Q: From WORST,🚫 R: to FIRST, baby🏆
That's the first time i've went from worst to first. I mean, I think i've done it before in the Vintage F1 but there was only like 4 drivers then so that doesn't really count lol. Mr. Tortoise's life story was the key inspiration for my unexpected victory tonight. Like Karl said it's probably because there wasn't too much pressure on me to do well. I don't think it's possible for me to win the championship at this point anyway but it still feels great to win, especially two in a row!
I'd like to point out that I was impressed with your driving tonight Patty, you held me off for quite a long time. What happened to you after your spin? I also had another great fight for 2nd with Will and of course the battle with Peter for the win at the end.
The fuel lasted longer than I predicted it would so I went to lean before my last stop. If I could make it to lap 65 before running out of gas I knew I could take one less stop for my strategy than I had planned. It worked, and I probably didn't need to save as much fuel as I did in the end.
In my opinion, this has been our best season out of all the series we've done so far. The competition is close, fierce, and we have so many talented and deticated sportsmen to keep us going and growing.
Ian, fingers crossed that the problems you've been experiencing subside, because you deserve a better ride.
The last couple of events are still up in the air for me as the birthday bash could end up being rescheduled for one of those dates.

Qualified - 2nd Race -3rd
Quali was a bit up and down for me, prior to the race I had gone to set up some last minute it’s stuff and accidentally deleted my quali set up and I was devastated. I spent the first leg of quali trying to figure out what race set up would give me a good lap and finally at the end managed to almost get as quick as I had been, but first was always outta reach witn liams stupid lawnmower pace.
Race- started as well as it could liam spun over the crest of turn 4 and I happily took the lead I started in the reds and was pushing hard and things were going well I had planned to stop about lap 15 but patty had taken damage and was limping round and on the 2nd to last corner him and Wayne collided and in taking avoiding action I spun and hit the wall. Managed to get back going but I lost a good 7s and had small wing Damage and caused the car to feel shit. I decided to pit early on lap 11 to repair and put the blacks on.
Came in and they said there was a bloody battery issue and kept me sat for an extra 30s. Went out on the blacks and on a not so run in track they were mega tricky but after a while they came alive, luckily just as Big welsh Will was riding my arse 😚 we then had what felt like maybe 10-15 laps having an epic battle on different fuel and tyre cycles and I loved every lap. In fact I stayed out longer then planed as felt I was holding him back on the reds and would help me later.
Came in for 2Nd stop wacked on the reds and went for it again had a faultless 17 laps or so and finally went in one last time for the last stint on the blacks.
The last black stint was amazing the track conditions had completely changed and the grip was crazy good I came out 50s behind Pete and was catching 2-3s a lap and really felt there was a chance for a 2nd or if there was a spin maybe a win. With 10 laps to go I had the lead down to 20s but decided with Karl on the reds behind to drive sensibly and take the double podium for the team.
Who knows wher I would of been without the extra 30s and spin I had early on but that’s racing as they say.
Congrats Tyler for the win the consistent podiums by the team is really paying off it wasn’t that many races ago we as a team were third in the championship and now we have a healthy lead.
Lastly congrats to all that raced tonight thought the driving standard again was immense and the battles including quali are so epic that it makes the races so heart in month and really gives a realism I wasn’t expecting. It’s crazy how these two hr races seem to fly by.
Onwards to Daytona if we can out score the Andretti’s we could possibly clench the championship with a race to go WOW imagine that 😜😜

Quali - 1st Race -7th
Quali was great.
Race was shit and I drove like a Prick. Didn’t change my race set up to start on reds so lost it on the black on the first lap, second lap into turn 2 wiped out the front end and the rest of the race continued to follow the same pattern. Car was awful behind other cars and underivable so every time I caught up to unlap myself I’d end up in a wall. Very frustrating race with promise shown in practice.
Congratulation to Tyler on the win well done Pete and Dan for their podiums

Q 4 R 6
I was pleased to beat my PB in quali with a 16.6 but I felt I had another couple of tenths but couldn’t find that laptime when it mattered.
We had worked hard on our race setup and found some more performance on Saturday morning but we hadn’t run any kind of race sim distance so we went into the race strategically blindfolded. I hadn’t checked that the Formation Lap had been enabled so I was surprised to go straight into the race. As the race went green I held off Will going into T2 and managed to avoid Liams spin which promoted me to P2, the car felt good but I couldn’t stay with Dan who pulled away by 6 or 7 tenths per lap, I pitted 3 laps after Dan as I hoped to close the gap with some quick laps and after the stop I had pulled back 3 or 4 seconds, the black tyres felt good and I remerged just in front of Will, I started to build the gap until I span going over the crest resulting in damage and a lengthy pit stop, only to repeat the same mistake a few laps later. I decided to stick to the reds as they felt much better and I could push them harder, I was running 7th behind Liam but he had some issues and I passed him in the pits. Even though I was a few laps behind I could race with everyone and I managed to drive up to the back of the lead cars and saw some incredible battles. So despite my 2 unforced errors I was pleased with my race, the car was fast and I felt I’d had a decent race and without those shunts I should have been further up the finishing order. But a very enjoyable and challenging race.
Our team has really delivered in terms of podiums and race wins and we’re proud to be in the lead of the team championship and huge congratulations to Tyler for his stunning drive from the back to win the race, Pete for 2nd and Dan picking up another podium in his rookie season. We know that if we have a good result at Daytona and other results go our way then we can clinch the championship with 1 race to go but that’s not in our control.
Lastly, this has been by far our most competitive, exciting and demanding Indy series, we have an incredible championship and that is down to the caliber of the drivers in our league, so congratulations to everyone that’s taken part.
Cheers
Dave

Q 7th (I think) R dnf
Qualifying I had such a nightmare leading up to this race I was expecting to be well off the pace but I felt I did quite well for me during qualifying so I was fairly happy with my time going into the race.
Race Well that went to shit fairly quickly. I had quite a nice start and felt fairly good on the first few laps keeping within arms reach of the mid pack but I got too confident and decided to leave my front wing in the barrier. after a long pit I decided to just take it slow and see if I can capitalise on others mistakes. After a while of constantly slow laps I caught up with patty crawling back to the pit with damage. I went round the outside on the 2nd from last corner felt like I made I nice move but on the exit I just touched the grass, that spun me round instantly and left my front wing in the side of patty’s car. After that pit stop I just couldn’t get the car to work and I was well off the pace spinning all over the shop and running wide on most corners. So instead of continuing to be a hazard to you guys I decided to drop out and give you guys a nice clean track to race on.
I’m massively impressed with the pace you guys had and how well you all got on with the track. It was definitely a bogey track for me, the heavily 3 dimensional nature of this track was really challenging me.. Now it’s time to put this track behind me and move on to the next one 👍
