Did more tweaking at Azure-Monaco, I'm assuming it's an all-clear race without rain? Thanks to Hammer for the suggestion to lower the TP to 1.17, it proved to be a good one. Got them up to 82°C

If everyone can connect good and we get going on time we probably could do 34 laps seeing as how we're all around 1:46-48 which is slightly quicker than I originally calculated

Great job tonight guys, such a tough track to negotiate but excellent effort from everyone in keeping it clean throughout.
Congrats to Boothy for the victory, terrific drive all round and to Tyler for the podium spot but a big pat on the back to everyone for making the race a fun one. A great start to our Vintage series here on CRF.

That was a good bit of fun, I had no idea Jim Clark was still alive! Well done Matthew!
I had a good pace going and beat my best time by over a second so i'm pleased with that! I however was paying too much attention to what everyone was talking about and clipped the sea side barrier by the Louis Chiron and damaged my suspension on lap 29 or 30 (I need to adjust my earbud volume more). I kept going because it was still quite drivable but noticed Peter quickly catching me. On lap 33 coming out of the tunnel I looked behind me for a split second and lost control, I then clipped the left wall and spun out by the Nouvelle Chicane. That's when I thought I was DEAD LMAO! Peter easily got past, he was much faster to begin with and deserved 2nd more anyway.
I somehow kept it together, pitted and came home with another solid Podium finish behind our boys from across the pond! Great Job mates! And for sure a great job to everyone as that was a surprisingly well done event
Sucks that Gary had connection issues because he was very quick.
Sticking true to the rules though, it's ultimately up to Gary if we should add this round back onto the end of the season like Karl suggested and just call tonight's race a practice event.

Just a quick comment on this one.. I hadn't actually realised that there was a rule relating to this and would have definitely queried it if I had. I'm my opinion connection issues should only really effect a re-run if 'multiple' people are involved which of course devalues the race. To re-run for a 'single' disconnect tbh in my view is unneccesary and would make it a real possibility that the season would never finish as disconnects are part and parcel of multiplayer racing unfortunately. We had a really good race last night and although I'm gutted for Gary that it never got going I'm not sure it's sensible or fair on everyone to re-run the race. That would be my stance regardless of who got disconnected, myself included. I would suggest the rule in question be adjusted to call for a re-run only if 'multiple' disconnects occur. Just my opinion of course.

I think in order to run in this league you must have a hard wired Xbox with reliable ISP. Massive lag which we saw is not suitable.

Yeah I definitely agree with all of that, if it's more than one person for sure. I just thought it would be fair to get everyone who was making an effort to race the chance at some points. I honestly don't want to redo the round either haha If it was only me with connection problems i'd most likely tell you guys the same thing to keep going unless we were in a heated battle or something.
We did try to get him in but it's just how it goes sometimes.
Quick question, do you want me to update the standings page or are you going to take care of it like in the IndyCar page?
EDIT: I changed the rules & regulations to 'if multiple people have connection issues' in the connections part

