Come here with all ideas and suggestions for potential series and individual events that we can hold here on XRF in ACC.

Following last night's 3rd Grid Choice Series event we will now be looking to move over to ACC for our regular Saturday night gatherings and as such will be holding the first test event on Saturday, 27th June at 9pm. Keep checking here for details as myself and Sean will be chatting about what form that event will take and what track(s) to test on.
Please feel free to give your views on it here and highlight any track preferences you may have for an initial test.

Good idea to keep with the Grid schedule, Peter.
A couple days after ACC is released, we can decide on a track and either 90min Practice session or a 30m Q/90m R. I believe you can adjust setups in the pits, so a Race would work I think.

I think if we stick to the 30min Quali and 90 min Race format we've been used to it will provide us with a good test of what ACC is capable of.
We'll all get in some individual testing in the days after release so should be up to speed on how to set pit stop strategies, etc.

Been reading some reviews of ACC for the console - both Xbox and PS4 versions won't support private lobbies plus the game is limited to 30fps. No additional support on Xbox one x or PS pro.
Pretty disappointing. Hard to find any console footage yet.

Well that's a deal breaker if they don't have the same basic PW protected lobbies they have on AC console versions.
30FPS blows, but I kind of assumed that would be the case. AAA studios still have a hard time with 60fps 4K.
No private lobbies will absolutely destroy any hope for them hosting competitive teams. Surely that will at least be fixed.

Oh man that absolutely sucks hard! It's about as disappointing as when the original AC was released on console only to find that there was no multiplayer at all 😨 This news kills any chance of using ACC for for Saturday night racing, no way i'm interested in public lobby racing. We've got a really good group together and should be able to race together without unknown drivers invading or grids.. what a crock of shit!
Ironically I received notification today that my payment for the game had been actioned. If I had seen this news earlier I would have likely cancelled the order!

I'll still get it, but will be cautiously pessimistic.lol If by that Saturday there is zero PW lobbies etc, then we have the order saved for the next Grid. I may go ahead and get the track/car info.

Might as well Sean then at least something is in place in case online with ACC is as messed up as that article indicates.
I need to get on their forums too see what the reaction is on there. Last time I checked my access needed reactivating. They were always pretty strict on what us console guys were able to do on there.

Yeah I'm pretty disappointed by it too. 30fps was to be expected I guess but I would have thought they could have done more on the X. It's unlikely they'll change this but we'll see.
The public lobby is an odd one. I don't see why they wouldn't have this as a day 1 feature. Even if they used the same kit they have the old AC running on and repurpose it. Odd decision.
Online reaction has been mainly negative as you can imagine.

It's just worrying that they didn't learn from the mistakes of the original game which was released with no one play at all. It is starting to feel exactly the same ie a money grab to fund the pc side of things.
I'm looked into obtaining a refund seeing as the game is yet to be released.

I'm really disappointed in the news. There may be a Day 2 fix for stuff but it will be a while away I reckon.

If private lobbies are not in the opening day release then I can't see it coming for some time. It took them a long time to get the original AC up to anywhere near a half finished product and based on some of the things i've been reading my confidence in them really wanting the console audience has been badly shaken.
There was a live promo of it today but they didn't even use the console version for that. That kind of tells you something.

That's pretty dumb. Mine got billed and downloaded last night. It's only slightly over 10 gigs?

Refunds should be able to be given as you're still not able to play until the 23rd.
10GB? I'd expect it to be more than that for a racing Sim - especially including the DLC that was thrown in on the pre-order.

Yeah, I noticed they weren't exactly willing to let anyone post a dissenting view on the AC forum.lol. That's alright, we have unlimited opportunities for great races in the other series.

This is taken from the PS4 Pro apparently:-
Really concerning me that there appears to be zero Xbox footage.
