I will be double checking the results from Texas as it seems the game has recorded them differently in respect of positions 2 and 3. I think Karls' 50 second penalty should demote him to 3rd place and Tyler up to 2nd but I will check my stream tonight.

Round 6, Friday May 24th - Indianapolis Motor SpeedwayIndy Round 6 Indy 500.JPG (159.72 KB) Daz is out on his own still but the battle behind rages with Pete jumping Tyler thanks to the pole and fastest lap extra points to sneak ahead in second and Karl and Greg closing in on Tyler in third place. The season has a lot still to play for

Round 7, Saturday, June 15th - Watkins GlenIndy Round 7 Watkins.JPG (174.6 KB) Daz as expected increases his lead but the battle is really hotting up behind with Tyler retaking 2nd place in Peter's absence and Karl now making the top 3. Just 11 points between 2nd and 4th with Greg only 9 points further adrift.

Daz was on Pole at Watkins Glen mate, I started P3 and Greg was P2 🙂 Ah ok Karl said Dave but guess that was meant to be Daz. Thought you had found a magic formula I have now amended the tables to reflect this.

Round 8, Saturday, July 6th - Texas Motor Speedway (Night)Indy Round 8 Texas.JPG (177.18 KB) Daz of course remains well in front despite missing this race but the gap is now closing as we all prepare for a late run at the Championship The battle for the places behind is really hotting up with my clean sweep here allowing me to leapfrog my team mate Karl and Tyler to put the #7 Schmidt Peterson back in second place with Tylers #83 Chip Ganassi just 6 points adrift. Karl in the sister Schmidt Peterson is just 12 points further back now but Greg's early exit has pushed him a little further behind with some ground to now make up to get back into the top 3 hunt. Dave's #9 Chip Ganassi has had a solid couple of races to see him close the gap to Greg and also keep the Schmidt Peterson team honest in the chase for the manufacturers honours.

Round 9, Saturday, August 3rd - Road America Indy Round 9 Road America.JPG (184.94 KB) With Daz's lead now at 102 points he has almost secured the Championship... just taking pole at the next round at Sonoma will be enough for him to take that title. It's still all to play for behind though as Tylers late pit stop for fuel see's him fall a few extra points behind myself in second place while Karls DNS leaves him a further 24 points adrift. Greg and Dave have unfortunately fallen a little further out of the running following their DNF's but there's still a long way to go and lots of points up for grabs before the final flag falls.

Round 10, Saturday, August 17th - SonomaIndy Round 10 Sonoma.JPG (195.7 KB) So despite Daz's non-appearance the results of this race mean that Daz is now officially crowned Console Racing Forums 2019 Indycar Champion Well done Daz, a thoroughly deserved championship, you've certainly been the class of the field throughout. The battle still rages behind though with Tyler's second place and pole position closing the gap down to just 4 points from myself. Karl's victory brings him back into the picture just 26 points behind me in second and 22 behind Tyler in third. Dave has now closed to within 20 points of Greg so 5th place is still uncertain. All still to play for as we head off to the speedway at Daytona!!

Round 11, Saturday, September 14th - DaytonaIndy Round 11 DaytonaJPG.JPG (211.9 KB) With the Championship already decided the fight for second place continued at Daytona. The extra points for pole and fastest lap becoming ever more important and claiming both of them plus finishing ahead in the race means a solid 17 point lead for me as we head into the season finale at Laguna Seca. With Karls win now closing the gap to 12 points behind Tyler he can still make the championship podium if things go his way at Laguna.

Round 12, Saturday, November 9th - Laguna SecaIndy Round 12.JPG (246.12 KB) So the season is finally over and with Daz having already secured the championship it was all down to the tier 2 title in this one lol. Tyler needed a big result and bad finish from me but it wasn't to be and despite the second place finish my following him home secured second place by 14 points. With one win a piece and 9 podiums for Tyler against 8 for me it really came down to the bonus points and with my having secured 4 poles at the ovals and 3 fastest laps against Tylers 1 and 0 that was the deciding factor. Karl battled valiantly against the steering problems he had on most of the road\street courses and finished in 4th place with a couple of victories to his name and 8 podiums and Greg and Dave closed out the top 6. A very fun and challenging season so well done to all participants, it was very gratifying to see such a strong grid for the final race. Let's hope this is a continuing trend that we can carry into the new season in March. Well done all

Well done to all our friends that took part in our 2nd Indycar championship, I’m always a little disappointed that we don’t get the driver support that I think this series deserves but then I’m blown away by the professional attitude, sense of community and increasing levels of skill shown in each of you and I thank everyone who has raced, supported our league.
Cheers
Dave
