One Lobby with a max 16 drivers
The race will have two (2) sessions as follows

Qualifying 30 mins
Race 1hr 30mins with x5 time multiplier.

All race lobbies will open around 8:45pm for s sharp start at 9PM/21:00 GMT
Please be ready around 8:45pm so we are not delayed getting started.
Race date will be real world dates for the 2017 season.

In game times will be as follows

Qualifying 11:00 TBC
Race 13:00 TBC

WEATHER SLOTS
The race will be run with the weather for the actual race held on 6th May 2017.

As per the rules for this series please make every effort to finish the race. Frustrations at poor performance or incidents is understandable but try to refrain from rage quitting and fight your way to the flag. Anythng can happen over the course of a race and quitting early can see you miss out on some good racing and valuable points

The reason for timed rather than lapped races is down to our attempts to get this series as close to reality as possible. It shouldn't change how we race or alter strategies, etc. too much.

I like the time since it is more realistic. All the races are around 90 minutes anyway, so setting it to 90 Min with the time modifier will be the most realistic way to simulate a 6 hour race.

90 Minutes to simulate 6 Hours comes out to 4X. That isn't selectable, but 5X is.

I ran a 15 min race set to simulate 6 Hours yesterday and the Sun still hadn't gone down, but it was starting to. It should add more realism with the added bonus of not having to change anything in setups/tires like you would in a 24 Hour simulated race.

If anyone wants to see what it is like, set up a 15 Minute race with a 25X modifier, for example. The math would make it 24, but that isn't selectable.

Edit: Peter, we did run Track Limits at Silverstone and even the newest guys had no problems with them. I don't think there was a single penalty, which was pretty incredible, especially for me.lol

Agreed on track limits. I had some at Silverstone (some of it not really fair :-)...) but you get a warning asking you to slowdonw... It worked very well. No Penalties.

And Spa needs to be run with track limits (eau rouge, blanchimont)

Agree. They suck at times, but they're important with this many people and the last thing you want is someone to even be accused of cheating like that.

We ran them at Le Mans and Bathurst also and no problems. Some of the Slow Downs are definitely not fair, but it's still important. It does add more risk vs reward in driving.

Weather for Spa shows Clear early with passing clouds later. Not sure how many weather spots there will be.

I tried the Porsche out last Friday before the event, I loved how it revs up so damn smooth and it feels like your hovering over the track as you drive. I was 2 seconds slower than I am in the Ferrari though, so I stuck with the Ferrari.

I bet with more practice I could have gotten the Porsche up to speed, it really gets up and goes, but I don't have time for it right now.
