Q1 R1
Hated seeing Peter, of all people, backing out to make room when he was one of the first people to Qualify. He will at least get a year's worth of good simracing karma for that.
Karl made a mistake that's happened to all of us, forgetting to load the Race tune. So that was two of the top drivers gone right off the bat. So it is a bitter sweet win. Was looking forward to fighting for a LeMans 3-Pete, but it feels more like a 2.5 lol
Will was able to extend an extra couple laps out of his first stint, so that made it interesting considering I was looking at 4 pit stops to make it without significant fuel saving. We got together for a sint half way through the race. I was able to pull out just far enough for some blue markers to hold him up and give me room to breathe. After that, I just had to not make any mistakes.
If Peter and Karl and whoever else want to run another one for LMP1/LMPH one of these off Saturdays, I'm all in. It's the most underrated class in PC2, IMO.

CIAO guys, I want to say that despite having had difficulties driving my personal (I am absolutely not at your level), for the first 3/4 laps I had to struggle with a car that appeared and disappeared continuously in front of me.. if I'm not mistaken it was a black and white Porsche.. Patience! I want to thank all of you for the evening! although after just over an hour I had to abandon for getting damage to the car. THANK YOU ALL!

Qualifying – P4 (promoted to P3) Race – P2
First stint I filled up with 12 laps as I wasn’t sure how the soft tyres would perform at the start of the race. Since the night conditions came in a bit quicker than we all expected, I was glad to get through this with little or no incident. I was stick with Liam and Dave within 5/8 seconds or so and I was happy with the consistency. A few GTE and LMP’s had fallen off the road at this point so running 5th was good going. First stop was for tyres and fuel, and to fix some damage from a spin at Porsche curves. (Managed a piss stop here too – multi-tasking).
Second stint was cut two laps short as I got a bit ambitious of getting out of the way of the leaders. No major damage but enough to merit a pit and more fuel. At this point I’d planned to go to the end but as it turned out I would be short on fuel by a lap! Wasp was starting to have major issues with traction so I was playing a bit of cat and mouse until he fell a lap or so behind. Unlucky mate.
Morning had broken and while I was sitting comfortably in 3rd, I had a spin at the first chicane as I was trying to work out fuel. Again not too much damage so I opted to continue however given my top speed was impacted and Dave was catching, I needed to stop. Fuel (1 lap) and damage repair put Dave about 10/15 secs behind me. Pressure!
Keeping my head down and keeping it clean was key to brining it home in 2nd. I jumped Dave in the final stops and brought it home for second. Delighted after my longest race to date to have got a podium. Congrats to Liam who was the class of the GTE field. Hard luck for the non finishers and people who had issues. Dave – it was a pleasure racing you for the last 5/6 laps.
Congrats to Sean and the LMP finishers, as well as Liam and the GTE finishers.
Richard

Honourable mention to CSR Bryan and Wasp - you guys had far superior pace to me but were caught out either by setup issues or connection issues.
Also the same goes for Pete and Karl who we lost either at the start or just before.
You'll be back stronger next time.

Q 7 R 3
An admin error on my part meant I didn’t set a time in qualifying but I felt I could’ve been in the top 3.
After all the very frustrating connection issues and aborted starts I got a fairly decent start and the car felt good as the temps began to build. As the 1st stint got underway I found myself in a battle with Liam and Rich, and making a move on Rich into the Michelin Chicane, as the stint went on I had a few unfortunate unforced errors which may have cost me any chance of finishing any higher on the podium. Ran long into the 1st stint and lead for a few laps until I pitted and remerged on n the middle of the GTE field, apologies to Wayne for a coming together at the PlayStation Chicane where I span and Wayne had nowhere to go, thankfully little damage was done. As the night went on the car improved in the soft tyres and I made my way back up to 3rd and in an excellent if mid distance fight with Rich for 2nd, couldn’t close the gap in the end and was pleased to finish the race with a GTE podium.
Congratulations to Sean for another dominant LMP win, never in doubt and a worthy overall winner, also big congratulations to Liam for the GTE class win.
Thanks to everyone who took part and commiserations to those that couldn’t race due to connection issues.
Cheers
Dave

Wish I had video, had some crazy looking interactions with that car a couple times in S3 and the Mulsanne straight. That was really nerve racking

You definitely would have qualified towards the front in your Ford GTE, you picked up a lot of speed in it during WEC. Do we have a link to the Twitch highlights with commentary? I stopped streaming due to the issues we were having but would really like to watch the highlights.

