Q1
R1
Qualifying went well with quite a few in the 30s. I ended up with a 1:29.477 and really wanted to hit a 28, but it wasn't happening. WR is a 28.2 or something crazy.
Race had more off tracks, battles and damage throughout the lobby than I can remember in a long time, starting in T1. But, everyone finished!
I pitted as late as possible and just tried to stay out of trouble and had a pretty uneventful race. So many people had problems the first half of the race that I just had to keep it clean.
Really happy to see Karl come in with a 2nd and Will to come in 2nd in his lobby. Really cool, congrats to those guys because they have had a rough season in spots.
Congrats to Neale for solidifying 2nd Place in the Championship and I couldn't ask for a better teammate. Sitting this season out, I really appreciate Mike letting us cheat on him.lol
Off to Dubai, should be a great finale!

Nice job Sean. I was definitely not in the right state of mind to race today, mainly just exhausted. My practice times were decent the other night with a best of 1:32 so my times wouldn't have been too terribly off. Keeping it up for an hour and a half though probably would have been too much unfortunately...

Hi all, first of all thanks for giving me the opportunity to join this race, never had so much fun in racing!! after the race I exported my data from rsdash to excel/numbers and compared my lap times with Joeri (other session). You can see the comparison below, it's great to see each others consistency or the lack of.. if you have any data (preferably csv) send me a message and I can add it if you like. Short race report Session 2 Q5 R1 I had a decent qualifying, nowhere near the pole times. Because we had some issues with people dropping out after qualifying we needed to rearrange during the first lap of the race to the official grid order. Therefore our race lasted 5 minutes longer. When the race started we had a tiny bid of chaos in the first corner and I came out 3rd if I remember correctly. The 2 in front of me are just too fast. number 4, big will, chased me very fast and by making a mistake I helped him past me. from there on it was quite a lonely race with a gap of 5 seconds and increasing in front of me and a gap of 7 seconds behind me. everyone around me pitted so at some point I was first. I pitted when I had 15 liters left in the tank and to my surprise I came out back in front with the number 2 and 3 just behind me! They had some touching and probably grass, gravel, or even a spin (don't know for sure) going on, giving me this edge The last 30-35 minutes were tricky as the 3 people behind me were faster but (unfortunately for them, luckily for me) because of some mistakes from them I managed to stay first. The final laps big will came really close to overtaking but this track is rather difficult to overtake. All in all, like I said in the text above, it was a great experience! Sorry for only mentioning one name, I'm the new guy so names will come later on hopefully

Q2 R3
Did some decent testing last Friday night to polish out some errors in turn 1 and turn 6, where I spun out every 4th lap or so 😇. A more stable setup and slighly more downforce did work out best for me.
Qualy went really well and found myself on P2, just a few hundreds in front of Neill. In the last part of qualy I really tried a all out lap and was on my way to get a 1:29 high, but spun out on the tricky double left hander.
Strategy for the race was just like Fuji. Find my own rythm and drive 1:32.xxx or low 1:33.xxx as much as possible, stay out of trouble and don’t spin it around. Turn 1 I saw Nate and Neill touched? and got Chris on my tail. After 4-5 laps, I overshoot turn 6 slightly and left both Chris and Nate drive by. Noticed in practice that driving in dirty air, makes the turn on to start finish straight a tricky bastard, so left a gap of 1,5 second to Nate. After a few laps Chris made a mistake and had a crash onto Nate, which gave me p2 for free.
Oxy was +/- 5 seconds behind me for the entire time (just like COTA again 👍) and we where on the same pace for the entire race. Pit stops were coming up and wanted to jump in front of Karl, who did an early stop when driving behind Oxy. Don’t know how, but he jumped me by 6 seconds coming out of the pits and I dropped behind Micko. Slight error coming on start/finish straight saw me dropping behind Micko for about 7 seconds, but with new tires I was back on his tail after 5 laps when he spun in turn 5.
I had a gap of 9 seconds to Karl, who was on the same pace so I thought to drive my own race and see if I can grab third place without errors. When Karl made 2 little mistakes I could grab p2 from him and we had a really good fight for the last 30 minutes. I had some issues on my tires with 10 minutes to go, little moment at turn4 and Karl took p2 and didn’t gave it away anymore. Last lap was really close, but finished .200 behind Karl on p3.
Really nice race, Sean was out of reach for all of us with a pace difference of more than a second. Congratulations on the win, you where a class on your own. Congrats to Karl on p2, had a nice fight with you, which should have happened at Zolder with the Vintage series too 👍
Also good job on your first race Vincent, winning the second heat 👍

