Mate, talk about bottling it 😭
Q: 1
Went out to put a banker in and come back, ended up being good enough for pole, somehow, so that's something. Went to do another run as the first was scrappy but spun it into the inside wall at the second chicane.
R: 4
Man, that was tough... Was never sure if I had the pace to actually win or not and the spin on the formation lap spooked the crap outta me so could never really push early on. Had a good battle with Max, for the majority of the first stint until the pit stops, had a job getting past Karl, afterwards, but a couple laps later pulled ahead. Then my biggest mistake was the strategy call. Decided to go long on the mediums, but they dropped with 20 laps to go so knew it was gonna be tight, but then Karl pitted a lap later so knew no matter what we'd be in the same boat, but I lost all pace so he just drove off into the distance. Karl got past Max and then I got up to him with Boothy on a mission behind me, but misjudged Max's corner speed at the hotel exit and clapped the back of him which spun me around into the barrier taking half my front wing, no one's fault but my own. After trying to un-Austin Powers myself, went into the pits and came out about 20 seconds behind Will and Neal having a scrap, and damn, hard fuckers to get past 😂 Doesn't help when you got a McLaren screaming past the breaking point putting you offline and ending up on the grass, so finished the race scrapping with those two and finished 4th with fastest lap, so that's something 😂
Would have got the constructors if Alec actually showed up, so Wolff is gonna be mad about that 🤔
But well done to the podium guys, and Peter and Karl on the constructors. My first winless season since 2012, but with the switch to the wheel I'll take top 5 drivers and second in the constructors.
So thanks for another season guys, it's always fun, hopefully everyone makes it back next year, cause this is the closest grid we've had that I can remember for a long time.

Q4 - DRS was stuck open the whole session so only got 1 lap in R2 Apologies List - Ferrari coming out the pitlane ( Literally was turning right as hard as i could but tyres were dying on their arse, Very impressed you stayed out the barrier tbh. You did get your revenge under DRS though tbf i was right up your arse went to go left to pull out from behind you moved over aswell that wasn't great half way down the straight having to slam the brakes but it's all good.
- Will - DRS right behind me i went left probably too late tbh you went right not sure if broke your wing on me or something else happened with Marcin when he came into that area 0o If me apologies
In general disappointed with my race should of got pole was 0.8 up on my lap going into S3. Struggled badly in the 1st stint being on the slower tyres had a spin and after that they just wouldn't come back so had to pit a lot earlier then intended the rest of the race was mainly just trying to make up lost time. Surprised i came 2nd in all honesty probably would of been worse if Marcin/Mitch didn't come together. It also didn't help ran 1st 2 stints in lean mode and not realising it. Happy with 2nd managed to jump Mitch for 4th in the drivers, nearly overhauled team force india aswell but wasn't to be. It's been a big improvement 2nd half of the season mainly when ive not been in the party i think probably too easily distracted

Well that was entertaining! Non stop action from start to finish. Really enjoyable, if i wasn't defending.... i was overtaking!
Mitch sorry if there was contact but from my end, it looked like you braked early which totally caught me out, i was slip streaming you with my drs open & all of a sudden im heading straight into the back of you. I slammed on the anchors & went left to avoid a big smash & somehow avoided you & made it stick. Boothy no problem with the late move but i was along side you going into the chicane & you didn't give me any room, i ended up facing the wrong way with half a front wing. No big deal though, that was the most fun race iv'e had in a while.
Well done Karl on the win & the rest of the podium guys, hopefully there will be more races like that to come!

Q2 Happy with qualifying but wanted to start on M but bugged that lap up that’s that so went for another go in S to get second.
Apologies accepted Matt but have to say called you all the names under the sun when it happened out loud so good you weren’t in party. Don’t think a had you back and I’m not like that, that’s racing as you said but was impressed with your pace but did decide last night I wasn’t going to let anyone pass if I had no damage or any issues that were slowing me. Best action race I have had all season, and was racing to keep my position think I may try and fight and keep my position from now on as I let people past me to much,so watch out boys I won’t be letting people pass you will have to fight me for it 😝😝😝😃 as I have had to but all within the game rules😀 I don’t do dirty, Great battle and race with Will some great driving with some great action with Will, Max . Think I may of had a chance to keep with Max late in race but back marker in the way let Max though then closed the door and I a had to go round lost so much time think just gave up from there didn’t want to bin it red bull but didn’t think Dave was racing 😜😃😂 Well done Karl for drivers championship Well done Both for constructors champ Am well happy with second I think with drivers championship but will wait for confirmation on points standing for drivers. Thanks for a great season guys Have a great Xmas and a happy New year F1 league boys.

