After playing around with it a bit I can confirm that it's very disorganized. It might work for quick chat between teammates for car setups and last minute notifications but I think what we've got here is good enough and I like how it's formatted much better👍 I'm not sure how much i'll be using discord but if you want to add me my number is #1241. What's your username Tyler... Seems you need that and the number.

Loved this video. It says it's the Lotus 27 but it looks very much like the 25 and the way it drives is so familiar to what we were driving last series as well.

I enjoyed that vid Pete, eerily similar indeed! That put a smile on my face. They even make the same mistakes we do like at the corkscrew. I believe last year's IndyCar about 3 of us spun out there including me.

I really need to work on Laguna Seca... I have never had a decent race there... I really don't know the circuit. Willow Springs, on the other hand, I have now driven way more than i should probably. Had another practice race yesterday. 85 mostly boring laps.

I probably won't even set foot in the Modern IndyCar until after the TCR Cup finishes, which has 2 events remaining. So about 3 more weeks.

In today's episode of The Grand Tour, Richard Hammond does a great piece about Jim Clarke. He drives a Lotus 25 and there's footage of all the old tracks. Including his (this series) IndyCar. Pretty cool to check out.

I need to subscribe to amazon prime to watch that. As funny as those guys are, and as entertaining as they have been, i just can't bring myself to pay for amazon prime.

What are you guys doing to remove the wander once the vintage tires go on. I've spent a solid hour tuning to no avail having tried multiple approaches.
Going back thru the messages I see there's no real cure. Keep the speed down and it stays manageable but you guys are turning some pretty solid lap times.
I've posed the question to the PCTuner crowd and we'll see what they come back with. At Daytona I've done all kinds of modifications even messed with different diff's all to no avail. In analysis it shows right rear wheel slip which I believe is in fact happening and causing the drift. You'll notice it occurs worse above a certain speed and if you're a little harder on the gas - getting up to speed takes a couple laps to keep it at bay even with the stock gearing.

There's not much that can be done. The car was made specifically for the Indy 500 so much of the suspension is locked in place.
We're running on 4 tracks the car never was ment for. That's part of the challenge with this series and why we're only doing 5 races.
It feels like you're drunk when you go down the straights in this thing lol

Try playing around with the toe setting. Myself and Karl did this and have got the car far more manageable than it was to start with. I'll be interested to hear what the pcTuner guys day about it. You can't get rid of it completely but that toe adjustment helps a lot. You have to be careful around turn 3 due to a couple of bumps there so just reduce the throttle a little and you should be good to go. Get on the throttle too early and you'll be losing the back of the car and be in big trouble.

I'll give it a go.
On another note our old buddy Mr Blonde messaged me saying he was joining us in the Vintage Indycar series. He's registered for the site more so that is one extra body on the grid.
I re-posted on the pCars forum and over at GTPlanet as well. I'll send another msg on my Xbox friend list as well.
I'm planning to create a Facebook page and Discord channel for the site to try to find some other drivers that way as well.
Any other ideas anyone please let me know.
