Good event guys. Very impressive win Karl, that was not an easy track for this car.
I watched the beginning of the replay to see what happened between me and Peter. I had thought that I had caused it but it was literally just a racing incident. I was holding the outside line and going off on the kerbs slightly when Peter went wide and we collected eachother, damaging my suspension and ending Pete's race. Shitty luck mate, i'm sorry and felt bad all race about that.
Something also happened to Matt around lap 20, he was in the pits for a couple laps and then left the session. Dispite all that, I had some fun and still managed a good finish.

Afraid I saw it slightly different Tyler. But I'm not in the right mindset to go over it now so will revisit it after i've hopefully had some shuteye and am not so pissed at just one lap after all that practice.

We're going to need everyone's thoughts on this.
I'm really sorry I ruined your race Peter, next time we'll have to do another restart. I didn't see you and am happy to take some sort of penalty for the incident if everyone thinks that I caused it:

No i'm not looking for any penalties to be considered Tyler, it's done and they don't change anything and wouldn't make me feel any better, I still had no race regardless of penalties and I think it looked quite different from your perspective as well. We're cool.
For me I saw you go wide behind Boothy so went underneath you and was going to make the corner just running slightly up on the kerb as is common there, and then bang, my wheel was gone!! It seemed from my cockpit that you had tried to get back on track but in so doing turned in on me and the contact took off my left rear. From those views of yours it looks a little different and more like I was almost going straight off track compared to what I saw in my cockpit. Unfortunately I couldn't save the in game replay so only have my live feed. I agree that it was a racing incident and know from racing with you for so long that you always try to avoid any contact so have no issue with you in that respect.
My gripe however is that we didn't just restart as we have done on many occasions in the past when similar things have occurred. When there are just 6 drivers and one is out after just one lap and another is severely hampered by damage that puts them a minute down it just seems obvious to me to restart. If it happens half a dozen laps in then that's a bit different because of the time constraints but when it's so early it's a no brainer for me.
Obviously the fact we start later now perhaps was a factor in just carrying on but I was still confused and more than a little miffed it wasn't considered especially in view of the way we've always done it in the past.
Just to reiterate though no penalties ok. It was just major disappointment having spent a good amount of time getting to grips with this car that my race was over before it had begun. I don't think I would have had the pace to challenge Karl but would definitely have fancied my chances of second place based on the pace everyone else showed compared to what I know I was able to do without taking risks.
Now with Indycar this weekend being postponed there's a long gap to wait before the chance to get it out of my system :/
We definitely need to find a way to get more people on these grids.. so few finishers in the three series this past few days (just 12 overall in three races) is not looking good especially with the gaps that we are seeing between most of the drivers once the early laps are done and dusted.

I completely understand and know what you mean. I apologize again, I feel really bad about that. My thoughts at the time were because we started later, had already restarted once, and you didn't mention a restart that it was too late for one. Could be the cold medicine i'm on too. I just came down with ANOTHER freakin' cold after getting rid of one that my daughter gave everyone including both sets of her grandparents. 🤧
Say that we need a restart next time, i'm not the dictator overlord god of this series (I just come up with the schedule really) and value everyone's opinions.

It's fine Tyler, don't fret over it. Like I said it appears you had a different view of things and didn't even see me until too late. Hence why I decided to not comment last night when my angst was at it's worst as I wondered whether that was the case. I am never particularly comfortable with the person out of the race being the one to request a restart. I believe that should always come from elsewhere. The rules allow for it under the multiple cars involved in an incident parameter as well. The later start time certainly plays a part in the whole restart possibility and as it has not brought in the extra drivers anticipated maybe we should reconsider that. Let's just draw a line under it and move on but with a definitive rule in place for future which we can discuss in the paddock chat area. Wish you better. Colds are a pain.

1- whack it in the rules about lap 1 restarts 2- For me its a racing incident With the track being super wide for these cars. Tyler locks up tries to skirt the kerbs rather then running off track which is credit to him. Unfortunately Pete got the corner correct which takes you out towards the kerb and like two trains heading towards the same crossover point it was extremely unfortunate.
my race was dogshit slow tyre pressures were wrong any time were supposed to be 1.15 but they gave me 1.55 or 1.35 lol which meant overheating alot also buried it in tyre wall uphill twice

Mental note ingrained. When it happens again in the first part of the GranPrix, i'll make sure to ask everyone for a restart, like the rules currently state, regardless of real life time.
I'm more pissed at myself than you probably were. Maybe I just need to relax and have fun with it instead of just trying to win.

Gutted for Peter last night. The incident looks more and more like a racing incident to me, but i also wonder if there was some lag involved as well. I had a couple incidents last night where i felt like i was touched from behind but the car behind wasn't close enough to hit me. And i also had an incident running behind boothy where it looked like he was hit by me (lost the back end) but i wasn't close enough to the back of him on my screen to have hit him. Had great fun chasing down Boothy for the first 11 or 12 laps. I followed him closely for a few laps and was considering pitting to try and undercut him because i didn't think i was going to be able to make a pass stick, but then he had a small mistake out of T4 and i slipped by. I pulled a small gap of 4 or 5 seconds and was trying to manage that, but then he had a bigger incident and the gap grew drastically. I had a fun lap or two around lap 21 with BCK. He pushed hard to try and stay on the lead lap. We had some close fun racing. I eventually slipped past on the straight i think.... he may have just let me go too... i'm not sure. It was fun though. Glad for the win and to get a little redemption from the previous race where i had such a poor showing. I hate Monaco though, so not really looking forward to the next race. I haven't looked at the layout yet, but do we need to cut chicanes or anything like that? Here's my video mixer.com/niblips2?vod=107000801
