Q 11 R DNF in 7th A very confusing first race to say the least I was the first car to crash in qualifying after hitting the wall in one of the high speed corners so not much there I had the worst start by far on the grid but It worked in my favour and I managed to maneuver the number 24 sauber around the outside of the turn 1 carnage which jumped me up to 6th before the end of lap 1 then some people pitted and I jumped up to 4th but soon Pete was right behind me and pressured me into making a mistake then nothing else of interest happened until I hit the wall in the castle section on lap 37 I believe.
PS. Boothy I'm British not American

Q: 3 R: DNF
Didn't manage to get any practice on a full fuel load which ultimately led to my crash.
Binned it into the wall on my first attempt on the SS tyres. Went back in for a new front wing, out and set a decent time on the US but still time to find. Waited for the end of the quali session then went out for one last attempt. Did not have a good first sector which but recovered decently in the final two sectors. Enough for P3.
Saw at the start of the race that Neale went slightly into the back of Karl on my screen, some of Neale's front wing fell off. Neale and I were side by side through turn 2 and down the exit of the straight (nice driving to stay clean there). Then out came the VSC. I'm not sure what happened on the VSC restart, but Karl seemed slow to react, Neale was all over him but had to back off braking into the tight turn 15, I didn't have the same realization and somehow found a way by Neale without touching the walls (my highlight of the race). Then I had my first experience going through turns 18/19 on full fuel, nearly clipped the inside wall. Followed closely behind Boothy and Karl the next lap until turns 18/19 again, where this time I clipped the inside of 19 and it bounced me directly into the wall on the exit. Front left tyre gone, race over.
Shame, that was shaping up to be quite a nice battle between the top 4. Just can't keep it clean around Baku. Oh well. I'll upload my clip later if anyone wants to feel better about their race or crash... mine was pretty pathetic.

Well I was happy with Q Race not a great start but did get up the side of Alex then as Karl braked so so so early 😜I hit his rear and damage my front wing then I think caused even more issues at turn 1 behind me. So All Karl’s fault 😂😂😂 Then with Alex next to me we both raced to corner 2 side by side though that with some great racing VSS came out and Karl slow to go again when it ended put me in a bad position And had to slow up and Alex just found that gap and he was pass me like a rocket . Poo I thought! Then after fast left and right found I had to ease up due to wing damage from start so decided to pit . Came out and had to try and chase down the pack was closing on Peter who was on top of Mick and then they had a issue with peter nodding off due to his lack of sleep😜and taking out Mick. Then my target was Mitch slowly closed the gap then Mitch pitted, Had a gap of 9 seconds got that gap up to a 10 second gap then started to hit traffic and times started going up and down. Tyres going of now so decided to pit to next SS. Mitch now ahead chased Mitch down as he was driving like a old granny😜😂 got pass him at Zebra crossing 😂 and got a slight gap now and CRASH THE END. Well done Peter,Mitch,Karl podium boys Well done all that finished And all that had a part in race.

Wow!! That was one tough race for everyone... except karl and Mitch it seems lol. Quali: P5Forgot to set my stream up and messed up my first run before I even started so came straight back in and and refocused for the next two attempts. First one was just a sighter getting the feel for the track and only a 1:43 something. Second one was much better at 1:41.5 which although a second slower than my pb was good enough for 5th place. Not sure I would have matched Neale who was a second better and 5th was much better than I expected. Race: P3Had brain fade at the start and jumped it.. no idea what happened I just released the clutch before the lights went out and that was that, drive through penalty :/ Got a little nudge into turn 1 which pushed me too deep but no damage and I rejoined having lost a place to Mitch but better off than poor Greg who's race was ended before it began. Better luck next race Greg The VSC popped up until just after the castle section and then we were on our way again. Took my penalty straight away and rejoined in 7th behind Micko and chased him down over the next couple of laps with him holding off my DRS attempt on lap 2 but I kept on his tail over the following lap, almost had him after he ran wide exiting the castle and then at turn 15 went wide again so I had another good run on him and went for the gap on the right but he started to close that so I had to go left but seemed to clip his left-rear spinning him around and damaging my right-front wing. I stayed out but quickly found it was too hazardous so came in at the end of lap 4 and went early to the red super-softs. Rejoined still in 6th with Micko 5 seconds behind and Charlie almost 30 seconds to the good in 5th. I had considered letting Micko through but he fell back by over a dozen seconds so I just pushed on chasing Charlie down. Boothy then dropped out and by the end of lap 10 I was passed Charlie and up into 4th place with Mitch 40 seconds ahead and Micko 18 seconds behind. That was pretty much it as far as far as racing was concerned and the rest of the race was just about putting in some consistent times and making sure I kept it out of the wall. Pitted at the end of lap 27 for another set of reds, Neale's race ending incident promoted me to the podium and I had some solid laps managing to set fastest lap twice before Karl nicked it off me with half a dozen laps left. I was going for it again as I had saved some fuel but managed to clip the outside wall at turn 1 twice on successive attempts, damaging my wing so decided discretion was the better option rather than risk anything more. I did however consider coming in for a set of ultra's to try to take it back but with my team mate looking like he will be in with a good run at the Championship I opted to stay out, finish the race and leave the extra point where it was. All in all a very enjoyable couple of hours and third place was definitely better than I could have hoped. Well done to my teammate on the second victory of the season and to Mitch for a solid second place. Also good ob to two of our newest drivers Dave and Micko for solid drives to some decent points. Sorry about the contact causing your spin on lap 3 Micko... glad it didn't mes up your race. My quali and race:-
