24 Hours of LeMans - Saturday,8th February 2020 at 9:00pm (race accelerated by a factor of 10 so 2 hours 24 minutes race duration) In game race date: 17/18th June 2017 - Conditions: Partly cloudy Qualiifying for this race will be separate from the race. You have to provide two qualifying times which will be averaged out to decide the final grid positions. The following briefs you on the qualifying requirements:- Please make sure to post your final qualifying times for each session by Friday, 7th February, no later than 4:00amGMT!! Any times received after this will be excluded. Qualifying 1: Go to the Time Trial mode of the game, run your session(s) and post the screenshot of your fastest time on the Leaderboard. You can run as many sessions as you want but only your final time will be used. Please only post a screenshot of your BEST lap. It's fine to post your progress at any point up to the close of qualifying but I don't want to be going through endless screenshots to find the best lap time. Please also ensure that you type your time in the message in the following format i.e Dave McKenzie/ Jaguar XJR / 3:41.67 Qualifying 2: Gents, Night qualifying should be run on the 14th June 2017 between 11pm and midnight with no more than 15 AI cars and conditions set to clear Qualifying week finishes at 0400 GMT and no times will be accepted after that time. Please also ensure that you type your time in the message in the following format i.e Dave McKenzie/ Jaguar XJR / 3:41.67 When grabbing the screenshot of your time make sure to include enough of the screen to include the conditions at the top of the page. Race: We will run a formation lap at the start to get everyone into the grid slots and start the race at the beginning of the following lap. If there is any more information or details to relay before the race I will update this original post. Any queries then just ask. As with all our events please sign up using your name/username. Night qualifying, assuming other cars are allowed on the grid since there is no way to monitor that.
For the first qualy, it may have to be like we did with Group C since GTE isn't the fastest cars for GT. Maybe a screen shot of your "fastest time of the session" telemetry pulled up. I'll see if I can upload a screenshot later if anyone's confused by it. Not to mention, not everyone will be thrilled about having fo share their setup, which it does by default unless you run a stock tune.

Practice session with no other cars I believe it should be otherwise the draft will make the times screwy and give an unfair advantage. Can't remember how it worked in the Group C event. We'll have to clarify this and I'll amend the op once its done.

Weather was partly cloudy with a little clear here and there. What do you think about 4 slots, Clear Partly Cloudy Partly Cloudy Clear? Could alternate them all the way, but people will have problems with temps with the day/night/day transition as it is. Doesn't matter to me, but people will need time to set their tires etc. Looking forward to it, the last one was a blast!

IN Mick Osborne / micko39 / Ford GT #9 Peter, maybe I'm dumb but don't understand Qually 2 dates ref: Qualifying 2: Night Time in Custom Race mode of the game. Set the date for either the 8th or 9th June (the week of the actual race back in 1988) and set the time of your qualifying run to be from 10pm for a two hour session lasting until midnight. Weather is to be set for two periods 'clear' and 'light cloud'. As with qualifying 1 just post a screenshot of your fastest laptime only but you can post your progress as much as you want in the lead up to qualifying closure.
When ingame date = 17 / 18 June 2017

When ingame date = 17 / 18 June 2017 Ignore the quali part.. all under review and those dates were from our last LeMans, they'll be changed to the correct dates as soon a we've sorted a few things out. Really busy at the moment so missed those dates in my rush to get the signup posted.

They're looking at some other options for Qualifying and will post as soon as they can. They all have pros and cons, but the race should be really good and we will still be able to have night time Qualifying!