What a race! Q=3 R=3 Qually better than expected beat my record at first run, later on, I was up about 0,5 but couldn't nail it. The race. Will said it all . What an enjoyment all the way. I managed to stay close, then after few laps I was leading the race, hahaha! Tried to put a little gap between me and Mitch unfortunately lost the rear at lap 12. Putted it all back together and went for attack mode again. Everything was looking good and for some time I thought I could come back but my strategy of 2 stopper was too optimistic. Karl get me quick and passed by like a rocket, Boothy too I bet Mitch was on the same course but he was too greedy and clipped the barrier. I switched to 3 stop trying to save what's left. And I made it to the podium, crying like Lando to the radio Grande finale what an superb racing, one of my buddies said it was more action than real race, he watched it live on mixer such a shame the season is over. Congratulations to all finishers specially to Karl, he is like a good wine, older the better. I hope for more racing soon, maybe classic F1 or Assetto Corsa, see you online Cheers Lads... Pretty disappointed with my showing last night, quit after having a gutsful of pitting for new front wings and being bored. Qualy was terrible with me crashing exiting the hairpin and hitting the barrier in 3rd gear, for some reason giving me terminal damage so had to retire.
I was cautious at the start and the whole of the first lap, but from then on just couldn't find much pace for most of the time I was on-track. Had two incidents with Micko, where I rear-ended him twice into braking zones, but whether it was lag or what I don't know; he seemed to come to a complete stop on the apexes and then move forward. The first incident was at the little chicane before the hairpin in the first sector and the second was the braking into the slow right-hander at the hotel, after the two fast right-handers.
Certainly the second incident he was quite a bit ahead when I stared braking so I wasn't expecting to get close to him, but ended up hitting him right on the apex of the corner, pretty strange. What sealed a frustrating evening was me hitting the barrier at the chicance between the two back straights and losing my wing. I'd had enough at that point and wasn't pitting again for a fourth wing, and with the next driver Greg over a minute ahead I called it a night. Pretty disappointing after the high of Brazil but there you go.
Congrats to Karl on the Championship and you all for enduring the season. I was thinking about arranging some 50% races with the classic cars on good circuits over the break / off-season if anyone is interested?

Q:7 R:DNF
Not my best time ever but right about where I thought I'd be in Quali.
The race started fine and after about 3 laps I found myself having a very lonely run. Good pace ahead of the back of the pack but unable to keep up with the front. Did my first stint with no issues and pit for mediums on lap 14. Had good pace on those as well. The only racing I did was holding up Peter for a lap or so after he fixed his pedal issue. Finally he unlapped himself around me and I got to use my 1 and only DRS of the race! By now he had much better pace and I watched him drive off. On lap 36 I was scheduled to come in and put on softs for the final run. My engineer told me to push on my in lap... so I did and pushed right off track on the outside of turn 3. Bounced over the curbs where the shorter track layout cuts off and totally lost control. Spun into the inside wall ripping off my front end. Thats all she wrote.
It was a good season overall. Thanks to all.

Q 9 R DNF again
Still trying to get to grips with the game again, mostly down to me but happy to let’s you guys race past me if that means I’m still in the running..
Just so everyone knows, I DONT brake check anyone , if I’m slow in a corner then you will just have to wait to pass me on a straight or safe corner , I don’t race to hold anyone up and if you are behind me then it’s your problem to be careful as well, I don’t have eyes up my arse.. anyway rant over..
Thanks to everyone for their patience with me, well done Karl on your Win and everyone that attended. I crashed our unfortunately but that’s just me being out under pressure , onwards and upwards as they say. Unless the F1 game improves next year I Won’t be buying it for the same issues and content.. we shall see.. Maybe just stick with PCars for now..
Cheers guys

