I got on this morning to test out the server settings, joined a race with 45 minutes remaining so was a long way down but was having some fun until the front two got involved in an incident which meant I closed down on the second placed car really quickly although several laps down. He went deep into Brooklands so I was able to stick to the inside and then stayed out wide going around Luffield as I made my way past only for him to come right to that side of the track and punt me off. I rejoined and he followed me and did the same again just barging me out of the way to get back on track. Then the server disconnected for some reason. Not sure why but anyway as a result of that double incident my SA dropped by 3 points 🤬 One of my big gripes with this game is the way it apportions blame for incidents on both parties even when one is completely innocent. So annoying!! I’ll probably try to get on again tonight to test it again. All looked good with the settings though and it was transitioning nicely before that happened. hahaha, those idiots on the servers man.... well it is always bound to happen, even with a high SA. With qualy at Austin set at Saturday night (10pm UK I think) let me know if you lot want to maybe do a test session a bit early (like 5-6UK), if not we can see a time when we can all gather next.

I am available Saturday. I am working on my SA rating. I'm almost there...1 point forward, 2 points back.

Providing i’m home I’ll be on the usual time, can never make 5-6pm as I’m most often not around at that time. Hopefully, we can get in with a good bunch at that time. I’m sure there will be others on the server at 5-6pm as well Bryan.

Anyone else going to be on later? Wayne's server works really well and with a bit of luck there will be a decent number on it at our usual time. I'll be joining it even if it's already started at that time as you can still get some useful data and track time is never wasted. Just hope there are no numpties around.
What's everyone's driver ratings currently at now?

SA rating has been up for me a lot in the last two weeks, somehow in the few races we have done haven`t had a big crash, spin or contact with any other driver an that has helped massively, currently at 49. Matt I strongly recommend you to go to a lobby and try do an hour long clean race, with qualy included. Try and give a lot of room to fellow drivers in the first laps (low SA rating people on lobbys are very aggresive at the starts) and pick your pace from there. Consistent times and safe overtakes will do wonders for your rating, even as high a +10 if you do a very good session. Hopefully we can see you at next Saturday entering to Waynes lobby. I have added you on Xbox, my gamertag is CSBryan so when you see us don`t hesitate and enter our chat room

Agree entirely with what Bryan said in respect of your rating. The only downside is the way the game doesn’t distinguish between the victim and the person causing an incident when apportioning blame. Last night I had my rating drop 4 points for two incidents that I had no way to avoid. First one the guy stopped dead right in front of me so I went into his rear and the second the car ahead got sideways, went off track and then came back on right in front of me, I went right to try avoid him but he carried on that way and we had contact. It’s frustrating as hell when those things happen but the clean race I had afterwards had the rating back up again.
The AI races really can help too providing you have the level correct, too high and they’ll run away from you and too low you run away from them. Either will see your rating not improve nearly as much as when you have much closer racing. The AI are also less unpredictable in their actions then some humans.

2 points away.(23) As of Sunday Morning. I have been concentrating on quick races. I have been doing some reading about the "penalty" imposed for contact not of your instigation. The system may say you are being penalized but you do not always get negative results. It's more like you are being told that the Stewards are looking into it. You can still achieve a top score in SA even if you are involved in accidents. traxion.gg/how-the-driver-ratings-in-assetto-corsa-competizione-work/This page does a good job of helping understand. There of course are others that help describe the entire rating system as well. Your help and suggestions are spot on with what I am currently trying to improve. Thanks. Out of the last 5 races set at 90/90 for the AI. I've had 4 top 5s with 1Win. I have my starting spot set to 13th. It's about time to boost that AI setting again. Thanks for helping explain that Pete. I decided to mix it up the other night. Took out PC 2 and took the BMW LMR for a spin around Silverstone. Nothing pertinent gained, but it was a fresh perspective on an increasingly familiar track. Cheers

My experience is that most times you are involved in an incident you get penalised. Lost 4 points yesterday almost immediately.

My experience is that most times you are involved in an incident you get penalised. Lost 4 points yesterday almost immediately. That makes this whole thing even more confusing. I had 2 incidents in one race and gained 2 points. Both times I was taken out by cars jumping curbs. Then I go on a half lap battle with Luca Stoltz wheel to wheel, and don't get a single point.
