Q 7 S 6 F 5
Firstly I’d like to congratulate and thank everyone for taking part, we are building a very professional and strong racing series and that’s down to the quality of the drivers and teams competing, keep up the great work.
Qualifying. We had worked on a quick and well balanced car but even with a PB I couldn’t get any further up the grid than 7th.
Sprint We knew we had a good race car and the initial launch was good but couldn’t make it count due to the narrow nature of Monaco, with some great driving we all made it through the opening corners and I felt that I could begin to challenge the cars in front, but coming out of the tunnel I gave Ian a slight opportunity which resulted in contact, racing incident so no blame proportioned. Rejoined after a quick stop for a new front wing in a tight battle with Wayne and Pete, staying in range of Pete hoping for a mistake which came my way in the closing stages when Pete had an off at Rascasse, I set about closing in on Wayne but he was just out of reach but was promoted to 6th when Wayne disconnected. Had hoped for better but I felt I drove quite well with very few mistakes.
Feature I thought that the formation lap procedures worked well and the grid formation looked great, got a great launch but Hannes didn’t get as good a start and I hit him pretty hard which caused the Red Flag, the 2nd start was better and we got away cleanly until Ian span going into Casino causing a big crash, clearly our Safety Car procedures need some attention as some were defiantly disadvantaged by this so we’ll take that onboard. Pitted for repairs and rejoined the race in P8, began to settle into the race, we’d planned for a 1 stop with a long 1st stint and as the race played out I worked my way up to P3 but Pete was closing in very quickly and my tyres were way past their best and I boxed with 21 minutes left. Car felt good on new tyres and I pushed hard to make the new rubber count, with the top 4 all battling I was hoping to pick up any pieces if there was an incident but in the end I couldn’t close the gap to Karl in P4.
Many congratulations to Liam for his Sprint Race win and to my Teammate Dan for the Feature win, well done to all the podium finishers and everyone who raced in a very challenging and competitive race. And lastly big thanks to our Broadcast team who have given us an opportunity to race in front of an audience.
Cheers
Dave

Q 10 S 8 F 7 Qualifying. Didn't expect to qualify any higher really. Though somehow I always loose some time between my practice sessions and race day. Sprint. A lot of rookie mistakes in this one. Got through some carnage in the beginning only to get my car stuck in the cranny in the Grand Hotel Hairpin. Was running decent and realized I was gaining on Pete and Dave. Both crashed in the Grand Hotel section. I made it by Dave but ran into Pete. Took me way too long to reverse out of that, rookie nervousness... Dave passed me again and to my surprise I had hardly any damage and I could have gone on in position 6 because Dave had to pit, but I had to throw the car away right before pits... At the very end I had another touch with the wall and should have gone into pits. But it was nearly the end and I stayed out. My apology to Dan, this caused him to crash into me and loose two positions. I think there was another incident in the beginning where I caused Dan trouble. Big apology to Dan and please all know that I am learning from all of this and will act better and more considered in the future. Feature. There was a lot of chatter at the start and the starting command wasn't very audible (same at the restart, I think pole has to be more bold ). I missed the start completely, really. I didn't even realize Dave hit my back... After the restart Ian spun at Masenet. I nearly squeezed by (too late to brake) but didn't. When practicing I realized I could not handle race distance fuel load so I opted for 15 laps fuel and two refueling stops. When I got my repairs I refueled and at my scheduled first stop so I was running 30 laps of fuel instead for two stints. I re-entered the race in 10th after the VSC. While I was running a bit slow even for my standards I managed to be very consistent and only touched the walls right before my scheduled pit stops when tyres got worn. I found myself in 7th after my last stop and was running still quite well only to get stuck in La Racasse so bad that I had to reverse. Dave came up to lap me. I wanted to move to the right when entering the starting straight to let Dave pass and got lack right then causing me to slam my front right into the wall. I lost my front wing but managed to end the race in 7th just before Ian (i think) caught up. Sorry, long report, but very eventful race. I want to thank all of you for a great race day on such a difficult track. I am very happy to be part of this group of very talented racers that respect each other and try to race as if it was real. Cheers!

