Q-7 R-7 I had an alright start and passed railer on the outside into turn 1 for 6th I stayed in 6th for about 4 laps until I spun coming out of turn 4 but managed to somehow not hit the wall. Then on about lap 11 I clipped the wall and got 6 damage on my front wing, that reduced my straight line speed to about 210mph and my cornering speed to 199mph after that I had to pit because of the damage. Then while I was in the pits my wheel stopped working and it added about 2 minutes onto my pit stop, soon I nearly had a big crash with railer because of my suspension damage from an earlier hit into the wall in turn 2, on my screen he hit into the back of me and got huge damage. I retired on lap 35 because of the wheel disconnecting in turn 4 and I felt to tired to continue. I hope I can make the next race and try to get a top 5 position.

Q 2 R 4
Quali went pretty well. I had a solid 39.172 and was in 4th and pretty happy with that time. Then in the last 3 laps I hooked up with Dave and went less than a tenth quicker but that was enough to jump Dave and Daz.
The start went exactly like last week. Peter and Daz took off and I lost the spot to dave. Then Karl passed and I just kept behind he and Dave in the tow. I have a great areo and suspension setup, I'm able to follow someone thru turns with ease. I know my pace is lacking because of my gearing.
When Karl had his lag somewhere around lap 15 I think, I drove straight thru his ghosted car. I somehow took 3% aero damage and it really killed my pace. For a few laps I considered staying out but then pit which put me off sequence. I ran that way until lap 192. I was on the lead lap for the 10 or so laps after daz pit, before my next one came up.
Then because of my short first stint I pit with 8 remaining. Plenty of space back to Peter in 3rd for stop. But on my way out I lost it in the pit exit inside turn 2. EXTREMELY bummed about that. Please excuse my language at the time.

I know exactly how you feel Greg, I was looking forward to the race with Daz as I exited my pit stop and did what sounds like the same thing and that removed me from the race for the win there and then. No way back and just a case of getting my head down and putting in the fastest laps I could lap after lap. Pretty happy overall though as I could catch and pass anyone all race and picked up the extra points for pole and fastest lap so all in all can't complain. Definitely number one on my card though is practicing those pit stops on ovals, that was my only downfall here!

So qualified third, wasn't paying attention and didn't realise we weren't doing practice so didn't actually do a full on quali lap, ah well made up for it in the race. Got a good start up to 2nd before T1 and then into first at T3 if I'm remembering the right race start haha. Just like in the previous two starts enjoyed a good battle with Pete, but couldn't hold him off. Then my highlight of the race was when Pete got caught up with a backmarker on the exit of T2 and I had a mega run, and threaded the needle between the two, but again Pete was able to easily catch me back up and overtake me. Was able to hang on just about and at the first pit stop knowing I wasn't going to be able to really stay with Pete I attacked the pit entry as much as I dared and managed to overtake Pete before the pit entry line, and really attacked the exit and then heard that Pete had unfortunately spun on the exit and got damage and that was it really for me in the race, was just about turning laps and staying out of trouble, my race pace was consistent across a stint just not as fast as I was expecting, starting around 40.8's and then by the end being in the low 40's but couldn't get into the 39's like all of the finishers actually did apart from me. Need to do some post race testing to work out why because its bugging me as I was able to do consistent 39's in testing, and in the qualifying session that I thought was practice I was doing 39.6's consistent with my race setup, so just need to understand why that happened and fix for next season. Congrats to Pete for pole and fastest lap, without your incident I don't think I could of kept with you over the distance, and congrats to all who battled on to the end of a long grueling race. Feel for you Dave, horrible way to end a race out of your control. If Watkins is running as scheduled in the calendar I don't think I will be able to race, as that is the Champions League final so I'll be cheering on Liverpool in a pub somewhere probably, but I'll be back for Texas MSW.

Q 5 R 5
I didn't push too hard at the start was dealing with pressure from other cars in the corners and losing downforce. Was behind rex for several laps. Tapped outside wall between turn 3 and 4. Had lot of toe in. Tried to stay out and did for too long. Got past rex after his wreck. Was running good eventually, came out of turn 2 saw a slow car, called and said stay left, looked like he was going right, so I started going left and literally at the last second he went left and I went right. Scared the daylights out of me. Touched outside wall but no damage. Rex I don't remember running into you, I'm sorry if I did. Wall between 3 and 4 was my nemisis. Hit it at least 3 times causing lengthy pit stops. Just after halfway point, I was finally drafting and noticed they would be quicker thru the corners. So started downshifting for the corners after I heard a call asking about engine damage. Wow I had no idea 6th was for passing. After that had great draft with hurt mcgurt. Ran as high as 3rd at one point, that was nice. Hated to see people lose connections. Still learning this race series and car abilities. Had fun but man was a long race.

I had my gearing set to use 6th partway down the straights and going back to 5th just before turn-in for the corners. Proved much the faster way for me. With so few cars on track I found there was no need to run a sixth just for drafting and passing.

Q-6 R-3
Had a poor setup for quali and was trying to make some changes to be faster but forgot to set my pit limiter at the start of my second run and got DSQ'd.
Had a pretty good start for the race and was making up some spots as others were battling for positions. Was running in P3 and slowly catching up to Daz and Peter when on lap 14 in T3 my game froze for 2 or 3 seconds. Dave was running right behind me and got away unscathed, but sounds like Greg had some damage from running through my ghosted car. Sorry about that. That's something that has never happened to me with this game before. not sure if it's a result of the game, the internet connection, the ping, or the old xbox..... Anyway, when the game unfroze i was in the infield wall between T3 and T4 and had some damage to the front wing and suspension. Pitted to repair and then spent the rest of the race trying to make positions back. Kept my running mostly clean from then. Had another small incident with the outside wall on the T3 exit and had a little damage from it but it didn't take too long to fix. Kept swapping positions with Peter as we were on different pit stop windows but after the last stop i lost that leapfrogging effect and he remained ahead. Gained P3 when Greg had his incident in the final stint. Hard luck Greg. You had a very solid race until that point.

So. having watched some of the 500 from the weekend I see that we were mistaken in taking the pit entry along the back straight. They all took it coming out of turn 4 in the real thing. Sorry Daz, race result overturned we'll have to re-run it with the correct pit entry rules
