Here is a thread where we can compare our setups for the NSX.
My first question about setup is:
What do you start with when you start tuning your car?
Tyres? Aero? Or some other bit that lets you understand the car more?
Going the open wheel route of taking downforce out of the car for speed, doesn't always work for a first adjustment. In a GT3 car.
I usually start with the Aggressive Setup and go from there.
Suggestions?
Thanks

Nice one Matt,
You clearly realised my penchant for things being neat and tidy lol.
I am a bit unsure about setting up these type of cars. Most of my expereince is in open wheelers.
The very first thing I do is have a good solid session with the default stable setup just so I can get a feel for the car in it's most passive state and then I would tend to look at the aggressive setup at that point to see if there is one that I prefer and feel happier with. It's always key for me to try to get as much concistency into my driving as possible before looking at any setup changes. Then it really depends on what I find from that initial session as to what I start adjusting.

I would usually start out with the Aggressive setup. This gets me working backwards. Boosting areas where my driving is lagging instead of chasing what's messing with me. Does that even make sense? Understeer though not my friend follows me everywhere. Thanks Pete

Any GT3 cars will be available, all drivers must have the same livery exactly and must use numbers in a a sequence (e.g. 1,2,3,4)Peter, Can you post a screenshot of your livery so that we can paint our cars. I am pretty sure after reading that the lowest number drives first and so on.

Ok Richard, You are the NSX whisperer. How do I get speed out of this car? I am at least 2 seconds slower in this car at Silverstone than my personal best. 2:04.7.

I haven’t managed to get back on myself. I’m not sure myself how to get quicker in this car. Tbh I’ve done very little setup work in ACC as I had so many problems with the game that whenever I got on I just wanted to drive and not spend time in the garage so just used the defaults but there’s no doubt that you need a good setup to achieve decent lap times in this game.

I'll post what I'm using in my set up later this week.
Is anyone up for a session this week? Let me know what works for you all.

Would love to set up a good day to do some running again. I will be working on the Studio walls in the coming week. I'll have to take the Rig apart. Anytime after 0800 EST. PS csbryan. The more the merrier.

I can try to run next Saturday AM, 8 EST might be a hair early but I can see what I can do. Bryan, you're totally welcome to my full time slot, I will happily take a spot as a reserve instead.

I think there are two teams now from us at XRF. Artie has signed up with one that has two open slots although he is not posting here so that needs confirming. I am staying out of the chat group as wanting to avoid any chatter about Indycar that I am three races behind on. Anything posted there is not going to be picked up by me for some time so it's really important the IXR Series stuff is directed here.
Cheers
Pete
