Q1 R3
Edit:
I should mention I possibly ruined Nate's Q lap when I spun on the last corner on our 3ed or 4th lap. We had already set fast times, but that was unfortunate. He didn't hit me, but I can't imagine it didn't affect him because he wasn't that far back. Always a double edge sword with Pole. It's nice to get it, but the pole in this format is always at a disadvantage to 2, 3, and 4. It happens, but it sucks when it does.
Started alright with a Q of 1:42.9 and a fastest lap in the race with a 1:46.083. Nate and I took off and separated from the pack by a pretty good margin.
Eventually I got around a 16 sec lead when I spun passing a blue marker, which was entirely my fault. But, still was in a comfortable position.
With 20 min left, the race was going smoothly when I had a blue marker mishap and took a lot of damage. It happens and it wasn't malicious at all. Was able to regroup, get into the pits, and come back out in 5th.
That's when I set the fastest lap and was determined to fight back and ended up getting a podium. That solidified my Championship, as well as Neale and I having our Team Championship. So, really pretty happy with the results.
Huge congrats to Nate on his first win. That's back to back podiums for him as he got a 2nd at COTA last race.
Neale is back after a short layoff and resumed his podium position like clockwork. He's missed 2 races and has been unfortunately knocked out of a couple and it still in 2nd for the Championship. Fn awesome!
Everyone in our group seemed to drive really well and it was a blast. No glitches etc.

Q: P5 R: P9
Not one of my better finishes, however I was still happy with my performance. I didn't have any spins that were caused by me being impatient through corners. The spins I did have were caused by hydroplaning through a couple ponds that formed on the track and in the pit lane.
I had a decent battle with Karl, he was faster and was pulling away until he spun off, bloody hell! Lol After my first pit stop, I saw Chris off the circuit coming up to that chicane near the end of the lap. I went to the right of the track to give him extra room just in case and at no fault to Chris, I unfortunately hit a pond which flung me into the wall causing damage and me needing another pit stop. I then almost took Joeri off when I was trying to figure out where to give him room to let him pass right before the start/finish straight. Luckily he reacted fast enough to avoid me hydroplaning into him. I then proceeded to run into the pit wall entrance, AGAIN, right after Neale reminded me to watch out for it lmao.
My team said that I had an ignition or electrical failure which took a bit of time to repair. It didn't seem that long though I found myself at the back once I exited the pits. That shows how close and consistent everyone actually was, I even led the race for a corner before my first pit stop.
Great win Nate, podium Sean, and welcome back Neale also in top form with a podium👍

Hey Sean, Congratulations on becoming Xbox Racing Forum's 2020 WEC GTE Champion!!!!🥳🏆🥇 A very well earned and unmatched victory for you and Neale with Corvette Racing. Thank you, Tyler! It wasn't exactly level with all you VF1 guys having to balance two series. Even still, you guys were strong all the way through. One more lap and you had Watkins, I'm sure of it. Thanks for hosting today, always fun racing with you guys. Looking forward to seeing how the teams pan out in the end. Unfortunate Greg missed this one, I feel like he would have had a good showing too.

Split 2 Q7 R4
Firstly my congratulations to Sean for becoming our WEC Drivers Champion, you’ve consistently been the class of the field and no one deserves it more, secondly well done to Sean and Neale for securing the Team Championship, you’ve been the Team to beat from Race 1 and you have both set a very high benchmark, well done to you both.
I was disappointed after qualifying with P7 even though I’d set my personal best time but seeing the times of the top drivers left me thinking I had a mountain to climb in the race.
The race started without too many incidents and I began trying to hold on to Will who was driving quickly in P6, I started chipping away at Will who was a handful of seconds up the road and within a few laps I had closed the gap and eventually got into a position to mount an overtake but I misjudged the draft and outbraked myself into T1 and had to start all over again, I closed the 12 second gap again and got past Will in the last sector but span in the last corner collecting Will in the process, we both sustained damage and I decided to pit earlier than planned but I overshot my pit box costing me a few more seconds, I came out behind Will again and restarted our battle for the 3rd time and I found a way past Will a few laps later. I started chasing Liam who was struggling with tyre temps in the darker colder temperatures and as my car was running well I pushed to keep that advantage, Liam pitted a few laps later and I moved up to P5 and set my sights on Barry in P4. With 40 odd minutes of racing to go I was 17/18 seconds behind Barry but I was quicker than him and pushed hard to close the gap, lap after lap I saw the Porsche getting closer and I thought that he was struggling with the same issues as Liam, I closed to a few seconds and and with 10 minutes left I lined Barry up on the Start/Finish straight, he defended but I had much more grip and went round the outside of T1. Had to work hard to keep in front of Barry in the closing laps but stayed consistent for the last 2 laps to take P4.
Great win for Ian and congratulations to Zay and Oxy for the podium, great racing in Split 2, very high driving standards and congratulations to everyone who raced in our split last night.
Cheers
Dave