Q - 5 R - 1 I had thought late on Saturday to test the Mediums for their pace in the opening stint. Turns out their pace was great and the tyres were not too slippery, so i decided to go that route from the start. Pretty much hit my PB at 1:37.2 which saw me start 5th. The race start was ok, I don't think anyone had too much trouble with T1 which i was worried about. I didn't push too hard at the start thinking i might be slightly down on the initial pace, but after a few laps i found myself kind of stuck behind Booth and Neale who were battling for 3rd. On lap 4 or 5 I ended up misjudging the braking at the end of the second straight and ran into the back of boothy damaging my wing. I tried to stay out and manage the damage but i was losing almost 2 seconds a lap and decided i would have to pit early. I put the red tyres on and tried to make up some time quickly. I rejoined in P8 and made my way through Micko and Mike. Micko squeezed me a bit but we both made it out without any damage so that was good. I caught up to Greg at the end of lap 10 and then had a 15 second gap up to Will. Then the pit stops for everyone else started and I found myself behind Mitch as he came out of the pits on Mediums. I got the better of him right away in the DRS zone, but once his tyres came up to Temperature he was all over me. He got back past me on the next lap and then I just tried to hang onto him for a few laps. I managed to get DRS 2 or 3 laps in a row to stay close but my tyres were falling off quickly and he pulled away. Without Alec on the grid, and with Peter suffering with wheel issues the Constructors title looked like it was just going to come down to a fight between Mitch and myself. As long as he finished 3 points ahead of me he had a change to take the title. I struggled over what to do next as i started to lose touch with the back of his car. I needed to stop again, but which tyre to put on? I had a fresh set of Red and Mediums and decided from his pace that i should try to put the mediums on and see if i could go to the end without an extra stop. That would mean 32 laps on them till the end. I rejoined in P5 behind Will again. I got past him in the DRS zone after a lap or two then found myself behind Neale who put up a really good fight for a few laps. We had a little bit of contact but nothing drastic, and nothing that pushed either of us off track. Eventually i think he just let me go in the DRS zone instead of killing his tyres fighting me off. From there is was 12 seconds up the road to Marcin and then maybe another 5 or 6 up to Mitch. Then i noticed boothy was hot on my tail. Marcin stopped for tyres so i past him in the pits and then Mitch was only 10 seconds up the road. With 22 laps to go I thought if i could get close enough to Mitch I would be able to get new tyres and just try to pass him near the end to keep the points total in our favour. On lap 36 I was close enough to Mitch for DRS and Boothy was close enough to me for DRS but Mitch had enough speed to keep us both behind him through the two DRS zones. Then Mitch dove for the pits. I stayed out and Boothy had a slide out of the final corner giving me a little breathing room again. Knowing the undercut can work here i tried to just get a solid lap in before stopping for fresh reds on the next lap. If I could have a good in and out lap maybe i could stay close to Mitch when i came out. The thought did cross my mind to stay on the mediums to try and make it to the end, but when i looked at the tyre wear they were at 23% already and that was only 12 laps or so of running so i abandoned that idea. Put the fresh reds on and managed to come out in front of Mitch. Boothy was now in the lead, but my fight was really with Mitch. I rejoined in P3 behind Neale and Marcin. Got past Neale in the DRS zone (think he was on well worn mediums) and chased down Marcin. Then boothy was in the pits (I hadn't thought he was stopping again) so the race with Marcin was going to be for first place i thought. The DRS helped me get past Marcin and i thought i would be home free from there, but boothy put in some stellar lap times and was catching Mitch and Marcin. I could see in the mini map that they all got really close and then Mitch's blue dot stopped. I could only assume there was some hard racing and some contact was made but i didn't know for sure. Boothy passed Marcin then set his sights on me. On lap 47 he was all over me and forced me into a scruffy few corners then got past me in sector 3. He then gapped me quickly and after a couple laps had a significant lead, but then on lap 52 he lost his back end i guess on the exit of T14 and wound up well inside the runoff area on the left and i zoomed past him into P1 again. When he rejoined the track he was at least 5 seconds behind me. And that was it. 3 laps later i took the checkered. What a race! What a season! Congratulations to everyone who stuck it out the year and to those that joined us partway through. We've had some really good close racing this year. So happy to have had Peter as my team mate as well, we finally won one Peter! Special thanks to Dave who put forth the prize incentive this season. We'll have to try to have something like that from the start next season. Video here: mixer.com/niblips2?vod=238270263

Nothing wrong with getting your elbows out when there are run offs. The amount of times i tried to overtake people around the outside into the 2nd chicane cos people defended the inside was alot and kept being run out of track but it's what makes it fun trying to figure a new way around them. Will was an absolute bastard to get past on the straight so managed to get him under the hotel instead. I very much enjoyed last night think very evenly paced throughout cos there was 5 of us in sector 3 about 8 seconds apart at most at one point plus i always enjoy a punchy battle even if it ends badly for me.

Sorry and bummed to miss this one, with the constructors on the line. Had an untimely death of someone close to me the day before. Life happens. It diverted my return holiday travel plans and I was not able to make it. Congrats to all. I'll check the comments/videos and results another day this week.
