The benchmark time is set in dry conditions and about 2/3 of the race will be dry. There's still time to get a little bit of a handle the car so try not to stress. Take it nice and slow until you learn the circuit with the car and keep a consistent pace. Don't push, you'll notice the speed will come in time. Slow and steady is better than fast and inconsistent with these beasts. Appreciate the advice , it’s a load of difference to F1 2019. Setups are going to be interesting... Yeah very different Mikey. Much more challenging and a hatful of setup options to play with. The changing weather is also a completely different kettle of fish compared to F1.

Even if you can't come to terms with the 49C in the final 4 races of the season, stick around. We'll be running the Lotus 72D next season shortly after which is a huge difference especially because we'll be able to use the slicks for the first time. It's aerodynamics have evolved quite a bit from the 49C. I did some testing in the 72D a few weeks ago, it behaves much more like a modern car and it’s fairly easy to setup. I’m envious as I’d love to race in that series but I’m sure you’ll love peddling it 🙂 Maybe it's time we mold the IndyCar into the Vintage / vise versa, or change the day of the races or something. We need all the drivers we can get!

We could look at Racing the 98T in a historic world championship further down the line in the future on a Sunday night 🙂

Yeah what Greg said. It's just a handy reference to give us all an idea of a respectable time. Be warned though Tyler's benchmarks in this 49c series are often beyond the rest of us lol. He's also often 2-3 seconds faster then that cos he's a sandbagger. He'll qualify 3rd-5th then absolutely bum everyone in the race

A peddler is motorsport slang for driver, it comes from when children used to race pedal cars.

Big thanks again to the new drivers, you helped make it seem more like a race. Don't feel discouraged as these do take a lot of practice to get the feel for.
Well done Neale on the 5th place finish, especially being your first time out with us. Trust me, they get easier to drive the more you do it.

That was a good time last night. Extremely surprised to be on the front row and very happy to finish on the podium. It's so much better with more people on track. Hopefully the F1 guys will return.
Someone had asked if I got my pace because Tyler had given me his setup, and I said no. I do owe credit to Tyler. He gave me his setup however I found it to have too much understeer for my liking. I did however keep his gearing which has been GREAT all season.

Thanks mate, I enjoy putting them together and take some pride in it too as it's one of the only things i'm decent at lol.
Yeah those tyres, the slicks we'll be able to use next season are the difference between night and day with the Lotus 72D. The vintage are actually the wet weather tyres and the track type is the modern tyre that didn't exist yet in 1970.

Just user a third party app on your phone or tablet. I and several others here use rsDash and I think Tyler uses SimDashboard. rsDash keeps a log of your aces and lap times and also has some other really useful telemetry functions.

Like Pete said I use Sim Dashboard on my old phone which is velcroed to my wheel so I can remove it.
For FFB settings I use almost exactly what the simgirl uses for her settings on the P.Cars2 forums. For the configuration settings I have all the deadzones at 0 and everything else I left alone. This is what I use for FFB so far for the cars i've driven:
Flavour: Raw Gain: 98 Volume: (Lotus F1 Cars)19, (IndyCar & Nascar)21, (Touring Car & Formula X)16 Tone: 90 FX: 30 Menu Spring Strength: 0.20
As far as looking to the left/right there is an option where you can set the camera to be inside the driver's helmet and set how far he looks/leans into the apex. I have mine off because that was really me turning my head lol