Q7 R7 One of the hardest race I have ever done... My pace was not good at all. A bit suprise as when I praticed it was better (still not on level of the podium...) but the feeling driving my car yesterday was different than in practice, not sure why... Racing in this condition was requesting a lot of concentration and I made few mistake that cost me a lot of time and some damages... I went very deep in the race to do my pit stop, I started on a full fuel tank, and pitted with only 13 minutes to go only for fuel.... I had a lot of different pit stop strategies ready as I was especting more tyre wear from my practice. In practice my tyres were done after 15 laps... I had a good fight with Peter as I was running last after a early spin and had 2 more spins just when I was catching him, I finally managed to pass him at braking of turn one, after he had a not so good exit of last corner.... also, I reached mid race with 5% damages on my engine and it costed me a lot of time (I did mot realise it as I thought my lap times were bad because of my driving) but after my pit and repair, I was back in pace... I need to find a way to have a better engine management during races... if anyone can help? That was fun, clean and high level as usual. Thanks a lot. Looking forward to the next one, hoping it will be dry Cheers Chris

Q: 4th R: 1st
This may get long winded, I'll put a TL;DR at the end but here goes...
I misjudged the start times for us and got out of work just as qualifying got going, so I wasn't sure I would even make it home in time for the race (usually takes me 25-30 minutes to get home.... My poor ol' Toyota was screaming the whole way lol) but I managed to get in with just under 10 minutes to go in qually. Pulled up the setup, made a couple quick little tweaks and went off to see what I could do. I wasn't too stoked on my qualifying time but I was just glad I made it in at all, so taking good with the not so good on that front.
At the race start, we all made it through T1 super well (as Dave put it: "Well that was all rather polite of everyone!" Lol) but on the exit of T3 Barry and Oxy got tangled up and went off so I fell in line with LSR Zay and just ran laps. I seemed to be keeping pace with him fairly well so I knocked my engine mode down a peg and just cruised for about 10 minutes when on the run down to Dunlop I caught the kerb with the left rear and it tried to spin me. Nasty tank slapper, I about had it corralled back in and then overcorrected just a smidge and spun off. Managed to keep it out of any walls and from stalling, lost a place to Vulcan but shook it off and kept going.
Vulcan and I swapped places a few times after eachother's mistakes, that was good fun actually. We were pretty close on pace but he caught the puddle between 15 and 16 and got damage I believe, so it was back to hot mode for the engine and start hunting down Zay before pitstops. I managed to catch him just before I stopped for fuel and tires, over-fueled the everloving shit out of the car like a genius strategist, and came out in 3rd behind Liam who still needed to stop. At that point, I'm thinking "well that's me spent, 2nd it is... Keep pushing just in case" and with about 20 to 25 minutes left, Zay came back up on the relatives about 20 seconds ahead. Managed to reel him in and with just under 5 or so minutes left I was within 2 seconds of him. This is where it gets crazy...
We crossed the line to start the 2nd to last lap with 1:50 remaining, and I was about a second behind him. Kept it clean, hit my marks as best I could and tried to line him up for a drag race to the line. We crossed the finish line with, and I kid you not, 2. Seconds. Left. If time had ran out he would've had me by a fender, but we had to run one more lap. Sent it way deep into 1, thought I had blown it but managed to corral it back and get an awesome exit and had the lead into 3. Ran the lap as best I could, nailed all my marks and finished 1.3 seconds ahead. Had to mute for a second and scream like an idiot, I couldn't believe it! You couldn't have written a movie script that played out that well, it was absurd. I wish I would've thought to record it, or at least the finish. That was one in a million. I think I had the fastest lap but I'm not sure, I forgot to get those when I took the picture of the finishing order on my phone.
All in all, an insane race start to finish. Big congrats to everyone for pulling through, that was a tough one. And congrats to Sean and Neale on the driver's and team championships, hell of an effort on your guy's part.
TL;DR - 24 year old Polish-American dude channels some of Kimi Raikkonen's Iceman energy and somehow manages to keep his nose clean for an hour and a half to win race with a last lap pass on one of the fastest guys from Forza Motorsport, shakes like a leaf in the wind from excitement for half an hour afterwards

