The first one will definitely be modern, I just think the vintage would be a good one to look at later on if we get enough interest in this sort of series.

Dale Rossi/Sean G I'm in. Is this modern multiclass LMP and GTE or is it vintage? If vintage, which class/years and is it vintage track or modern LeMans? For instance, Vintage LeMans would have Vintage Prototypes A, B, and Group C. Modern LeMans would have LMP 1, 2, and GTE. This is modern LeMans and multiclass really depends on uptake. We need a decent number on the grid to make that viable. If you know if any others that would be interested send them this way. Actually I would welcome a vintage race as well so maybe that's something we could look at as well. Good shout Dale 👍 We’re planning to run the Group C cars and period GT cars for this particular event, like Pete says hopefully we’ll get enough interest to run both classes 👍🏻

To be clear then, this isnt on Vintage track, but modern track with vintage cars..Group C and GT, but no LeMandms vintage Prototypes. You can see my confusion lol Just want to make sure I'm not working setups for the wrong stuff.ha Edit: Group C is 1980s, so assuming 1980s GT, which are some of the GT0 like F40 LM.

As far as I was concerned it is a fully modern event with no vintage cars or track.
Can you clarify what you meant Dave as your post yesterday does look like it's not modern cars?

So to clarify, we will run the event on the modern Le Satthe circuit but in Group C cars ie Porsche 962/Jag XJR with GT cars from the same era, we will run a full WEC Sportscar season in the near future after the completion of this race and another endurance type event I’ve got planned 🙂 does that clear it up?

GT cars of the same era is what is confusing.. GTO is that class. Here are all the cars: www.projectcarsgame.com/the-cars/I understand we may need more interest to run anything but Group C, so that is the only one in stone. ? Since it is new LeMans, the 240+mph cars won't have the same advantages as LeMans with the old Mulsanne straight. WEC season will be really cool. Hope we can get enough interest to run LMP and GTE there as it is a relatively short season. Too bad you can't do driver swaps in this game.

Drove a couple Group C last night. Going to be a bitch doing 3 hours with an H shifter and clutch. May use the paddles if that is what everyone else is doing.

We're on 9 at the moment which is a decent start although the date it's run may have some impact on that.
In order to run multiclass what is the number we think would be viable? Ideally it would be an equal number split between the two classes.

I'm fine with whatever, but maybe have people post up what they would really want to drive and see if there is a good balance there. 4 prototypes and 5 GT could be kind of cool. I just wouldn't want to be the one in a Prototype that loses to a GT.lol

Quickshifter as an H...do you mean a dog box (H shifter minus clutch) or a sequential stick? If anyone has any info on wheel sizes these older GT and Group C cars used, please post that up. That stuff is surprisingly hard to find.

Are you referring to steering wheel or actual wheel size Dale? Diameter of the steering wheel. For instance, modern F1 and open wheel cars are usually 270. Modern GT cars anywhere from 300 to 330 or maybe more. I have 3 rims and as nice as options are, it's just one more thing to have to mess with.lol

I'll have to have a look at these cars and see where my preference lies. If the C9 is anything like Assetto I am steering well away from that!!