Good racing last night guys, enjoyed that immensely First quali session was really fun, the 20 minutes allowed time to get the tyres properly up to temperature and each lap was getting quicker although I doubt I was going to match Boothy’s pole time but was happy to be in second place when we had to pull the plug to start again. The short second session didn’t really give enough time to get the optimum time in but was happy enough to be on the second row with a 1:45.255 which Dude just pipped by .029 in the closing seconds. Race start was confusing at first as Dude’s car didn’t move off the grid at the lights so I was able to slot in behind Boothy into turn 1 and on the run up to Casino. Tyler and Hurt were close behind over the early laps before I opened up a slight gap of 3-5 seconds before my mistake on lap 8 when I was coming up behind Hurt who had pitted following damage and I got distracted by his car ahead and missed my braking point into Mirabeua, locked up and had contact head on with the barrier. I managed to reverse and get going again just as Sgt came past and followed him for a couple of laps but the contact had given me left-front suspension damage which although not too bad for most of the lap was causing me problems into Massenet and that caught me out on lap 10 when I went to turn in and the car spun around on me. Got back going without losing any places so was still in 3rd but decided to pit for repairs and give myself a clean car in the hope I could make up the lost time with a good long clear run. I pitted at the end of the lap but the minute plus stop meant I lost a place to Y22 so re-joined in 4th place. I was someway adrift but had over a minute on Karls car behind and knew everyone still had their mandatory stop to make so all was not lost. Y22 must have had an incident on lap 12 as the gap suddenly came right down and then I spotted his car in the pits as I was going through the swimming pool and it was still there when I made my way around the last turn. By the time he re-joined he was a minute 15 behind me so he must have had a pretty big hit somewhere :/ So I am now back up into 3rd and about a minute 30 something behind Boothy and a minute from Tyler in second place. I lost some time getting past a lapped car but all good and clean and as we hit the 21 lap mark I had made up 5 or 6 seconds on Tyler and with Boothy now taking his stop the gap to him was around 54 seconds with Tyler inheriting the lead briefly. Once Tyler had made his stop and Boothy had gone back to the front the gaps were about 45 seconds to Boothy and 35 to Tyler. From about lap 24 though the gap to Tyler was coming down consistently by around 5 seconds a lap so I knew he must have hit trouble but was trying to manage it top the flag. The gap to Boothy stayed pretty much the same throughout this period as he settled down to just bring the car home. The Tyler gap was down to 15 seconds as we ended lap 30 so it was touch and go but I knew I had to just keep it consistent, not try to overdrive it and keep the pressure coming. A damaged car here is very tough to manage so I was not giving up. I took 7 seconds out of it on lap 31 and now I could see the target ahead of me.. I was coming for you Tyler Lap 32 and another big chunk of time dropped in the first sector and as I went around Casino I could see Tylers car just about to turn into Mirabeau… getting close.. was there enough time!! Keeping it all nice and neat and making sure there were no mistakes I knew I could get on his tail by the end of this lap but then I went through the tunnel and as my eyes hit daylight there on the side of the track was a stricken Lotus.. I initially thought it was Pete but then as I flashed past I noted my marker on the positions screen move up a spot so realised it was Tyler who had dropped it there. Gutted for him and would have preferred to take the place with a genuine pass but hey it’s all racing. I just made sure the last two laps were error free as there was no way of catching Boothy at this point with the gap having remained constant at around 43-45 seconds. Delighted to grab second place at such a tough track. One mistake can wreck your race so well done to all that managed to negotiate their way to the finish and to Y22 who had an unfortunate end to his race. A great way to start this new season with 8 of us on the grid although of course Gary wasn’t able to stay there for long. Better luck next time buddy.

Q-1 R-1 Did a faster lap in the 1st qualifying session so was disappointed with my time despite being 0.8 up on 2nd Race was pretty comfortable once got about 10 seconds clear i settled into a comfortable pace in 45-47's where i could protect my engine & brakes by coasting on entry to the swimming pool pitted on lap 20 fixed everything including my engine since had about 50 sec gap at the time came out in 2nd but they pitted the next lap then it was more coasting home really had an incident at the top of the hill clipped the barrier on the left hand side and a spin on the exit of the swimming pool. Pretty comfortable race all in all

^^^ I see a one second difference between Qualy and Race in a lot of situations. I don't see a need to repeat Azure, we tested before, and yesterday proved out the requirements. It's not good for one to have lag and such, but when it really affects the others it is less than desirable. If anyone is trying to test or determine what to do for better web performance you need the real data first. This site has a great set of tools that can provide that data. The Speed Test is an overall check, and the Line Quality Test will show you How much delay and hops you make to get to your server. Spped Test and Line Quality Test

I can now start recording footage😀 from the race last night as we all seem to be on the same page with the furture connection procedures.

You produce the videos and I'll write the reports I also saved the race recording but ok just but sure I'll have the time to put anything together. I just wish they allowed us to save more replays or at least upload them somewhere rather than having to replay them and record them onto another source. Annoying :/

My Girlfriend has been on a library kick lately so i've been reading the F1 encyclopedia. It's very outdated (from 1996) but an interesting enough read. I don't know how truthful it is because it states that during the tragic 1977 South African Grandprix where Tom Pryce and Track Marshal Frederick Jansen van Vuuren were killed, Renzo Zorzi pulled off to the side of the track, "There was no problem and he was getting himself out and trying to extricate his helmet oxygen supply when a young marshal ran across the track to stand by in case of fire. Pryce crested the brow, killed the marshal intstantly and died when he was hit by the fire extinguisher" Which was a straight up lie because Zorzi's engine was already smoking (if you watch the video footage), thus why Vuuren and the other Marshal were rushing to his car with the fire extinguisher. Not to mention the fact they didn't even mention his name... Back on topic, I think one of the devs or moderators on the Project Cars 2 formus said once that they have an external harddrive just for their replays. P.Cars almost needs it's own cloud storage for just replays
