Q: P9 R: P7
What a crazy rollercoaster ride that one was! I wasn't expecting much from myself but I also wasn't expecting my race to be over before it even began. First my mic issues caused our team qualifying to completely be ruined, then just before I gained control of the car during the formation lap the AI revved up the engine and I didn't have time to slow down to avoid bumping into Will. Sorry about that. It caused 7% damage to my front wing, a 5sec penalty, and then I pit early to repair it as I lost the draft to the pack. If you have to eat shit it's best to get it over with and swallow it whole.
I wasn't expecting anything after that but I did have a couple of good battles with Will on the track. I lost focus a few times and crashed later on. Somehow I managed to pick up two posistions in the last 20 laps or so. I stopped listening to the comms about half way through so I didn't know what was going on but it looked like some chaos went down. And up.
Nice win Pete, and good to see Wayne on the podium as well. Until next time gents, or next season, I hope to be at weather tech raceway but that's up in the air still.

What a load if crap!
My race was ruined on the formation lap! Just as i take control of the car i got clobbered from behind. I get a 5 sec penalty, aero damage & my engine was screwed the whole race. I couldn’t use 6th gear unless in rich & slip streaming. Im suprised i lasted until lap 170 before parking up in the pits, which then completely screwed Karl over. I am really sorry for that Karl.

Thanks for the congrats Tyler. I had a really solid race but in the interests of fairness I think it only fair that Karl gets the victory here following the pit stop incident. He would have had the victory by approxinately 12 seconds when taking his penalty into consideration without that. I've looked at the race data and he lost over 2 minutes in that pit stop as a result of being held in his box waiting for Will's return. Although Liam also had a similar incident where he was held that was more natural because the other car was being released at the same time and did only equate to an extra 16 seconds based on his other pit stops.
It also evens out the fact that in the second race of the season I gave up the victory at COTA to Liam when he had a coming together with Micko whilst holding a commanding lead. Although I passed him and would have taken the win I allowed him back in front to take it back before we crossed the line.
So that being the case its my view that Karl takes the win hete and those that finished ahead of him drop one place.
I'll be batting the points on that unless thete are any disagreements. Cheers.

Q4 (1 place penalty) R6
Was very pleased to qualify with a PB in 3rd but I was penalized for an accidental pit lane speeding infringement. We’d worked on a good setup for both qualifying and the race and with a great tow from Dan and Liam I set a competitive time.
I managed to keep some tyre temperature on the formation lap and jumped Pat at the start, we’d setup the car to be fast in the draft and behind Dan and Liam it was very quick, on lap 2 we were three wide in T1 but I got a small push mid corner and touched Liam which was unfortunate. I ran in the top 3 for the 1st stint and boxed on lap 29, unfortunately I had a longer stop than planned and I came back out without a tow a began to lose time to the lead group. Although I was a lap or 2 back I had some fabulous racing with Karl and Liam, in the draft the car was very competitive and I had some great strategic battles with Pat and Will. On another day we might’ve been further up the field but overall I was happy with my personal performance and to finish the race with some valuable points for the team.
Well done to Karl, Pete and Liam, strong race from you all and it brings the constructors championship to a nice climax at Laguna in 2 weeks.
I’d like to thank everyone that’s taken part this season, the competitiveness and professionalism of you all is remarkable and I’m proud to be a part of this amazing championship.
Cheers
Dave

Cheers Dave Don't forget Wayne who had a really strong race too and finished ahead of his teammate here We only raced directly in the first stint but he was always the one that was on my radar and challenging but after that first stop where I didn't take on tyres the gap was always between 10 and 17 seconds. Enjoyable racing.

Q p2 R P3/4
Quali went really well got a great tow and just missed out on P1 setting a PB by a country mile. I got the jump on Dan off the line, not sure if that was a good thing now looking back. Me Dan and Dave went 3 wide and 3 into 1 corner didn’t go and I got a little love tap and sent me round dropping to the back. I span to the inside and I have no idea how but came out with no damage apart from a cracked screen. From then on it was flat out as I didn’t have a toe just to keep in touching distance. The rest of the race I spent in lean most of the time and managed to find a toe from Patty then Dave and Dan, my aim was to avoid the final splash and dash and jump the cars in front. It was a solid recovery race the car felt good and the plan would have worked perfectly being 2 laps down from Karl I would have skipped the last stop but due to Karl misfortune I was on the lead lap and had to splash and dash. I am more than happy for Karl to take the win it was sown up if it hadn’t been for his pit issue. Well done to Karl, Pete and Wayne their podiums. It’s going to be a nail biting final round.

Q - 7 R - 1?
Our setup really wasn't as good in quali as we had thought. By the time it was half over it was clear we were not going to have a shot at pole.
The race start was pretty smooth considering. We have had some crazy starts on ovals in the past but the first lap went well. The second lap was 3 wide going into T1/2 and i think Liam got caught in a spin then putting him behind almost from the start. That should be in my video below. Our setup was really great here, again thanks to my teammate Peter's ability with oval setups. Our pit strategy also helped save some time. We managed 2 stints on each set of tyres and went through the last 2 full stops without changing them. I maxed out the rad position and ran my engine pretty hot for the whole race. I knew it would be close to dead at the end. It was at 92 so not much more to spare. My race went pretty well after the innital first laps of traffic. Once i was out front it was pretty easy to stay there , especially with the odd tow and push here and there from others. Wayne's car seemed to be set up perfect to run in my draft and the push i received from him had us doing mid 37s at times. I had two partial stints with him and it helped him take that 3rd position i think. Dave also had a good setup to run in my draft and we also had a stint where we turned some quick laps. Without the draft on full fuel i was able to hit low 38s on a full tank. In the latter stages of the race i knew that the 50second time penalty was gonna be tough to beat, but with my TM in P2 i thought he might be able to gap me enough to give me the win still, but just before my final pit stop for the splash and dash of the last 15 laps the gap to him had increased to just over a minute. That meant if we both had clean stops i would still have the gap to him to cover off the 50 second penalty. I thought Liam might have been able to leap frog both of us at the end if he didn't have to stop for a splash and dash as well, but his second last stop was on lap 164 meaning a stint of 36 laps, and i think that was too much.
Forward to 2h17m in the video to see my final stop. The crew finished the tyre change in 7.5 seconds but i was held there for just over 2m making my stop an extra 113seconds long. Discounting my 50 second penalty I should still have had a comfortable gap to Peter in P2 after he stopped. Will had no idea that it was going to affect my stop I'm sure.
The opening few laps are pretty exciting to watch, that's at about 18m30s into the video

Q 6th R 3rd (after adjustment)
Qualifying went to plan for me. Started off on a setup that worked on a clear track to set a good first time. After that I slowly stretched out the 6th gear to utilise a draft. I gradually decreased my time but near the end of the session I just couldn’t find a good tow so although I feel I could have gone faster I was happy to start from 6th
Race started off very mad, there was a lot of chopping and changing for position and I just tried to sit back and stay safe, after a few laps I could see the lead group braking away so I made a tight overtake and pushed on to bridge the gap. After that it was just a little give and take with Dan and Liam at pit stops but generally it was uneventful until the last couple of stints when I kept finding Karl and with my car working really nicely behind his I sat there and used the tow for as long as I could to try and keep a gap to the guys behind. It’s a shame he ran into a pit stop issue because I really liked using him as a tow haha but in all seriousness he definitely deserves 1st in this race as he was well in front of all of us and ran a nice clean race.
Well done everyone. The drafting was real clean and tactical and I really enjoyed myself, it must have been the lack of right hand turns they helped me with this one as I’m not normally this high up.