Q6 R9
I had no big expetation for this race. I struggled to find a fast set-up and focus on to have a safe one for rhe race, trying to be consistent....
As expected, in qualy I did not have the pace but strangly I was not able to really heat up the tyres. I had to do 6 or 7 laps to have the left hand side about hot but right was still pretty cold. That was not the case when I was practising using actual dates and weather... after a some set-up changes in qualy it was a little bit better but not enough to produce a better lap....
Race Starting P6, I had a good start and was lucky to end up P3 after T1 due to contact between other drivers... it was easier as tyres were hot at start and did not loose to much in such a short formation lap... Joe was P2 and let me trough as he felt that I was faster ( cheers!), I was then P2... after few lap my pace dropped a little as front tyres were cooling down, inducing some understeer... coming to the double left hander, I had a massive understeer in the first one, ended up going a bit long with 2 wheels on the grass and spun... that was bad as the car behind (not sure who) could not avoid the contact and we ended up both with damages.... only 12% front for me but enough to affect badly the car.... I was loosing 1 to 2 secs each laps, I decided to carry on to the pit window in order to have enough fulk tank space to refuel and stop only once... I pitted in lap 17. On hot tyres, anf a repaired car, the pace was back and when all drivers started to pit I manage to be back up to P5 chasing P4 slowly lap after lap closing the gap from 10 sec to 6.... but trying to push harder, I lost the rear end at exit T1, ended up in the wall with 12 % front damages again... at that point the race was done... a pit stop will have put me far behind, I tried to carry on but the car was bad to drive... the last 10 laps the car started to have strange behaviours even in straight line... being P9 with a big gap to P10 I stop to repair to finish the race safely...
Good racing from everybody as always. Sean was untouchable as always.
Thanks a lot guys, looking for next one Christophe

Q 3 happy with that R 5 Ok not having much luck with first corner at race starts it’s like I have a magnet on my car drawing cars into me or HIT ME decal on my car when I’m sticking to my line☹️not sure who this was this race but again hit from behind and push of track back to 9th. so started to get back into race made a couple of passes now making progress then I pass Cp who has had I issue and then I dump it no damage and now back again 2 positions of I go again back up to Karl manage to get pass as Karl runs wide close gap back up to Cp Then Cp runs wide on last corner and I follow lost backend and into wall I go,bad damage now, have to pit. Back into race damage repaired fuelled up new tyres. That’s was my only stop which worked out good ,was so close on fuel to finish had to do a lot of fuel saving to the end which aloud Micko to get very close to the end. 5th happy with that after all issues. Tough track that one, well done to Sean and all podium drivers. Great evening. Take care keep safe. Neale

Karl would have jumped you at the pits because he didn't change tyres. We both decided it wasn't needed here and saved a fair chunk of time at the pit stop 👍

Q 2 R 2
My first podium on pcars!
This was by far the best race iv'e had in this league, not only in terms of finishing p2 but had some good on track action. The front top 3 were about 5 seconds apart for a large part of the race & we were constantly switching positions. Well done Kersnaamgebrui on the win, i almost had you last lap coming out of the hairpin! And also dan & zay who were also involved in the top 3 fight. I wish the game would record my races at the end because it was a classic & one to share. Any ideas why it fails everytime with me? Well done to the all the other guys racing & in the other lobby - Sean on another great win & Karlos, Neale on the podium.

Hi Will,
PC2 and saving videos is just horrible. What I tried to do is stream trough Twitch, normally (it failed for me) it should save the full stream to your twitch account. It was great racing yesterday!

On the subject of saving replays check your profile to see if you've got any already saved there. The saving is really limited and you can only save about 50 minutes to an hour total which basically equates to less then one of our races. So you have to remember to delete each one before your can save another. This save limitation is a restriction on the Xbox and not just game related. They made a decision to prevent saves on the HDD and just allow it on the 256mb cache which is nuts but it is what it is. Using Twitch or Mixer is your best bet for saving races.

We were talking about replay saving a bit last night and I can never get more than 20 min to save. Mine is in 4k, so maybe that hurts it. Screen caps are 4k and videos are 1080p, so I'm not sure exactly what's happening there. Was surprised to hear some are able to save much more than that, though.
Heating up the right side tires in qually was an issue without a doubt. Throughout sector 2 and 3, I would spend the first couple laps taking any opportunity I could to over drive the right side.. maybe 2 to 3 times on a straight. It won't be a problem at Dubai, but it comes in handy. You can pick up 10 extra psi a lap doing that.
Thanks all on the congrats. My best all time full fuel lap was a 30.300 I think and wanted to stay in the mid 31s the whole race. Nate, Micko, CP, and Neale are always threats. Misfortune happens sometimes and it sucks for sure, but I'm glad everyone had fun.

I can't stand Abu Dhabi, but this track is really great. Will and Neale got it quickly. :-o

I always get between 45 minutes to an hour depending on the track and numbers of cars.

Q 7 R 9
Same old story for me, couldn’t quite find the pace I had in practice for quali, thought I could’ve found another few tenths which would’ve meant moving up the grid by quite a few slots as the times were so close in the midfield, but could only manage a 31.8 then disengaged the pit limiter 2 meters before the line got me a 1 place penalty.
I had been considering moving to a 2 stop strategy as I’d run some fast and consistent race pace in practice but I decided late on to stay on the more conventional 1 stop, after some small issues we got the race underway and I got a fairly good start and I’d picked up 1 or 2 places, I was close behind Ian in P5 when he had a lag spike which threw his car in the air 🤗 and I latched onto Barry’s Porsche and began to put some pressure on in the last sector, then in the last hairpin as I was lining him up for a possible attack I applied the throttle and the car swapped ends and left me on the grass, I rejoined behind Ian and low and behold the same thing happened at the same corner. The car wasn’t behaving as expected and the Traction Control felt like it had failed as it wouldn’t engage. I attempted to close the gap back to the cars in front but the competitive standards are high and I couldn’t make any kind of impact. As the race went on I was fairly frustrated and began overdriving the car causing more shunts, so not a great performance from me.
Huge congratulations firstly to Vince in his debut win, secondly we’ll done to Will for a throughly deserved P2 and Dan for his podium on his return to the championship.
Also huge congratulations to Sean and Neale for both titles and Neale securing P2 in the championship, you’re the class of our league and we’re very proud of you both.
And lastly to everyone who raced in Split 2 last night, it’s only 2 in number and certainly not In stature, another hugely competitive and exciting race event.
So, we move on to the last race of this season which has seen our League grow not only in numbers but in the quality of its drivers, looking forward to the season finale.
Cheers
Dave

Q 4th R 8th
I was looking forward to this one since I had a bit of prior experience here racing the Group 4 cars during the career mode, and I actually like this track quite a bit - deceptively simple but it'll bite if you're not careful, and tough to whittle away extra tenths once you start running quick. And this was my first race with a tune I set up entirely on my own, no downloads or assistance.
All that aside, qualifying went fairly well. I had been having the same issues other people have been having with the car feeling entirely wrong and not getting any heat in the tires no matter what you did leading up to the race, but the pCars 2 gods decided to be nice to me and I managed to hold the pole for I think around half the session. I eventually got bumped down to 4th around .4 seconds down, and tried to get more but I started overdriving and making mistakes so I took my 4th and worked on setting stategies up for the last 5 minutes of qually.
We had an issue with the start of our first attempt, so we went back and started over but somehow I ended up in a Ford and not my beloved bimmer... I'm not sure if I just missed the prompt to pick my car or if the game even gave me a chance to, my guess is I just zoned out and missed it. I didn't want to make Dave start over so I just ran it, threw a quick tune that was similar to how I had the BMW set up and gave it a run. To my surprise it wasn't actually half bad even though the tune was hastily thrown together and based on one for a car that has its engine in a completely different place! Had a fair bit of push in the front end but otherwise it was really good (might ask for a car transfer for Dubai, Pete... We'll see how I feel in testing over the week)
Tried to settle in as best I could and get used to the car quickly, i think I fell back a couple places but things seemed okay for the time being... Then as Dave mentioned I got a huge lag spike and ended up in the sand. I didn't have any damage even though I think I got hit but I kept on going and just plugging away, saving some fuel for a bit and trying to stay consistent. At around halfway I took my stop, no mistakes and things were looking well and I managed to claw my way back to 5th place, podium was still quite a ways up the road but there was time to close the gap. Zay had an issue and I managed ti get 4th from him for a bit but he had better tires so he got me back shortly after but I fell in line amd was managing to keep him within a second for a while. At 20-25 minutes to go though, I lost it exiting the last corner, tried to save it but ended up in the wall with massive damage, and had to putz around the whole track to the pits and lost a ton of time, then managed 8th for the finish.
All in all i was happy though, with qualifying and for doing as well as I did in the wrong car with a setup I'm surprised even worked lol, if it weren't for that wreck towards the end I'd say it was a resounding success. Great racing again in the second split, and congrats to Kers on the debut win!

I really enjoyed it again Saturday...congrats to Sean on another fine win. I had a mixed bag but Peter and I had a great couple of dices over many laps until he unfortunately span out with a few laps to go. Neale was a long way in front of me then I started to catch him quite quickly but never got close enough to make an attempt for 5th. Here's the highlights vid from the first 50 odd minutes followed by the epic battle with Peter and me swapping places from my cockpit only.

Q-5 R-2 I was surprised to be mid-pack after quali. I did have my PB time (1:31.5) though so, that was nice. Race start was not so good, fifth to last by the end of T1. Neale was ahead of me and he got a good start but we were both on the outside of the track for T1 and staying wide was always going to be what we needed to do if there was any contact in T1 (39m into video). Unfortunately Nate tapped the back of Neale and went wide as well, rather than try to make the corner (not wanting to make contact with anyone on my right) I just followed Neale into the gravel and we rejoined the circuit as all the others went by. Neale made quick work of some of the cars ahead and was up to P6 or P5 in no time it seemed. I struggled a little more to make it though the field. We both got by Peter when he went a little deep into the gravel at T1. Next lap Neale made quick work of Micko and Greg, but I couldn’t find my way pasty Micko. He placed his car well and had good exits out of most corners. I didn’t have the overspeed down the straights to get him. It was a fun little bit of racing that eventually ended at Turn 1 when I tried to overtake up the inside and went in a little hot locking the brakes. I think Micko let me have the spot in the end because I think he could have kept me behind him much longer. Next up the road was Greg, but he had had an off after the T7 hairpin and was still rejoining the circuit when I went by. Then in the next corner I saw Nate was just rejoining the circuit as well from having an off at T9. I thought I heard him say he had some damage so I dove up the inside at the next corner. He must not have had too much damage though because he hung onto me quite well for the next lap or two. Finally I was back up behind Neale, but he was still on a quick pace and was 5 seconds up the road. He was racing closely with Oxy and Chris and I gained some time as they were battling it out. Then Neale had a slight slide coming out of T1 on Lap 8 and I squeezed past him into P5. Neale also had his hands full with Nate and while they were racing behind I saw Nate slide out coming out of T10 to hit the barrier (about the 51 min mark in the video). I caught up to Chris next and we had some good racing before I managed to get past him at T1. That put me up to P4 with Oxy up the road about 5 seconds. On top of that, Neale was hot on my heels again. I started setting some of my fastest laps and Neale was holding pace as well, pressuring me from behind. Eventually the pressure was too much and on Lap 15 at T7 I went too deep missing the braking point and he got through to retake P4. I stuck close to him as best I could after he got by, and we wound up catching up to Oxy in P3. But a couple laps later he went wide in the last turn following a backmarker and wound up in the pit wall barrier. That put me back to P4. When I caught up to Oxy about 6 or 7 laps later (Lap 26ish) I couldn’t find a way past. I was a little quicker through T7,9,10 but and he had more speed in the other parts of the circuit. We had some good close racing for a couple laps then I decided to pit early and try to leap frog him in the pits. I stopped on lap 29 with Oxy just in front of me and Joeri about 7 seconds further up the road in P2. After the fuel went in and I rejoined I had managed to maintain P4. Joeri stopped a couple laps later and I passed him before he exited the pits. I was then lapped by Sean though, which was a little disheartening if I’m honest, because I felt I was racing quite well, Sean just has way more pace than the rest of us…..maybe it’s setup related, maybe driver related, maybe a bit of both. A few laps later though he stopped for his pit and I got that lap back. Oxy stopped about 6 or 7 laps later and I almost crashed into the pit wall coming out of the last turn trying to push to get further ahead before he could exit the pits. Meanwhile behind me Joeri and Micko were battling for position as well ,although I think Micko still needed to stop for fuel as well. With about 30mins left in the race I was in P2 with Micko, Joeri and Oxy closing in behind. I had another slide on Lap 41 at T1 that cost me a lot of time and Joeri got past me into P2. I stuck really close to him and tried to find a way past. It was tough racing and a lot of fun. I tried a move at T9 on lap 47 that was a little too close and we made contact, but no damage to either of us. I was just trying to keep the pressure on him and hope for a mistake, but when he did make the odd mistake here and there I wasn’t close enough to capitalize. Then finally on Lap 51 with less than 10 minutes to go Joeri got a poor exit from the final turn and ran wide. I just tried to focus on running clean laps from there to stay in front of him. The gap between us never got more than a couple second for a long time in the latter stages of the race, and he made a huge push on the last lap but I just managed to hold on across the line at the end. It was a great race for me and ultimately felt like a win. Congratulations to Sean for the win and Joeri for the podium. Oxy, sorry, i feel like you could have been up on the podium as well, you had a great race. Video is here: mixer.com/niblips2?vod=278212142
