Qualy P3 Sprint P1 Feature P1
Q - We had a light grid this time, 6 drivers showing up for race day so was aiming for a front row start with Karl. Had some laps in low 28´s that allow me to stay in 2nd. At the final minutes Wayne out of nowhere puts a 27.7 that I was not able to match. Put a 28.8 on the table just .02 shy of Wayne's time. 3rd again on qualy.
S - A good start from Peter and a bad one from Karl allowed me to stay put on P3. Wayne had good pace and built a 2s gap on the first laps. Top 4 (Wayne, Peter, me and Karl) were suffering with poor grip and we all start a train battle in the first 10 minutes. Good racing defending by Peter made passing almost impossible. Had a mega wobble in S3 and Karl passed me so I was P4. Then Wayne made a mistake from the lead and as we were all so close he slipped back to P4 battling with Hannes who was not far behind.
Top 5 covered by 5 seconds and the the Rexergie boys battled started. With 10 minutes to go they were glued to each other, me watching with a 2s gap hoping for a mistake. Karl was faster but Pete was defending like a champ. Great battle ended when Peter went wide in T1 and then Karl had a spin in T5 that allowed me to take the lead. Strange race, more than a case of who was faster it was who would make less mistakes. Led the final 5 minutes comfortably until at the last lap had the catch of the century LOL (you can watch it on stream) as I left DRS open for the bump at the final turn. That moment cost me around 2secs but was still all good to take my 3rd win (2nd in a row). Great racing by everyone well done.
F - Started last and went to P4 as Peter went into the pits to fix his rear wing. First 10 minutes I was struggling for pace with Karl taking a 6s lead an then coudn´t match Hannes and Wayne's pace as they were dueling for P2. Hannes had a spin later and started to catch Wayne that was sliding all over the place. Managed to pass him when he locked up his rear in T5 but by that time Karl was 9s up the road. Pace in clear air was encouraging, keeping Karl honest with the lap times all the way until the pitstops.
Karl and I had bad in-laps to the gap stayed the same. During the race the gap increased but not by a lot so with 5 minutes to go it was around 13s. Wayne was bored so he decided to let Hannes get close and battle for P3. They both had a moment and took Karl as an innocent victim. They stopped so I decided to put some fresh rubber to go for the FL. Disaster happened as engine issue delayed my pitstop and all the action took almost 50+seconds. That left me battling with Karl in the last two laps for the win, it was a good duel until we had a race incident in the second to last corner (a Hamilton-Albon kind of touch) so we both suffered some damage on our wings. After that we decided to go informal mode and he started to cut some corners to take the W LOL. Didn´t care about the result anymore so went with the flow and as his top speed was poor I passed him on last sector to take the win.
Nothing more that to thank you guys for allowing me to participate in this group, it has been massive fun and the racing has been one of the best I had on this game. Exceeded my goals to be in the top 3 regularly and to take 4 wins on my rookie season and 2nd in the championship! End of the season form is encouraging for the future although I´m expecting a much more difficult run with the Indy´s. Lots of work to be done with that car setup and to learn a new lot of circuits that have not driven. Cannot wait fot the season to start. I´ll see you all on the one off-races and on the Indy practices.

Sorry to have missed it, it sounds as if it was a good session despite lobby problems.
Well done on the double win mate - looking forward to Indy Season.