Thanks Dave, appreciate it.
Congrats, Ian. Race wins in any lobby with races this long are no easy feat. Glad to see Oxy got a podium, too!
Chris, just one of those nights maybe where things compound and that makes it tough. You are always in the hunt for wins and podiums.
Listening to pre race discussions, I'm positive a lot of people were practicing in Light Rain only and not full rain through the middle 1/3 if the race. That was a 10 lap difference. It's crucial everyone pays attention to the weather slots, especially for a race like that. It was an easy mistake to make with this one.
Formula Tyler has shown how strong he is in the rain and I was fully expecting some battles there. But all in all, our lobby went well. I'm sure just about everyone had a lot of fun in the minefield of puddles in the pits.lmao

Q9 R5
Short recap: It rained and I didn’t spin 😀
Qualy went well, just a little bit to eager in disabling my pit limiter and got a 1 place penalty. No problem as I was not that fast on this track compared to the rest of the field.
Race. Turn1 went smooth for everyone, kept it on the outside myself and passed Peter. My strategy was to drive .5 slower than I could do, just to not make any mistake in braking or spinning.
After 3 laps I found myself in 7th as Christophe couldn’t find the pace and dropped back. Myself I couldn’t keep up with the pace of Tyler and Karl, just driving my laps keeping it in the 1:49 with the light rain. After the heavier rain came in, laptimes dropped to 1:50 mid - 1:51 low and same strategy still. Keep the car in the middle of the track as all the puddles are on the sides.
When I heard on the chat Sean was going to lap Peter, I took my pitstop, as I didn’t want to mess up my flow with being a backmarker. After my pitstop I dropped behind Micko and due to new tyres I could keep up with the pace easy. Kept it behind for about 2 laps, when Micko spun around and drove passed him.
Final 15 minutes a lot of people where struggling with the puddles, specially Tyler had some tough luck. I kept it clean myself for the remaining time and finished about a minute down on Nate.
Congrats to Sean on the title and Nate on your first win. Strong drive in these conditions 👍

Thanks Joeri, always fun driving with you.
I made an updated to my original post. My Q was bitter sweet, but it happens. I did expect a couple of us to turn 41s, but it didn't happen. Not your typical qualifying session when your fastest laps are early lol

Q3 R2 Great evening Was happy with qualifying as missed out on wet part and left with a wet wet track. Start was good had a shunt on first corner but managed to keep spot Than Micko got me with the speed of his motor on main straight and started to pull a gap then got past as Micko spins. Micko closes and we Continue having a great tackle for a good stretch of the race up to pitting. Then I find myself with a gap in third Micko has issue going into pits then I hear Karl and Sean have a issue and Sean pits now in second what a race. Managed to keep second just as Sean was closing fast. But not fast enough 😝 Great race guys. Well done Nate and to all that took part. 😀

I was going really well in Race and having a great dice with Neale for 3rd. He went in for his pistop so I carried on hoping to over-cut him...on my entry to the pit lane I mistakenly took the sand on the right-hand side of pitlane approach for tar-mack and spun over the track. Was able to enter the pits eventually but lost around 30 secs sorting myself out to enter pit but now had damage another 20 secs in pit Here's my highlights vid from Fugi (1st 57 mins)
