Here's my last 2 minutes of the race until me and Stu collided briefly. Disappointing result but was very fun while it lasted. Ya can't finish 'em all so i'm not upset and definitely want to do this one again:

Huge congratulations to everyone for taking part tonight. Fantastic to see such a healthy grid and some good competition up and down the field. Hopefully the start of some exciting racing here over the coming months.
Well done Sean for the win and Stu and Neale for the podium positions but also a real hard earned pat on the back for everyone that managed to make the flag and also those that didn't for varying reasons. Shame to hear about the technical problems some had but I guess that's racing. Hopefully these things will not happen at the next one.
Thanks to Dave for his efforts in helping organise and getting the numbers to make this a viable event. The Facebook group certainly does seem to be the way forward and has given us a route to a new audience which bodes well for the future.

I know this took a lot of time to put together and I really appreciate it!
Q 1 R 1
I had the dumbest formation Hotlap ever, only second to totally my car at Singapore. So I started the race with a jacked up front and the springs were shot almost immediately. Tried to hang on and before the 3rd lap, decided to take my medicine and pit.
Rejoined and grinded for a stint and got back to 2nd. Stormtrooper was ahead 1:40 and it took another stint to get that. Then we were together for quite a whole and both of us hit a wrecked car we couldn't see in S3, and we both pitted.
Kept grinding and was finally pulling a lead and somehow activated "switch driver" when I was fumbling though my pit settings.lol So I sat there watching sn excruciating lap with the AI taking every turn way too slow, over revving the car etc. Had the car pit again to regain the drivers seat.
By then, Neale was within reach and I was able to hang on to the finish with just a quick refuel to finish. 6 pit stops total and a pit penalty, but I was lucky to avoid a couple huge wrecks and did have one off track excursion when I lost focus.
Basically everyone that didn't wreck out finished on the lead lap, or very close to it. Great race and a lot of fun. Would be cool to run these cars again at Old Le Mans where they originally ran. It would be a lot more balanced so the Jags, Porsches and even a Nissan can really get loose at 230+ mph.
New Le Mans is more of a grip track. I lost a second maybe in S1 and S2, but I made up as many as 5 seconds in S3.
Thanks again for putting this together!

Technical and mechanical stuff breaking..been tuning for a week to hopefully cure it. With these older cars, you have to pick and choose when to open it up. They're not as fragile as the 60s and 70s cars, but they are fragile. Wouldnt mind a multiclass race with age specific GTO. That could be pretty cool. I love the GT class and would run that any time. Modern LMP and GTE would make an incredible race and those cars would be easier to learn for people just starting with sims/PCars.

Q 8 R 6
Gents, What an amazing evening of racing, great to see so many people come and race this iconic event, thanks to friends old and new for making this such a success.
Made a fairly decent start and quickly settled into a good rhythm and after a few laps found myself in P3 and closing in on Tyler in P2, that was until my screen froze coming out of Mulsanne corner resulting in some hefty damage, made my way back to the pits dropping down the field, fixed the damage, changed the tyres and went back out only to bin it in the Porsche Curves and sustaining a huge amount of damage, came back out around P9 as the sun was setting and got back to decent pace and picked off a few drivers with technical issues and with a few good overtakes into the Forza Chicane, drove well through the night and into the morning with consistent laps and had some great racing with Greg, Neale and Sean even though we were on different laps. As the time ticked down my lap times suffered but finished the race strongly and I was pleased with my performance.
I’m very grateful to everyone who took part and huge congratulations to Sean for the win and to Stu and Neale for the podium finish. I’m hoping that we can continue growing this league with the exciting races we have planned 😉.
Cheers
Dave

I put together a short vid, I found a few incidents and had some fun editing this one. It's not to be taken too seriously as I was having some good fun with it, please enjoy😉

Looking at that is a LOT different to what I saw from the cockpit. I've moved house since the last time we raced and my internet isn't as good as I'd like, which is giving some strange lag related issues. I even commented at one point that the car seemed to be occupying a larger space than it's physical size. I can only apologise to anyone that I tangled with as I don't race like that as you all know. The incident with Tyler, I was pretty much on the kerb on the inside from my cockpit and you can even see in the video that the incoming angle of the car is wrong compared to where I was. I knew he was left of me so therefore I kept as far right as I could. Anyway, hoping it won't cause any problems next time.

Ha! That's pretty damn good, Tyler.
I was wondering how that turn 1 car got stuck there. lol
I nearly hit another car mid way through the race there. He went off track there and pulled back out in front of traffic at about 5 mph. By far the most stupid thing I've seen all season.
That was the only "black flag" thing I saw all day, most people seemed to race hard but with 101 track safety.
Stormtrooper and I got tangled up with a car in the late esses that had just wrecked, but I guess that happens.
Dave, strong race and finish. You picked up a shytload of pace from just a couple days before that, and put that down for 2 and a half hours. Everyone that finished, period, did really well. We've had races that don't get past turn 1.lol

We've had plenty of incidents that look totally different from each drivers perspective. One of the reasons it's always good to have your race streamed as you can always go back to that and show what you saw. But we're a decent bunch here and there's never been any kind of call out or reporting of incidents to have to deal with. Ask good fun 👍👌

I knew it wouldn't be long before you got in front of me anyway as your pace was much faster. I could tell you were pretty laggy, plus it was our first race in those cars and about a year since we've raced together. The in game capture of you as you saw made it look like you were skating around lol Like I said, the video wasn't to be taken seriously as I thought it was hilarious the way things happened and edited it accordingly.

Forgot to mention the fact that my crash was the craziest awesome most realistic looking one i've seen in the game yet. The real life footage went almost too perfect with mine.

Guys that stream, does it not eat up your bandwidth? I guess obviously not too much, but I race over wifi as it is.
