He fractured his fibula playing football and is in a cast for 5 weeks.

This one might get a little boring running around by ourselves. Wondering if we should forego the SC stuff and throw some AI in the mix?

What settings would we do the AI at?

What settings would we do the AI at? I've been running them at 100/20 They keep pace with me and don't make dive bomb moves in the corners. I think Peter and Tyler run their aggressiveness higher at like 40 or 50 but i find when i run them that high they are always trying to send one up the inside in the corners and it gets a little annoying and dangerous. Annoying because they then slow down and you have to repass them only for them to send one up the inside again.

I've been running then at 115/75, they run a decent pace for the most part but they always seem to pit at odd times. A tank of fuel lasts 30 laps here but they pit much before that so must end up needing more stops over the distance. I've only run a single stint so far.
Only problem with AI is that they can do some odd things at times and I think mixed with humans online they get confused.

I'm neutral on adding AI for this one. What if there's a big accident at the beginning of the race? How would we go about resetting without doing another quali run because everyone will be out of order on the starting grid?
When we add AI for F1 next season, i'd like to think of them more as traffic and points blockers rather than the actual competition, so i'm with Karl for the lower aggression setting.

My problem with that is that it seems the lower the settings the more inconsistent they become.
If they are just slow road blocks, especially on an oval I think that's asking for trouble as the speed differential is huge when the level is too low. Is there any real point adding them if it's just to create an inconvenience and potential accident rather than other cars to race?
I'm happy to add them to see how it goes but we are not in a position to restart things if they do indeed cause problems as these races are already very long as it is.
Before the next vintage series if AI are to be included I do think we need to run a couple of tests beforehand to see how they behave mixed with humans online.

The new guy (Jesse) messaged me earlier in the week and he may be able to make it but might not be able to stay for the whole race as he has something he has to go to.

That's part of the problem with using ai...you cant customize the level to match everyone. You also cant organize them for a restart. As for their pitting strategy,it doesnt matter which level they are set to, they always seem to stagger their stops. Some stop early and some go right the fuel limit before they stop.
I'm fine to leave them or add them. It doesnt matter. Might be a good time to test them if there aren't many of us on track.
With F1 the ai have typically been aggressive and unpredictable so we never use them. Sometimes guys quit out and their car is taken over by AI.

We had setup for the music gig done at 1pm so I'll be able to do the entire race granted it ends sometime before 8pm Eastern Time.

In my practices before today and today, I've found out that trying to go to the apron while still barely in the corner will, uh, send my car flying. 🤔
