Agree. Ironic since so many fought over it as it only has 2 liveries.lol It may be my 2nd favorite car in this class. The Ford GT is up there, too I tried the Porsche out last Friday before the event, I loved how it revs up so damn smooth and it feels like your hovering over the track as you drive. I was 2 seconds slower than I am in the Ferrari though, so I stuck with the Ferrari. I bet with more practice I could have gotten the Porsche up to speed, it really gets up and goes, but I don't have time for it right now. Gears take a lot of work with it and it doesnt have the flattest torque curve. KANE, I think you're in the main signup thread/league, so you should be good

Pafirero /paf Ferrari NR 68 Change for Porsche #92 Is this your final choice? We did say no changes once the season starts but will make a concession this time. I'll assume it is your final choice and make the change to the league sign-up thread unless I hear back to the contrary.

Peter not sure if I’m now on the reserve list or what the protocol is here now as I forgot to get back to you after Silverstone as took me many days to mentally recover.
I’m available for spa but certainly wouldn’t want to jump over others if I down the pecking order now so please let me know where I stand totally wash either way

I know it's tough when things don't go to plan in a race but it's really important for the integrity of the league that everyone makes every effort to see each race through to the end. Glad to see you back 👍

You're a good challenger, driver and have been with us for quite awhile. It would have been disappointing to see you go. We're all friends here and just looking for a good time so it's important to remember to not take it too seriously. If it's any consultation, you're usually much faster than me on the track.

Highly likely I won’t be back in time - can I call upon an alternate to race in my stead?

Highly likely I won’t be back in time - can I call upon an alternate to race in my stead? Thanks for the heads-up Ian. I'll put you down as unavailable and try to fill the spot with a reserve but do check back later in the week and if there have been no takers and you suddenly become available you can still race.

If you have a look at the first page of the series sign-up thread you will see what car everyone has chosen and then you can choose whatever car is still available.

Cheers Peter all done. I don't suppose you know what car i might be in? Or do they pretty much handle the same? Iv'e never played this game before & need to get to grips with everything. All the cars are a little different. The BMW and the Porsche (DLC needed for the Porsche) are the most under represented currently on the grid. Try each in Time Trial to get a quick feel. All cars have preset Stable and Loose setups available. Once you pick a car figure out the pit stop procedure and setting up a pit stop strategy. You'll need to pit once during the race. With your pit strategy make sure: -Your tire pressures match the pressures in your setup. -You set your tire change to "ALL" not Recommended or Automatic. -You have the the correct amount of fuel going in. -You may want to have two at least pit strategies set. One for damage and one for regular stop. You may want to map a few important buttons to your wheel / controller: -Call to Pits. This lets your pit crew know you will be coming in on that lap and they will be ready for you. -Pit speed limiter. You must follow speed limit in pit lane and you have to be at that speed before you enter. -The D-Pad is already setup to do in race changes. Get familiar with that. You can change multiple things here including changing your presaved pit strategies, for example if you have damage and need to assign that vs your regular strategy.

You can change multiple things here including changing your presaved pit strategies, for example if you have damage and need to assign that vs your regular strategy. Without a button box, there is a limited # if buttons that can be mapped. The Call to Pits isnt needed if you dont want it. It is on the first page of the In Car Menu. I have my Motec cycle button mapped instead of Call to Pit so I can cycle readouts on the dash. Will, all of the cars are capable of similar times. The Porsche is arguably the toughest to be consistent with because it is very rail happy. If you like that kind of car, though, it can be very fast. The BMW, Ford GT, C7R, Ferrsri and Aston are all beasts with their own characteristics. So maybe decide if you want mid engine or front engine.

Pit stops, practice them. A lot of us have been DQd and all sorts or crap from speeding in the pits. Lol Live and learn, but definitely put them in for your practice.

Thanks guys i need all the advice i can get. I will be on later for a practice. It will seem overwhelming at first, but you'll get it in no time since you're not new to distance racing. All these races we have done have been a blast.
