Sorry guys. Sorry Tyler. This car baffles me. Can't drive straight, all 3 crashes on the back straight. 15 laps down, decided to retire. No need to apologise Greg. It's a tough car and was only designed for Indy really so this track was really putting it through something completely opposite to that. It's really all about taming the backend, getting the gearing right and not over inflating the tyres. My pressures were at 1.18 all round and allied with max negative camber, higher than usual ride height and a high rear arb this kept the car nice and stable with good grip through the banking. It's not a track or car that you can afford to have to fight with. Also it's important not to have your FFB too high,it needs to be fairly light to give you maximum control and make gentle corrections. Let me know how you get on in your early practice for Indy and if still having problems i'll chuck a setup your way to try 👍

Thankyou for taking the time to join us each week. We had 3 retirements tonight and I was all over the track when racing with Pete so I can confirm that I don't get this car either. I've had to alter the the way I drive and think about racing compared to everything else we've done so far. I definitely can't wait to get back to F1 but i'm still enjoying the challenge of Vintage indy. I can see why the drivers hated racing on this oval back in the day. How's everyone's left arm/shoulder doing? That was intense 😩

Managed over an hour stable in practice, sure couldn’t get it together in the race though. A little more ride height was in order it seems. Hurt I’ll send you my crapracular setup. It’s decent in the right hands.

With that win, Karl moves into the lead with 180pts. Peter is only down by 10 points, me in third and down by 30.
Team Lotus already has a big head start with 350pts. STP with 220 and Zipanol not too far behind with 190.
3 more events remaining; 3 very different tracks from one another, each with their own unique set of difficulties for this car lol await before the Season 3 Vintage League champion can be crowned. At this point, it can still be anyone's game so keep fighting hard everyone!

Really have to thank my team mate for some spectacular setup work. Glad we don't have a rivalry in the team. I doubt i would have finished the race if i had to use my own setup. Thanks again Peter. Here is the link to my mixer video. I haven't gone through it yet but there was a lot of action in the first half of the race. Then a really close 3 way battle at the front. This car is proving to be the most physically difficult one to drive in the game. It really takes it out of you with pretty much no time for respite throughout the race. XRF Formula1 that moment round the final corner where you were trying to set your pit strategy almost gave me kittens lol

Lol sorry about that again, bad driving/communication on my part. I panicked when trying to change what to fix, keep it steady, and watch the mirrors for you. The result was not what I would have hoped for but it could have been much worse and luckily we both kept it together.
