I was originally going to wait to release these until after the season ended but then Karl mentioned at Spa that he didn't know who was driving what. I decided to upload this:

I decided to upload this: Lmao XRFLemaarararararararrr lmao That's awesome, Tyler! Tried to figure out an avatar/pic to combine Dale Earnhardt Sr and Valentino Rossi. Only thing I can think of is putting Dale's face on Rossi's Laguna Seca helmet. It had Rossi'a screaming head on top of it to show his real face when going through the corkscrew on a GP bike.lol

One thing that's maybe obvious, but on Mulsanne in the draft, the braking zone is really extended. These cars pickup almost 10mph in a big draft. Combine that with air floating the car around and heavy fuel, it can really push out the braking zone.
Something to watch for, particularly on the first few laps. The AI takes an extremely aggressive brake/corner entry in a lot of areas on this track, I think. The Group C cars stopped faster, especially considering how much more speed they have.

There are some fast times set for Le Mans and set by really consistent drivers. And I fully expect Neale and Stu to take off like raped apes from the pits.
This race is wide open for the podium spots, maybe the most wide open yet! Should be a great race and the 24 hour transition is always a blast.

Thanks Greg and Pete, we'll need to completely refill those fuel tanks cone pitstop time then⛽
Anyone run hard compounds yet and what are your findings?

No I've never used the hard tyre because the races are always fuel limited rather than tyre.
As for fuel it's going to need more than 2 stops I think so it's a decision whether to run a full tanks on two stints and then a quick fill for the other or run light for all three.
I've only run one full stint though and not run in the night yet so i'm only basing it on that.

Hard tires are about 2.5 seconds slower per lap in my tests.
In a pit, 1 lap worth of fuel equals 1 second. So, filling 10 laps worth of fuel = 10 seconds.
It will take somewhere around 2.5 tanks to get to the end of the race.
4 tires take around 17 seconds to swap in the pits.
Hope that helps. If it does, let me know because all it's done for me is give me a headache.lol

But you can absolutely go 2 tanks on Hard tires. Maybe even the full race, but no way I'm going to spend 2 and a half hours testing that theory.lol
Thought about trying it with an AI driver swap, but they drive like idiots and it wouldn't exactly be reliable data.

Fuel is the thing that takes the time in the pits.. unless you've got damage of course. My pit stop cost around a minute and 20 seconds over my normal laps.

Worth noting that the car shuts off and takes time to restart it when adding fuel. That's cost me 5 or 6 seconds before just screwing it up. If just doing tires or damage, the car keeps running.

Just a quick notification. The rule regarding non-qualifiers starting from the pit lane has now been officially added to the rule post.
It would be helpful if everybody read the rules and then highlighted anything that is not clear. Sometimes we miss things and having other input and eyes looking at them can prevent misunderstanding and confusion.

Achtung! Looks like Micko is laying down the law early for Nurburgring GP.
Should be a hard race. Can't imagine anyone will run hards, but man this track eats tires like crazy.
Good news is it looks like it will be Overcast/Heavy Clouds, so it should be slightly cool. Even at that, tires and brakes are still cooking with very little relief.
Sucks CPRacing is out, this track seems to suit the mid engine cars pretty well.
Not my favorite track, but it could be the the toughest race across the grid so far this season!

It's alright for you one series boys, myself, Karl, Tyler and Greg have a long haul flight back from New Zealand after the second round of the Vintage F1 72D Championship late last night. Aston Martin and Ferrari have given us leave of absence from Nurburgring for a few more days yet 😉

Is it still possible for me to sign up for the web 2020 series? I know I already missed a few races. At minimum, you will be able to sign up as a Reserve. If you haven't driven with people here before, you'll need to at least once or twice before an official race. Nobody cares how fast anyone is, just that they understand general rules. The difference between blocking and defending is a big one recently.
