xlsx (510.61 KB)

After almost a whole year of trying almost every conceivable FFB settings for the Logitech G920, I think I have found a good set up. The main issue that held me back from finding a great feeling was the thought that GAIN had to be set at 100% for the system to work at it's peak. Fortunately, by trial I found that for the G920, 50~60 % Gain is more than enough, and also allows for the previously un-used function of FX to now be able to be utilized for much better feel all the way around. I have experimented with about seven classes of cars and found this to be the general settings that work well for me. RAW 60/32/78/50. At the very least you could try it and see what you think, especially with 12 cars on track.

Gave your settings a go. It seemed that I could feel understeer and oversteer better. The only problem I had was that my wheel was not heavy enough. I have settled on RAW/65/32/80/50/0.15.

What wheel do you have Rob? With my TX I have pretty much settled on the SimRacingGirls wheel settings, been using them for a couple of months now and find them very good.

I tried her settings but it just felt too heavy and dead for me. Try out the ones I posted above and let me know what you think. I am going through career races in the BMW 320 (E90) TC and the feed back I get now seems to communicate what the car is doing better than previous settings and has enabled me to make less mistakes (I can usually catch the back end before it passes the front end, usually)
