Sorry guys, no way I could carry on for as long as that was going to take to finish, was thinking we would be done and dusted by 10:30ish and I could get some much needed sleep 😵. I didn't really think how much longer it was going to take in the wet, slowest I was going in my bit of practice was mid 1:35's so maybe it just didn't get as wet. Was just way too knackered and have early start and long days for the rest of the week so had to give it up.
Hope everyone else reaches the flag 👍

No worries Peter, that ended up being almost an hour and 20 min 'race' (struggle in the wet is more like it lol).
Congratulations and thanks to everyone on participating in the event, that was kind of like F1 1967 Rouen all over again except not nearly as bad.
I was way off my qualifying pace and couldn't keep the tyres up to temperature, I had to let off the accelerator all over the place especially over any puddles and my brakes were basically nonexistent, it was like driving a completely different car.
We didn't seem to have these issues with any events where it doesn't rain 100% of the race, remember the RedBull Ring race last year where it rained about a third of the time? It wasn't as hard to control the Lotus 49C in the wet there as it was with the 72D at Monaco tonight. My WEC Ferrari went through more water last Saturday much easier than the Brabham tonight as well :/
Great 1-2 finish for Brabham tonight Greg, it holds Lotus back for us a little. Let's try and continue that! Well done Tyler on finishing with us, that wasn't as much fun as it was work and hopefully won't happen too often. It won't for the remainder of the season, that's for sure.

Super happy with 2nd. I was telling my story in the prerace and forgot to switch off my quali setup. So I ended up pitting 3 times. Lap 1 I put on wets and lap 4 I put the fuel in haha. Then I only had to fix damage once. Slow and steady.

Thanks for the great race guys. I'm having a blast racing this car. That's good to see man, there aren't many of us here lol. I think the rest of us can agree that this car is much more fun to drive than the 1970 Lotus 49C that we drove last season (I might have been the only lover of the 49C). If anyone wants to get a head start on Zolder here is the one change, the rest of the circuit is the same:
