Thanks for the race guys. Definitely had a lot of technical issues to start with but once i managed to get in the race I learnt a lot to take forward and had fun doing it Great your persevered Wayne and I'm really pleased that you got in some solid track time. Any questions just fire them our way, we've got a really good group here with some excellent advice to give on all areas of virtual racing.

Well that was intense! Appreciate being allowed to test with you Gents, thoroughly enjoyed that. Apologies for parking up on Lap 1 Turn 10. Caught a few people out whilst I was spectating just off the racing line. Confession time however, I pitted in an attempt to change compounds and failed on TWO occasions. The Alternatives went the full distance but it was tricky! Need to sort out my pit strategies. Glad to hear it buddy. Definitely the pit strategies need to be carefully selected. I've had a number of races spoilt by strategies not going as I expected. Make sure to not leave the tyres on 'recommended' because the pit crew often do not make the changes you expect. Also if during a race you change anything on the fly in your pit strategy that change is saved to the selected strategy.

Well I had a day to say the least. I didn't get an invite and it was showing I was online but I remembered there is a setting on the Microsoft website where you can always show up offline that I had turned on years and years ago so I was still showing offline even though I had changed it to online on my xbox. Once I finally got that figured out I got in but my headset would not stay connected to my xbox and the sound was very choppy and no one could hear me. After trying a few times I gave up and fired up a controller with a wired chat only mic and of course it had the exact same issue and the controller kept disconnecting. I gave up on that and joined the party chat on my phone with a set of earbuds and that fixed everything and I finally got into practice with about 30 minutes left. I was able to get up to P2 with an 11.6 which I felt good about going into qualy. Of course then I didn't make it into qualifying, I'm pretty sure I fucked up and left the lobby on accident. I had never played PC2 online so wasn't sure how things work and I'm glad I'll at least have a better understanding of how it works next time. Glad to see others had a good time because I did too while I was in and I'm looking forward to the next event.

Glad you both had a good time. Siri I saw your time pop up and push me down to 3rd, nice going 👍. These type of issues are the reason we decided to hold a couple of practice events so they can hopefully be ironed out. There's another in a fortnight's time if you can make it 👍 The sign-up thread will be up soon.

Hello Good morning everyone I want to tell you that last night I felt very good playing with you For me it was very very fun. Unfortunately, my times were not up to scratch. I'm sorry about that, unfortunately for me it was my first online race. I hope I didn't get in the way of anyone, even though I didn't understand what happened to me on the first lap... I found myself turning in the sky. Boh.. I'd love to start the championship with you!.. I'm waiting for the administration's ok!😂😂 But I would really need some advice or help to start building setups... I'm not very capable of doing that and last night I noticed a very big difference between my car and the others. especially in speed. but I don't know where to get my hands on it😂😂 hello to everyone and soon!

Sorry for the no show yesterday, I just wasn't feeling up to it. I'll be back this Saturday for the WEC season finale and all of the regular Indycar season events.
Will there be an oval test? I could always use more oval practice.

Throughly enjoyed last night Gents, was very impressed with the laptimes and it’s great to see this championship get the kind of support that we all think it deserves. I’m really looking forward to the championship and racing with you all in the coming series and it is shaping up to be our best championship yet. As Pete said if our new friends have any questions either about the car or the races then please ask and we’ll do our best to help with any queries.
For our final pre-season test we will run at one of the Super Speedways (Indy, Daytona or Texas) ovals are a very different type of racing and I hope you’ll enjoy it so keep looking in on the forum for details.
I’m going to be online testing for some other events this coming week so come and say hi.
Cheers
Dave

I have some questions...
I cannot get Push-To-Pass to work. I've assigned it to the B button on my wheel but pressing it does nothing. What am I missing?
I'm also struggling to control the oversteer. If I take a corner just right there's no issue, but it seems that the slightest mistake will often send the car spinning into the grass. I've adjusted the camber, roll-bar and springs etc. but nothing seems to change the car's balance to a satisfying degree. Is this just a characteristic of the Indy cars? I've no experience with them until now.
Also, ride height — no matter how high I set the rear of the car it always seems to bottom out to 0cm on the long straights. Again, is this just something that's unavoidable in an Indy car, or am I doing something wrong?

Just a quick answer to one of your questions for now as i'm sitting in the garden with the sun glaring on my screen lol.. P2P is only available during the actual race and not in practice or quali sessions.

Again, is this just something that's unavoidable in an Indy car, or am I doing something wrong? As Pete has said P2P only works in the race, it gives a horsepower boost for 20 seconds, the oversteer issue could be a number of things but especially at Indy GP the 1st corner can cause the car to over rotate, smooth driver inputs and brake balance changes can help but remember that these are high performance race cars and they’re not easy to drive. The car will sit down further on the straights especially if you have high downforce levels, try running with less rear downforce and slightly stiffer rear springs but soften the RARB to compensate the oversteer. I’ll be online this week most days so we can do some more testing and I’ll try to help out as much as I can. Cheers Dave