Qualy P6 Sprint P3 Feature P6 Q - As usual, having qualifying as the first session results on a green and slippery track. Was aiming for a top 5 time but everybody improved massively from the practice runs of last week (GG boys I like a lot when the pack is close) so a 22.5 put me in 8th position for almost all of qualy. With 2 minutes to go I decided to fully send a lap as there was nothing to lose really, had a semi-decent lap with a great S3 and pipped Dave por P6. Not ideal but that's how it goes. Have to put some more work for it next time. S - Another great start saw me battle even for P4 at the first turn round outside but decided to be smart to avoid an incident so backed out but overtook Karl for P5 and settled there for the first lap. Pete and Dan were having a duel ahead that ended when Pete made a mistake in the swimming pool chicane so went up to P4. Liam(P1) and Will(P2) were in another league in terms of pace but during the first 10 minutes Dan Karl and I were trading times. Dan touched the wall a few times so started to put some pressure on him to try steal P3. Not a great idea as I killed my tyres in the process that left me with 8 minutes to go with Karl right in my gearbox. Tyres were so bad that almost lost the car twice in St. Devote and Karl almost pipped me in the uphill sequence but somehow stayed ahead. With 3 minutes to go Dan had a contact with Hannes and acted quickly to avoid that so I was on P3 still with a lot of pressure. Held my cool with enormous pressure of Karl (including a semi-launch on Mirabeu haha) in the last 2 laps to get an podium. Was really proud of that. F - Formed up in 8th for the(2nd) start. Decent single file start so we all stayed in the same positions until Ian and other guys crashed in Casino Square and everyone behind had to virtually stop on track until the cars crashed moved off the racing line. VSC was damaging for me Liam and Will as we lost 30+ seconds waiting for the track to clear up and then we could´t recover the distance due to the pit limiter. Cars that crashed but got little damage were the winners here as they got even with the pitstop ahead of the 3 of us (not big deal as we will adress the issue next time). Hannes and Artie crashed from their initial positions so was in P4 already on the first 10 minutes of racing. Pete was distancing in P1 and I let Liam went by because he was much faster than me. Dan in P2 touched the wall and broke his FW so for the next 10 minutes I was watching the battle for P2 with him and Liam that was looking for a way to pass. Liam and I were running very slow behind Dan and when he went to the pits we started flying on track trying to catch Pete that was 10 seconds ahead. Pace was really good and was surprised to keep and unleashed Liam in sight (around 3 secs behind). Pace was awesome and at the half of the race a top-3 train was formed. Liam went to the pits first and had some repairs to do so planned to undercut Peter next lap when all of the sudden he spun in the hairpin and suffered some damage as well so located myself on P1 with more than 10 secs ahead of Dan on P2. In this stage of the race I suffered with some audio issues (my Bluetooth earphones were disconnecting from the chat). This distracted me from my driving a little trying to get around in the traffic guessing sides and avoiding the incidents by seeing the map, it was really dificult (not taking that as an excuse for what happened next). Was leading with 20 minutes to go when I made and stupid mistake. Car was lighter so I started to push and touched the barrier where the tree and the little bump is located. Car made a strange wiggle and spun hitting the barrier hard and giving me 42 damage. My race was gone, went to a 2 minute stop and could only recover to P6, a lap down. Saddest moment for me so far in the league, it was mine to loose and there is no excuse. Since I saw Monaco on the calendar knew that it was going to be my weak point. Setting up the car was very difficult and expected nothing in the race. In handsight being annoyed with a 3rd and 6th position and kicking myself for a race lost just shows that it was not a bad effort at all. Very pleased to be figthing with the top guys now on a regular basis, not being far of Liam in terms of pace and defending with Karl behind are encouraging signs. Congrats to Dan for the race win, and on to the next one. P4 in the championship still and all to play for. All in all I am really proud with all the lads that took part in the race in a really professional matter, we all did our best and races were enjoyable with fair racing. I enjoyed racing with you all and like the fact that we are always looking for a way to improve the league. Cheers. - Bryan -

Q-8th S-7th F-8th
Track was very slick all of qualifying and I couldn't finish a lap for the life of me, my first lap was my fastest I'm pretty sure. It was really tight for most of the session from 2nd to 8th but I just couldn't get a full lap together.
In the Sprint I was happy to just ride about and make a smooth, easy race capitalizing on mistakes but out of the tunnel on lap one I made the first of many; everyone braked very early and I did as well, but not early enough. I barely avoided mowing over Dave and thought I had slowed the car enough to be okay but I just barely nipped his left rear and spun him, slowed down to give him the spot but I was way out of it by then. Through disconnects and other incidents I managed 7th and just looked ahead to the feature.
After the issues on the first attempt for the feature I was promoted to fourth and had a great start, making a position in the first corner but up into casino I had to check up for the leaders and lost the rear, I thought I had it saved but t wasn't enough. Cue Ian causing another massive crash. What followed was just another slog of trying to capitalize on mistakes, at one point I was gaining quite well on the field and wit pit stops still going on I had a shot at better positions but I went too hot into casino and caught wing damage. Pitted for fresh rubber to try for the fast lap and just to get through. Right on the last lap I caught up to chueco and Liam and could've had 7th as chueco had no front wing but I couldn't get past Liam in time to make it there so 8th it was.
Luckily no issues with the one S this week, but still a tough one. I'm very sorry for all the issues I caused this week, I'm fully responsible for the bungled caution issues and I'm very sorry for hurting anyone's race. I had very high hopes after last week's practice that I could do well yesterday but I ran out of talent once more. Off to the RBR for the next one, hopefully with a repaired one X and a renewed spirit/drive

Q - 5 S - 4 F - 4
Quali was ok. I set a PB in the session (1:20.8) but that was only enough for P5.
Sprint - race start was meh. Lost a spot to Bryan and that's where i stayed pretty much for the whole of the race. I had a few sniffs at passing, and there was one time where it was almost on because of a slight mistake he made, but in the end i was cautious and didn't risk it.
Feature - ugh. Botched the start causing an extra parade lap. Then the race was red flagged. Start number 2 was a bit better but i got caught up in the incident at Casino and had front aero damage that meant i needed to pit right away. I was under the impression that we were allowed to rush ahead for the pits to get repairs so that's what i did. I didn't overtake any of the damaged cars on the way though. I got the pits pretty much last but my repair was quick-ish and i rejoined the race in P7. After the restart i gained a few spots through attrition and on lap 16 while running P4 i clipped the barrier on the way into the swimming pool section and took heavy damage. the pit stop and repair were long and when i rejoined the race i was back down in P7 again. the middle part of the race was better, but i was still sluggish in the car. My lap times were lower than in my practice race and it took me a while to figure out why. Once i sorted that out around lap 32 i started to push and gain on the front 3 drivers. Dan was in the lead and complaining about damage, and Liam was also complaining about damage. I thought i might have a chance at gaining a position or two and pushed to see if i could catch them. Over the 6 or 7 laps that followed i got right up to the back of the front runners but then had a moment trying to get past Liam out of the tunnel and almost rammed him. A lap or so later i took heavy damage and my lap times fell away. then i took some more damage and limped home in P4 with no front wing.
Congratulations to Liam and Dan for their wins. Shout out to my TM Peter who also scored a podium with a P2 in the feature race. Good points for the team. I look forward to not driving this circuit again for a long time. lol
