Based on what we experienced at Long Beach, the Indy Car tires on PRI were running around FR Cold .92/Hot 1.23 RR Cold .88/Hot 1.20 ALT were about the same, but didn't last very long and fell off quite rapidly when they started to go.

Have you compared between offline and online Pete? Just wondering whether there is any difference in the temps between the different modes. I have hardly run the Primary tyre tbh, only one short spell of a couple of laps on Saturday when the pit crew put them on for some reason, I may have inadvertently changed them when trying to access the various pit strategy menus . The Alternates are good for half the race so just a change to fresh rubber at the pit stop required based on my tests.

A slight difference. Mainly it just takes a while for them to heat up in Practice. For tires I always use TT for temps, and/or Race in Custom race with about 12 AI to simulate a real MP lobby for the physics. The tires start off warmed and come down a little bit after 1 or 2 laps.
I liked the ALt better, but the others were saying they fell off quickly, so I switched to PRI and was going to pit at 15 laps for F & T.
I find it very aggravating to practice, practice, and practice, only to get to the actual race and the car handles differently. So, I just use a Custom Race without Practice or Quali and go straight to Race and tune there. Sort of cumbersome for sure, but less surprises in the end.
The only other thing is that the AI are so stupid, I have to find a spot on track where they are not around so they don't bump me around, especially at a track like LB.
