WILLLOW SPRINGS PRE-SEASON TEST 1
Took the ol’ Doom machine out for its first pre-season test at Willow Springs last night. Boy do I need some track time there!! Best quali sim time I could manage was a 1:01 flat.. that’s a full 3.3 seconds off the time I set for pole last season…. Where the hell I find that missing time from I have no clue lol Race trim pace was much closer to where I was last season with a best of 1:01.9 which is about a second away from fastest lap of the race here last year.
Tyres take quite the hammering here with that front left really taking some punishment through those mega fast turns. I’m sure managing them will play a big part here yet again as will the fuel usage which cost me dear last time out.
This track has such an awesome flow to it and is such a rhythm track, I’ve always loved it and put it in my top five racing circuits.
