Not down to you Tyler so no need to apologise. It was too late to restart for a third time and no guarantees it wouldn't have happened again to anyone of us. Wouldn't be fair to do anything other than classify the race as complete. Lessons to be learned going forward, larger grids are always good to see but the unknown factor(s) can always cause unexpected issues. Really crap you have been taken out twice in 3 corners, this is not how we should race in any of our races. I always lift of my throttle 20 meters earlier than my braking point when driving behind someone, overtaking on the acceleration part coming out of a corner is much easier than overtaking under braking. Even the pro's mess up those kind of overtakes more than they are willing to admit, we as fun drivers should be racing smart and just wait for that little mistake that everyone is going to make eventually. I agree with Tyler that some sort of racing school should be done if people want to join, specially now with sim racing being hot and PC2 being free to play. Was lucky myself you guys let me drive the WEC series as a newbie, but I bet I wouldn't stick around if I would mess up the race or my race would be ended after turn1. Yea i'm the same Joeri, on the opening laps when we are all so close you just have to be ultra careful. Especially on a high speed circuit like LeMans. I've watched back the race replay of that incident and I have no doubts it was nothing malicious just over-zealous driving trying to make up a place early on and badly misjudging where that move was going to put his car as he went round that fast right kink. I had a nasty feeling someone was going to come a cropper again and it's just unfortunate for me that I got it both times!! I have no hard feelings and have no problem with anyone coming back to race after what happened but just a bit more caution is called for especially as this is a championship that we have worked hard for and incidents like that can have a massive effect on it. I admit I was fuming last night but have calmed down now and just need to put it behind me and hope I can compete in the upcoming races and make up for the points loss.

I'd like to apologize to the regulars, especially Tyler. My head has just not been in it the past few weeks. Sorry for letting the team down here and in the GTE. As Peter said it's really tough to put in the practice and then crash on lap 1. Although, unlike Peter, my wreck was my own stupid fault. I was following the lead 3 into the Porsche curves when Oxy and Sean (or whoever they were) popped into our party chat. In the split second I looked down to see whos names had just joined I completely missed my breaking point for the turn in and locked it up into the outside wall. Totally my fault, not blaming those guys, just my stupidity and being easily distracted. At that point my rage level was at like 1000% and it was tough for me to concentrate after that. After pitting I wrecked again exiting the 2nd Mulsanne chicane and blew the engine up trying to make it back to the pits. I'll be back and hopefully with my head screwed on correctly.

I can feel your pain on it with something like that. Nurburgring was particularly bad and you can see it in the last lap vid of me and Micko..hot mics cutting in and out nonstop, so those names are constantly flashing in the screen. Very distracting.lol

My only thought would be to implement some sort of pre-race test/practice system for new sign ups. It would have to be a different day than race days. That way they can learn the ins and outs of how we do wheel to wheel racing, the game itself, and see for themselves if they really want to do it. But then again, who really wants to set one of those lobbies up? I know I don't feel like doing it Good points. IMO the easiest way is to have someone vouche for a new driver. That's what I did with CPRacing, the LSR guys, and LMR Visceral. It's particularly important when we get someone from social media. For those not up to speed, there are practices going, in most time zones,at least once every other day. There is no shame in saying "this guy isn't ready yet." Another alternative is having a minimum Safety rating for new guys. F is still very low, but it at least shows a little bit of understanding on driving safely.

I hardly ever race online on Project Cars, outside of races with the people from here. Tried 4 races, 3 were a big shitshow of people crashing others out of the race. That was the reason for me to search for some people to race fair with and found this forum.

Having someone vouche and then having the new players put who vouched for them is the cleanest and easiest way I think. Without that, it's tough to do unless the new guy has a solid safety rating.

Greg, don't feel guilty whatsoever man. I completely understand where you're coming from, life hasn't been the easiest on anyone lately. I was gutted for you more than anything, you're one of the forums most respected drivers/members so always remember that. Never feel bad about taking off for a race or two, or for awhile if you need to. I'll admit i've really enjoyed not practicing as much driving lately in trade for playing Halo the Master Chief Collection I'm suprised on how well i'm handling this crisis crap myself, usually anytime anyone from the Government/NWO/UN/Illuminati/Asslicker/ Lying/Bullies/Tyrants/Whatevers speak, I go into rage mode and that was before all of this. I stopped following the virus news like a week or two ago which really helps. Anyways....lol, race report to follow up in a bit

Congratulations Karl on the pole and now with 2 wins in a row. You were gone once I made it past Joeri and were still pulling away, the 0/0 downforce really helped me but it still wasn't good enough to challenge you, great race man. 👍
Team Lotus has once again proven that they're not ones to be messed around with as both drivers are winning multiple times. You'll be on par with Peter at 3 wins in a row if you win Brands Hatch as well Karl.
After the restart Karl, Joeri and I had a fantastic battle for the lead for a few laps. Then I almost lost it coming around the Virage du Tertre Rouge and fell back a little. Joeri was still right behind Karl in his draft at this time.
Once Karl began to pull away from him I was eventually able to catch up to Joeri. He stayed cold as ice and I couldn't find a way past him especially because he was quicker around the corners. If not for the 0/0 downforce I wouldn't have had the speed to get past him coming down the Hunaudières straight, so thank you and I owe it all to you Karl for sharing the tip with us.
Well done Joeri on the podium, Will for 4th place, Tyler Smith on yet another solid finish, and Ian (Darkrye231) on making it home with the last point.
Thanks again to everyone for participating in the event, here's to a great British GrandPrix for the start of the second half of the season, cheers 🍻

It makes as much backasswards sense as everything else they do. "If you're sick, isolate yourself and we'll do the opposite of that by coming into direct contact with you."

It's a giant steaming pile of horse****. I don't remember which governor essentially said this, but I about fell out of my chair.

This circuit is the only one i've even tried that aero on but because of the long long straights i figured it was worth a shot.
