The season closer should be fun, I like this track. It has a corner that reminds me of that one corner near the end of Fuji and a couple corners that remind me of that really tricky section at Malaysia. 1:58 - 1:59s are my race pace so far but I know I can get more out of the car here as I learn the track a little better. It's a fast and flowing track for sure. The Aston ghost I put up in TT has a decent line. A couple spots can be cleaned up, but overall it will help.

The circuit is really tricky and you loose a lot of seconds when not nailing those corners perfectly, specially the long left hander (turn9) before the straight. Last week I did some testing, qualy was a 1:54.2 and race high 1:55 - low 1:56 as pace. Really looking forward to the closure of the WEC season. That's a good pace. I've never raced here before and got on for an hour session last night. My lap times are 57s and 58s. this circuit seems to have quite a few late apex corners....i hate those. lol I usually hate those kind of corners too, but Fuji taught me that it makes the racing a little more fun and interesting at the same time.

That's where I am as well. I've only had the time to squeeze in a short race session tonight but after the first laps times were 58's and 59's over the first half dozen laps. I think I could find another second or so with a bit more time but not sure I'll get another chance before race time. Edit: Managed to get in the first 15 laps and dropped into the 1:57's. Soft tyres will last about half distance or a bit longer if I'm careful with them. Left front takes a hammering and I'm not sure there's any way to protect it without compromising performance.

That may be hurting you guys. Try Hard tires for this track. They seem to be more consistent and faster. Still, the rear left gets cooked pretty early on. Even in TT, hard tires are faster here, particularly in S1. The late apexes are tough, they require a lot of patience. I have some time today if anyone wants some tips for the track.

Just never had the chance to test them. I haven;t run them at all this series so have no experience of them so far. If I get a chance to egt on toninght I will try them out. Left rear? My rears don't take any hit at all, all on the fronts and mainly the front left.

I'm on the same page as Peter but I wasn't having any tyre problems. They stayed in the green and felt great over a 10 lap stint. I did tinker with the caster and camber angles which definitely helped me.
Am I hosting this one or is Sean? I like to have the lobby set up ahead of time if I am so when I turn the game on it's all ready to go

I've got my router sorted now, but you are welcome to host.
The left rear takes a beating in S1 and can get close to 120 degrees if you're not careful, especially early in the race.
There have been very few tracks where hard tires are faster. This is one. Watkins and COTA both were hard tires. However, that could have been due to the heat at the time. But yes, 100% hard tires in all the GTE cars for this track and race.

It's all based on the championship standings so would need someone to drop down. Dave would be next in line to move up.

Must be car or driving style as my rears never get anywhere close to that temp and barely wear at all over the course of a 15 lap stint. Hottest by far is the front left that goes up to 110 sometimes. Haven't managed to get on again tonight, too knackered after a tough day and week so if I go with the hard tyres I would be going in blind with no tyre pressure info to go by either.

Hards run essentially the same psi, but seem to work better with higher psi. My Aston ghost is on hard tires
