Just finished a longer session and during race went into pits to fuel up and change tyres......fuelled up ok but pit didn’t change tyres, went round again then went in pit, no change of tyres, during next lap I amended the strategy flicking from reds to blacks and back again, went in pits and tyres were changed. Any ideals how to stop this happening. 🤔 I always pre-set my pit strategies to match my race tyre pressures and whatever compounds i'll need. I have about 3 different presets I use each race (reds, blacks, and a splash and go). I select the next strategy that i'll need before I exit the pits so that way I don't have to fiddle around with the settings during the racing.

You need to have two strategies saved, one to go to the Prime tyre and one for the Alternates otherwise you'll have to make that change on the fly which is not recommended.

I'm probably not going to do the practice session and will just do quali. These events are long enough without that for me. My Xbox is already on so just chuck the invite and i'll accept it as soon as I see it...

I’d also recommend an aero and suspension damage strategy and engine and brakes, making sure your tyre pressures are right on all as well I always fix aero and suspension damage at the stops but never bother to fix the engine. It has zero impact on performance until the engine blows at 100% and it takes the longest of all the components to repair so it's a no brainer to leave it unless you are running a setup that will take the damage to 100% before the end of the race.

Well done tonight everyone, such a challenging track that even with limited racing against other drivers it's a fun couple of hours on track.
It was a fun first stint with Daz fading off in the distance and me in second place with Micko and Tyler having an epic battle a few seconds behind. I thought it would be tight at the pit stops and came in at the end of lap 11... one lap earlier than scheduled as I had a higher fuel usage in that first stint. I expected it to be close on the following lap when Tyler pitted so was surprised to find the gap had tripled when he got going again. Micko pitted a lap later (amazing fuel mileage...) but again the gap was much larger then I expected si the pressure was pretty much off from that point on. Daz's incident handed new the lead for a while but with just a gap of 25 seconds I knew that would quickly get eaten away so just concentrated on my own race and ensuring there were no mistakes. That was the only way I was going to lose second place once Tyler had a mid race incident putting him almost a lap down.
My only real concern was the prime tyre stint so I left that until the penultimate stint and ran them for just 6 or 7 laps before closing out on the grippier alternates for the final 10 laps.
Well done Daz on another victory and clean sweep of win, pole and fastest lap. None of us could touch those times and I'm just happy to have reached the flag on the lead lap and with another podium to edge a little further ahead of Tyler in the race for second place.

The race had it's moments despite being what it was. I actually unlapped myself until my next pitstop by overtaking Darren when he was in fuel saving mode. micko kept me behind for about the first 12 laps which was a lot of fun, and he did it long enough to secure the last spot on the podium at the end of the race too. Great driving!
I couldn't get around you in the straights, even with the help of the draft because of a last minute 6th gear change before the race started. I was maxed out at 182MPH, and by the end of the race I could barely get it up to 170MPH because I was down on power. I'm sure that didn't help my fuel situation either.
Me and Dave may have had a little bump after my first stop and during the lag spikes which damaged my suspension badly when I hit the wall at the Canada Corner. It was hard to tell what happened, I apologize if I did spin you off Dave. I only concentrated on hitting my marks after that and learned the track a little better to finish a decent 4th.
Great race and congratulations as always to our podium finishers. Peter is really upping his game in both IndyCar and the Vintage F1 lately too, watch out guys😉

Peter is really upping his game in both IndyCar and the Vintage F1 lately too, watch out guys😉 Yeah with Daz now 102 points ahead and 105 points still on the table over the last 3 races i'm not giving up on the championship.. just need to clean sweep all three races, pole positions and fastest laps and hope he only picks up two more points and then it's in the bag 😂 Seriously though i've had a good run over the races recently, mainly down to getting in some decent practice for the Indycar and Vintage F1 series which is partly due to my not participating in the F1 races since the new game came out as it's freed up a bit of time to get on track more often in pCars.