Hi Guys, thanks for the nice evening. For me it was a difficult race right from the first lap, the start of the track, someone hit me at high speed making me overturn. From that moment an ordeal began. Sin! I had prepared well for the event! Despite this I will have fun and I achieved my goal which was to bring the car to the finish. Thank you and the one who organized the event. Thanks for your fairness and courtesy. See you at the next event.

Q 2nd R 5th
Bummed connections were not great as I was really looking forward to this one. I was very nervous about racing with anyone because of how badly I was bouncing around, on my screen it was everyone else going all over but it was not good.
Other than that, the car was excellent and I had a ton of speed. I pulled out and dropped to the back on the first lap just to be safe after hearing about the wrecks at the first mulsanne chicane and was working my way back for all of the first half of the race and had a lag incident with Sean and got sent off hard into a wall and was on the back foot from there. No fault of his own, the cars bouncing back and forth made something like that inevitable, it just happened in a bad spot. Luckily no harm done to him, if it was my fault that the overall leader got damage I'd have never forgiven myself. My race was done as soon as it started in my mind after hearing about my car stuttering so badly.
Fixed the car and went back out and made up a ton of time overnight and into the morning, went into the pits with a decent lead on 4th and about 10 seconds on 3rd, I had set up for a splash and go with no tires and ended up having a gearbox failure which really killed my race completely. Had that not happened I may have been able to make it up to the podium but 4th was definitely within grasp. Despite that I'm just glad I finished with the connection being so shit. Congrats to our winners, you guys were unstoppable all day and it was very impressive to watch Sean dominate this whole race. And I'd like to apologise for the spotty connection causing some grief with everyone, I'm planning to remedy this within the next month so hopefully this doesn't happen again. If I'm lucky, I've got it figured out already but we will see

If I'm lucky, I've got it figured out already but we will see Damn, I didn't know you got hit. There were two times where I wish I had video. One on the Corvette turns and the other on Mulsanne straight. I'd slow down and try to see where your car was bc you couldnt hear me on chat. Then I'd go to pass on the side of the track and your car would jump past drop back, pace me, drop back, pass me 100 yards, pace me etc. It went on for the entire front straight one lap.lol It's good for everyone to clear their Alternate Mac address before a race like that. Using a free online speed test from the Xbox's built in IE browser will also help show who could be the best possible host. That's what worked for us at the end of WEC. Regardless, 16 to 18 is going to be rough more often than not unfortunately. I don't get it, ACC runs smoother with a 20 person lobby, although the FPS isn't great even offline.

Once I dropped the party I stabilized a little bit on the connection side but it wasn't a lot better since I couldn't talk to anyone! The shunt I mentioned is why I was asking if you had gotten damage, I still don't know what exactly happened but I'm guessing the way that cars were bouncing around was what happened, just at a bad time. No fault of anyone, just results of bad connections.
As for the Mac reset, I've made it a habit to do before each race and it does help some but le mans was by far the worst I've had connection-wise with this game and this group outside of just being unable to connect to one Indy car race. I'm looking into a few options to upgrade before formula Renault kicks off but with Christmas coming up I'm not sure what sort of extra budget I'll have. I've tested with my phone's mobile hotspot and that seems to be stable and fast enough to be a short term option but I would rather not rely on that as it's got a hard limit on data at 10GB and my carrier charges 5 dollars a GB for extra hotspot data. Fingers crossed I can find a good long term solution until cable companies decide to run high speed out here for less than the price of a used car

They do make wifi boosters that we use for TVs in the house and they work alright, but you have to have fast internet to begin with.

No, wifi only here unfortunately. Hoping and praying that we get some sort of cable ran up near me at some point but it's looking like slim odds on that. After the holiday season passes I'm going to go out and get something newer hotspot-wise, I think the age of the one I have is what's really limits it from being what it could be as my new phone seems to run perfectly fine, so maybe it just needs an upgrade but I'm really not sure. Something I'll have to dig into a bit more
