Just run the start of a practice race and oh boy is this place tight with other cars around. I found I wasn't able to match my full fuel practice times under the race conditions with the official start time but had a decent level of consistency. Definitely need to be careful when following another car though, so easy to understeer into the wall especially off of those two kinks onto and off of the start/ finish straight.
Should definitely be an interesting race. Good luck everyone.

Congrats Pete on your maiden victory, really pleased to see that Thought you had lost it in those last few minutes!! Great racing guys on a really difficult track, really good to see everyone doing so well despite some issues for most of us. Need to go back and look at my recording to see what went wrong at my final stop, looked like I was in with a good chance of a podium despite losing so much time after my early spin... bloody wrong tyres are proving the bane of my season on these ovals :/

Another lap or 2 and I would have taken it. I'm just as happy for Pete because he really deserved that as well as needed it, he drove great all night! It wouldn't have been as good if I won here (for the spectacle of it all) though so i'm really glad with the outcome. I did my best but Pete still snatched away what could have been my maiden IndyCar victory! I am proud of our Andretti Autosport 1-2 finish! Well done!

Good drive Dean, you were up there throughout and when I saw Pete hit the wall 3 minutes from the end I thought the win was going to be yours. Good second place regardless. I haven't actually been putting together a team table so I'll look at doing that on Monday at work.

Thanks, really appreciate all the kind words! I really wanted to get the whole picture in this time, because I had been plagued with this error and that error to the point where I almost was going to give up.
But after spending most of Sat morning tweaking the tune for that track, i felt pretty good about it, just being able to go around without any real trouble because the tune was totally stable. Once I settled into my lines, all I had to do was not try to get to aggressive with the drafting. In fact I was lifting to stay far enough away from that looseey-gooseey draft so it didn't throw me off.
I somehow managed to do the pits without a DQ, and the pit crew did what they were supposed to do. I don't think I personally could have driven even that well without the SRT set up tools. The Ride Height and Shock Speed Histogram analysis is worth it's weight in gold.
RD AMER should be fun too!

Great win Peter well driven. The only accolade I can take from this race was the most new cars crashing 3 times 🙈 Looking forward to seeing the highlights vid 🏎

Firstly I’d like to say well done to Hammer for his pole, Shneeb for his win and Sgt F1 for his podium. Also a big welcome to Nate it’s good to have new members to race against.
Some how I managed to rescue defeat from the jaws of victory as I had a bad fast car in race trim. Firstly once I got past Hammer I had a great run up till my stop were I’d forgotten to up the fuel value so I needed to pit for a second time. This wouldn’t have been too much of a issue but I lost the car round the back of Turn 2 on my in lap making that a mega long stop. I think I came back out in 4th or 5th and managed to work my way back up to third some of it genuine passing some of it due to other crashing. I had another spin when Nate lost it and I spun in avoidance this time not hitting the wall. I think with out that I’d have been right up with Sgt at the end though with Shneeb having a late race moment I managed to get back on the lead lap.
This is at least the 3rd race I’ve made some sort of error which I feel cost me a potential win, still it’s all part of racing. Looking forward to the next race, Road America should be fun.

DOH!!😪 My phone replay of the onboard footage wasn't good enough alone so I scrapped it, my bad. I won't miss the next one, especially because it's my home race!

I’d like to add my congratulations to Pete on his maiden victory in our series and Sarge making it an Andretti 1-2, quite a result fellas, my race was a tale of woe from start to premature finish, qualified in P6 about 6 10ths from pole, had an average start and ran in the midfield for a few laps until I followed Nate off and had the 1st of my huge shunts, limped back to get the LH corner bolted back on, ran some fairly competitive lap times until about lap 40 when I had the mother of all offs in turn one and cane to rest on the Roll Hoop and into retirement. Road America is a great circuit and I’m looking forward to another exciting race.
Well done to each of you for making this series what it is and I hope we can go from strength to strength in the future
Dave

According to Google maps, I live 2 hours and 12 minutes from Road America! I almost think we should take off for the second week of the vintage F1 League (instead of a non-Championship event) just to practice for RA! Love that track! I've unfortunately never been to the Circuit... Aww shucks Karl! You and Shneeb are like my sneaky rivals now; always getting me from out of nowhere! It doesn't feel right when you're not there!
