I just got in a few laps here, not clean whatsoever mind you, lol and my flying lap was around 10:24 or something like that.
Boy, am I glad it's every other week events as I start muscle memory work with my feet using the new clutch pedal.😪 I've mostly got myself retrained using it smoothly but I definitely wouldn't have been ready for a race yesterday, especially here! It's so much more fun to drive vintage cars with clutch and the shifter that actually works with my wheel finally. When I miss a gear I no longer have to pretend I messed up, by letting off the gas for a bit lmao.

SO 10:24 is the first target Good news on the new gear Tyler, how are the pedal;s in general in comparison to your old ones. You had the Spider didn't you?

If anyone wants to do any group practice I'd be down. I love this track and I'm so glad it's being used in a series. Pretty much all my laps around here recently are in Assetto Corsa, but I did do 1 Time Trial lap in the Type 25 and set a 10:02.

I am busy preparing for Singapore in F1 2018 so won't get to this until Monday but I am looking forward to seeing how this car fares on that mega track. SO 10:24 is the first target Good news on the new gear Tyler, how are the pedal;s in general in comparison to your old ones. You had the Spider didn't you? Yeah I had the standard spider pedals (well, still do). The T3PA are nice, adjustable and definitely an upgrade from what I was using before. It came with a rubber break stopper mod made of metal that really gives them a real feel. The part of the pedals you touch with your feet are metal too. PCARS did a much better job making the clutch work like it should in game than Forza did. It still has a ways to go yet though. I recommend getting the T3PA Pro set if youre thinking of upgrading Peter because they can be inverted and they're even more adjustable than the ones I have My average time in pre-season testing was 10:07, much closer to Greg's time. When I practice and anyone else is on, i'd be more than happy to join ya!

Also I had the 2-pedal set with the Spider, the TMX came with the T3PA, and I upgraded to the T3PA PRO when I got the TX. Get the Pros if you can. Tyler, now you need to practice hell/toe shifting. It took me a couple of weeks to get it down. If you grab a vintage Group A, heel toe becomes a necessity to rev match. Not sure if it impacts my track times, but I enjoy the extra level of challenge.

Glad to hear that man! I've been working on heel and toe but definitely could do better, do you keep your heels planted in one spot? I noticed I move mine around a bit, is that not a good thing to do? I have a tendency to slide the rear of the car slightly sometimes when i'm downshifting (I think because the revs were still too high). Anyways, i've returned to almost my normal pace with a 10:03.7 last night in practice, which is very close to Greg's time. If I don't make any mistakes I know I can improve that time further, that GP section throws me off a bit because it's different than the rest of the track.

Remember, the old pits aren't there in just the Nürburgring Nordschleife track in Pcars2 for some odd reason.🤨 Otherwise the GP circuit wouldn't need to be included.

I just had to include the Nordschleife somehow in our seasons and this was the best way unfortunately. It wouldn't feel right without the mega track.

First few laps tonight with a best of 10:10 something in private testing mode. Lots of wiggle room with that time and a few more laps under my belt. That modern part takes around 2 minutes and feels so wrong in this car but the rest flows very nicely.

There's only going to be 4 or 5 of us so anyone who finishes would earn points. Maybe we could add a 10-15min practice or just have a 30min qualfying session. I almost forgot about the lap times.

Managed to get in my second session last night.. a quick Time Trial session with a best of 9:59.098 and then went straight to a race (couldn't be arsed with having to do a whole 10 minutes outlap lol) and just did the opening 3 laps before I had to hit the sack. First lap was 10:10, not bad considering the standing start, second lap was 10:02 including a spin just after Wehrseifen which cost me about 6-8 seconds but was just a spin onto the grass so no damage and then finished with a 9:57. I haven't got my 5th gear set right still and lost some time down that final long straight when switching up from 4th to 5th so have to look at that (shortening it just a click I hope will do it) which will probably take another second or so off the time.
That lap with the spin was probably the best lap i've ever driven here if you take that little error out of it. Just felt so in the zone.
Such a lot of fun driving this track, when you are on it there's such a great flow to it with each corner joining so perfectly with the next section. Love it. It really is just about driving it cleanly though and that's where I sometimes struggle as I love to push it around here and that can catch you out. Take bad damage anywhere in that early part of the lap and you might as well call it a day as it's just too long to get the car around for repairs.

I don't think there's any point adding an extra session tbh Tyler as you just have to do another damn outlap lol I don't mind if an extra 10 minutes is added to quali although it will only allow you one extra lap and quali is not really that important here but the extra practice may be handy for some. But how does it work if someone only just starts their lap before the 10 minutes is up? Do we then have to then sit waiting until they finish that lap before we can get going to the race or is there a countdown after the quali 30 mins is up so we aren't just sat waiting around?
