Is it with xbox live or f1 2018? I just tried a different game and experienced no issues.
Did you both try turning your xbox off and back on? haha

Getting everyone in might pose a problem then. Let's hope it's stable around that time.
I should get a text message when it's resolved.

That's odd. My setting also says unavailable but I also just joined a random lobby online race and it seems to be working.

Argh!! Dopey sod... bit of a pinball in those first few corners and then got caught out by the concertina into turn 13 and damaged my front wing when Mike had to brake suddenly so I had to pit straight away. Putting on the supers to enable me to still do the two stopper.
Struggled to find some rythm but was moving up as others had issues and then had a great battle with Railer after he pitted for fresh ultra's. Managed to get past him into turn 3 which was vital with his gripper tyres and then had to fight him off for about the next ten laps. Not sure whether he pitted because his eyes were giving up or to try to make the undercut but it was all looking good with a 30 second less and my tyres looking good for some time to come until I tried to push a little too early or of the fast turn 12, caught a bit of kerb and then soared to the inside wall. Thought I was going to stop in time it at least with just wing damage but no such luck and my wheel popped 9ff. Race over. An easy 10 or 12 points thrown away Doh!!
Oh well, it's a long season so full on Bahrain.

Gutted to have crashed out, wouldn't have minded a podium, but was just happy with my pace and consistency for my first proper race with the wheel. Not entirely sure what happened though, the SS just got really slippery for some reason so at T5 it just span into the wall with no hope 🤷🏻♂️
Shame as was having a right proper scrap with Karl, but oh well, long season so plenty of time.

Congrats Neale on your maiden F1 victory (pending scrutineering for possible technical infringements... lol). I captured a fair bit of you and Alec at the front after I decided to end my race prematurely 🙄. Well done Alec and Karl on the podium and everyone else that finished. A bit of first race rust clearly contributing to the dnf's I think. Hoping that's my first and last of the session. A good start grid size wise but I'm hoping the no-shows will be able to make it for Bahrain.

Q - 1 R - DNF Had a good start for once, Had a bit of a gap knocked some of my front wing off pitted then hunted down Karl/Mitch to get back to 3rd then got on the grass after the right after the car park bit and kept my foot in and steered straight and just went nope straight into the wall then back across into the other wall Gutted, A podium was on I shall see you in China, As Bahrain is mother's day ive got zero chance of getting out of that one

Q had a fair first stint on SS then decided to go out on US and put in a stomping lap which ended me up in 3rd for race . R had a fantastic start of line which got me up to 2nd for first corner then managed to keep with boothy with Alex close behind then there it was boothy had a moment passed with ease. I was leading with Alex following. And that’s that 😂 did have a few issues here and there but nothing to worry about . What am I saying it was hell! I was F cked by the end of the race my legs were aching,my finger was killing me just from changing gears on paddle . boy did I enjoy crossing that line in first 😝😃😝 Thank you Alex for keeping the pressure on me and not letting me rest😩 😂 Great evening well done to finishers and podium boys and everyone else. Thank you from Australian Grand Prix WINNER, leader of the championship 😜😂😂. Thank you again to all my fans out there for their support so many people out there said I couldn’t do it and I have proven them wrong 😂😂😂😂

1stly, thank you for welcoming me into the F1 side of our forum, with some more familiarity with the game and it’s systems I’m fairly sure I’ll be a little more competitive.
2ndly well done to Neale for your win.
My race was mostly keeping out of the way of the quicker drivers and learning how to run a Grand Prix distance on a game I’ve barely touched, I got a fairly good start from the back of the grid and made up some places in the 1st corner shunt, I struggled to keep any competitive laptime until the final 3rd of the race but by then it was too late.
That said there were some parts of the race where I was chasing people and closing gaps pushing for overtakes which I throughly enjoyed.
I’ll get some more practice in and hopefully be more competitive in Bahrain in a few weeks.
Cheers
Dave

Q:I did 2 hours of the 2018 game. 1 hours practice in Melbourne. So I was very glad with my 1.24.xxx Was 1.5 seconds up in run 2 but wrote the car off in to te wall @ turn 5.
R:Had a good start, inside of te first corner and good exit. Wright a way I knew I was going to be a tuff race. On full fuel the car was difficult to handle. In lap 2 did the same as in Q and game over. Was a nice feeling to race again with some guys I raced against in 2013. I am 110% motivated to have a better 2de race.
Thanks guys

My apologies to both Haas drivers as I believe I punted you both on lap 1. Q: Had to avoid a car in the apex of turn 11 and spun into the grass. Was DQ'd turning the car around. R: This game is too much for me. I can't understand my lack of ability/pace. Crashed out on lap 5 or so. To be so far off pace is embarrassing.

Had 30 minutes of practice to get somewhat decent setup. Q: 8 R:4 At the start, I didn't have revs up, was thinking pcars2. Lost a place until turn 1. Saw smoke and dust but stayed to the right and dodged my teammate and another car. Was running in 5th and had good pace, until lap 3 hit the wall in turn 5, backend got away from me. It gave too much understeer so decided to pit. Came out behind Peter and had a good battle with him for 10 laps or so. Would close up in turn 3 and 15 but he had great speed and didn't want to damage my car with any crazy attempt at passing. I braked late in turn 9 causing me to spin and Peter was gone. I kept digging and my lap times were dropping quite well. The ss tires went away at 35%. Wound up doing 4 pit stops. Last pit stop I requested fresh us tyres and Jeff sent me back out with used ones. Was trying to keep pace and stay out of leaders way. Saw Nelson coming up and gave him room on turn 13. Braked late for turn 15 and went off track letting 2nd and 3rd by. Pink panther was excited to cross the finish line in 4th. Sorry my comms weren't working cause you could have heard me hollering crossing the finish line.

Apologies for being a bit ragged at times, I was struggling and pretty inconsistent at times last night and really had a problem with the view at turns 3 and 9 in particular which caused me to miss my braking spot several times (sometimes too early others too late lol) but I was having some fun and looked forward to us possibly rejoining the battle after my second stop but then I dropped the ball on the exit of turn 11 and that was that. More fun for us at Bahrain though I suspect

Keep with it Hurtmagurt ( sorry don’t know your name) I too struggle at the minute and did so a lot during the last season.. I race with the back 3-4 as I can’t keep up with those big boys at the front, (not yet anyway) with a few newcomers there a better feeling of having others to race with rather than always moving over for blue flags which I am now an expert at.. As for my race : Q: none , couldn’t get connected. R: started 12th got a good start making 2-3 places only to have to back off at the first corner because of mayhem... lol, anyway had some challenges with Lemarrr and a couple of others here and there , happy with my result although did stop 5 times so could have been better... overall enjoyed the race.. Well done to my Team mate Neale... (yes buddy) and the Ferrari team for topping the bill in both Driver and Constructor which I have no doubt will be short lived as I can’t keep up with the number one driver.. haha.. Thanks to all for waiting for me and giving me the chance to join.. Let’s all put it out there and see if we can increase numbers..

Make sure to not have the ballast too far to the rear as that really makes the car unstable into the corners. Try the setup I used to see if it makes things any more manageable for you as that was fairly stable, you can grab it from my TT ghost.
