Thanks for the clip Greg, good quality upload.
Dispite only having 5 of us I still had fun out there and learned some more about the car. The beginning of the race was a blast as Pete, Karl and I stayed in the draft together for the longest time and it felt like a real race.

Very happy to take the clean sweep of pole positions on the ovals this season with the 5 bonus points helping me in the fight for second place in the Championship. Fastest lap in the race too was an extra plus with the 5 points that brings.
It was fun in places but the problem with so few on the grid is that the result relies so much on being able to stay in a draft. The time differential between drafting and non-drafting is very significant and determines your chances of winning. The best spell was that first stint when Myself, Karl and Tyler were never more than 4/tenths apart and although Greg and Jesse lost touch with us they had their own terrific battle themselves.
After the first stops where I managed to pick up a 50 second.. yes that's right 50 seconds!! penalty myself and Karl managed to stay together while Tyler dropped back and the differential between drafting and non-drafting is shown by the fact that in that 30 lap stint I negated my 50 second pit lane penalty in respect of Tyler.
Having worked up a gap over Tyler of 1 minute 13 seconds (23 seconds to the good when you take away my penalty) his being in the draft with Karl later on while I was out on my own saw that drop to less than 10 seconds so again the power of the draft is very well shown. Luckily for me we all then ended up spread out and I was able to work up more of a gap again over the rest of the race.
I did get a bit bored at times due to the lack of actual racing over the second half of the race with so few cars on track and started messing with the in-car menu at times which resulted in me having a few near misses and resulted in a couple of stops to repair damage. But despite that I was able to hold onto the second place I needed to extend the gap over Tyler for second place in the Championship.
A good win for my team mate Karl to keep him in with an outside chance of third place in the Championship
Here's the video from my race last week:-
