I grabbed what will probably be my last chance to get on track last night. Managed to get down to 1:11.7 with a couple of tenths lost around that tricky penultimate corner so a bit more possible yet. Haven't had the time to get any long runs in though so tyre wear will be a bit of an unknown for me and have not run the blacks at all so far so that will be interesting come the race.

I just got in a few Laps this morning with your setup Daz. It's a helluva lot more stable than mine have ever been, even with the Chevy. I recommend this setup!👍
I haven't broken the 1:11.9 mark yet but I think i'll be able to hit it now. I'm much faster out of the box but i'll be there with Peter not knowing how long the much lower tyre pressures will hold out on me.
At first I was thinking, why U oNly do engine breaking 1!? And omg, those low pad openings over there is insane! But it works.

Glad your finding it better 👍, its a good baseline, just about tinkering it for your individual style, weather conditions and track to track, gear ratios, tyre pressures, eng braking, brake bias, downforce levels, ride heights ect, I’m just going to try and evolve this setup through the rest of the season, although may get somewhere like the glen or RA and need to start from scratch, indy rc is pretty similar to Long Beach tbf with its stop start nature

Another challenging event and another great race, so congratulations to Tyler for his 1st win of this season. I decided fairly late in the build up to the race to run Daz’s set up and found some performance that was lacking, after some adjustments to the ratios I was happy with the setup and qualified in P6 albeit with a grid penalty for a Pitlane speeding infringement. Got a great start helped by the draft of the cars in front and a P2P I went into T1 in 5th close to Pete who was struggling for pace on the Prime tyre, settling into the race I kept Pete under pressure as I was on the quicker Reds, Pete spun going into S3 and as I was close I couldn’t avoid a heavy collision which resulted in a lengthy pit stop to repair the damage, I decided to run the Blacks as I knew they’d be a struggle and I wanted to get them out of the way quickly so I emerged from the pits 3 laps off the lead lap and put in some consistent but uncompetitive laptimes, ran the blacks for 20 laps but found that I hadn’t adjusted the Rad blanking and my engine damage was increasing every lap, stopped again on lap 35 for another long Pitstop to repair the engine and came out just behind Karl and Greg on the road, I found that I had the pace to stay with the leaders although I was 5 laps behind and I was running fresher tyres so in another day things may have been different for the #9 Target car. So, I finished in P6 but fairly happy with my overall performance. I’d just like to add that I feel that our little league is growing and the level of skill and professionalism shown is excellent and I’m sure we can continue to improve and have more great racing

First off all congratulations Tyler on your first win of the season.
My race was horrible, no other way to describe it really haha. Basically with my controller issues, once I'd decided to put it back in to charge it so it wouldn't keep turning off through the race as I get my game audio through my headphones as well, once I plugged the charger in I had nothing at all. So I was busy turning it off and on to get it to work and without thinking just hit ready and then quickly realised I was still on my quali setup. So I had enough fuel to do the formation lap and the opening lap, could of done one more, but didn't seem any point to it, so I pitted to fill the tank, I knew my radiator was going to be an issue, and the brakes as I had them a lot more closed off for quali. So I was in lean mix, short shifting and lifting and coasting, but very quickly it became clear that there was no way I was getting full fuel stints before my engine would hit 100 damage. So was just a case of running around to collect the points for 7th, and had a fun quali sort of run using P2P for the fastest lap points. Hope I didn't impact anyone's race I tried to keep out of the way of any battles or people who were still in a race for positions and only overtook when it was safe to do so. Did have a little dive bomb on Dave at the end of the back straight after he said he was racing on his own, and me and Karl had a fun switch back battle through the end of S2, they were my highlights off a long painful race for me.
On another note I'm glad people have found my setup helpful, any questions on anything I'm happy to help where I can. I didn't change much from LB to this race, I ran 5-10downforce and I raised the tyre pressures to 1.01 fronts and 0.97 rear left 0.90 rear right, as that helped with the tyres overheating. Also if I hadn't been an idiot I would of had the brakes more open for the race then at Long beach as they seemed to get more punishment around here, would of had them set to 40% for the race. Gear ratios I changed as well but that was it.
Looking forward to Indy in a couple of weeks.
P.S I have sorted my headset issues, turns out a simple hard reset of the Xbox solved the issue, the only thing I didn't think to do before the race haha

Q:7 R: 5 (tbd) After reading about LB setup was good here the only thing I changed was tyre pressures. They were a bit hot still but good enough. Had a great start overtaking 3-4 cars into turn 1. Had slight tap from the left, no damage and kept going. Was couple laps when I realised why I had such a good start. My fuel was only 30 litres. Knew it would be lots of pit stops but decided to race it anyways. Realised I have a few buttons to remap as I was only getting reds during pitstops. So my final finishing place may not stand. Had a great time and very clean racing. Will miss Indy 500 have grandsons birthday party. Congratulations to Tyler for the win and all podium finishers.

I had a lot of fun dispite having come down with a nasty cold the day before. I feel the pressure alright, sinus pressure 🤧
It was nice to win for sure, but I think we all know who the real winner should have been 😂🤫. I owe it all to Darren for his setup and screw up in order to take home that chequered flag🏁.
What I tweaked in the setup was the tyre pressures and the gearing and I think that's about it. Onto the next!

Q 5 R 3 Podium Party!!
I've always liked IndyGP but yesterday was great. One of my best days on track with zero self induced incidents. Of course I need to thank Daz for opening up a 3rd podium spot for the rest of us. That's a tough way to lose a race, but kudos on completing it. I would have called it a day after pit stop number 7 or 8, 😄!
The start was ok and after everything settled down after a few laps I was about 8 seconds behind Karl, with IdleRanger keeping between 1 and 2 seconds behind. Karl had a bit of an off and I got within 2 seconds, and the 3 of us ran together until lap 19 when Karl stopped. I ran to the end of lap 22 and came in.
2nd stint was when Ranger dropped out. A real shame as you were a great addition to the league. Hopefully you can sort out the party chat issues. I was in front of Karl by about 8 seconds after our pit stops. Maybe you needed some repair? Then coming up on Dave who had a mini half spin in the final hairpin. Unfortunately I was right behind and took very minor wing and suspension damage. It was enough to keep going but I was a bit slower than previous laps. Karl caught up to within a second, but because he was worried about fuel saving I decided to switch strategies and repaired damage on stop 2.
Stint 3 started 32 seconds behind a fuel saving Karl. A uneventful hammering away at 22 laps brought me to within 2 seconds.
Stint 4 was my short 19 laps on black. I just couldn't handle the rears and my pace was about 2 seconds a lap slower. Karl just drove away. I just kept focused and my only goal was staying clean. Peter was almost a lap down so I knew I just needed to stay on track. Wish I had run the blacks earlier. Oh well. Extremely happy with 3rd.

Wish i had an engineer to do the maths for me in that race. I wound up worried about fuel and spent the whole 3rd stint trying to save a lap of fuel. It cost me over a second a lap to try and save it, but i did manage to go 23 laps in that stint instead of the normal 22 i was getting. But then after my stop i realized there was only 21 laps to go, not 22. I didn't need to save it in the end. That mistake meant i was too far behind Tyler to make a challenge for the win. I think if i hadn't bothered with the fuel saving we would have been very close for the last stint of the race. Oh well, happy with P2 in the end.
The wheel shake on the Reds in the first stint was dreadful. I did manage to hold out 19 laps then switched to the Blacks for the rest of the race, but even when i was pushing those tyres i was getting the wheel shake.
