I'm happy with that either way tbh. As long as everyone is aware of it then if they don't abide by it they are only cheating themselves really. Fair one, let’s see how it works with Pit Lane penalty on and if it’s inaccurate then we can ask drivers to submit clip evidence of any liberty taking 😆

I agree with Peter. The pit exit is not a part of the racing line on this circuit. The drivers racing need to keep to the left side of the line while racing and the drivers rejoining the race after their pit stop need to keep to the right of the Pit line until they rejoin the racing circuit at the end of the pit lane line. The AI never use it as part of the racing line for that reason as well. You can get a better line into the first corner by using the pit lane as part of the circuit, but in my eyes that's cheating. It's just like cutting a corner. Yes, it happens once in a while, we are not professionals, but doing it every lap should not be allowed.

Just a thought... Make the race weather the same as the TT settings in game.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the game this afternoon, I haven’t done any laps yet so I’m yet to see if there’s any difference. Might I suggest that before we race tomorrow that everyone does a system restart, ie turn off the Xbox and then reboot it, might help with any connection issues.

Hi guys. A quick request from me to try to get together all the information that will be asked for by SMS in relation to the problems we are having getting everyone into our lobbies.
Do you have a Static IP on your Xbox?
Do you have open the correct ports for an open NAT
What are your Ping times?
Are you on an IPv4 or IPv6 connection?
This can all be found in the network settings of your Xbox.
If as many of you as possible can furnish me with that information I can include it with my query.
Cheers.

The general advice is to disable iPv6 as that is what can cause problems with the game for some reason even though Xbox states having both is preferable. I've never had it enabled on my Xbox.

I’ve now disconnected the IPv6, hopefully if we all try this then it may solve our connection issues

Hopefully everyone will check here but I'll mention it in the Xbox group as well. I think Pete (Shneeb) had already done itbut maybe it takes everyone in the group to remove that to improve the connection.
Perhaps we can get a bunch of us together over then next week to treat it out.

With my Xfinity router I can't disable IPv6. I think you have to own (opposed to a lease) a router to be able to select it as on or off. If anyone knows how to disable it, please let me know.

Yeah I remember you mentioning that. Can't you contact the company you lease it from to find out of its possible? Everything i've read points to that as a very real possibility as the cause of the problems you and others are having. I'm able to enable or disable it by going into the router setup do you not have access to that? I've never had it enabled and never have any connection problems. At the very least if everyone can do that and we still have issues we can tick it off and take it back to SMS.

Well, after 3 hours of Google searching and reading, I found out that IPv6 is the XFinity standard, and that you actually need it to run the latest iPhone and iPad versions. Comcast will not turn it off from the office,so the only other solution that I saw people using is to put your existing router into Bridge Mode, obtain another router and run the XBOX thru that with IPv6 disabled.
The only thing that irks me is that this is the only game that I need to do this with.

IPv6 has been the standard for 6 years. It figures SMS wouldn't be up on that. I also have Xfinity, but I really haven't had league issues until this weekend. Once again...this game has so much potential but can't do the basics right. Yesterday in my normal Sunday league I was hosting and everyone was in fine except for stevielow(who most of you know). We attempted multiple lobbies and then when we switched to Stevielow hosting I was the only one who couldn't get in. It's like our two systems would not communicate with each other. We both have good connections and we both had open NATs. We were both having the same issue we all had on Saturday where no rating card would show up. In the end I didn't race...again. Beyond frustrating.

Hi Peter, I have IPv4 & IPv6 45ms ping open NAT. Cannot see any way to turn off IPv6 on my router and don't know if I have a Static IP on my box. Hope this helps

I agree with Hurt, and it might be the IPv6 vs 4 issue, but am I supposed to go buy a new Modem/Router just to play pC2? I might anyway, because it will be better than the Cisco that Xfinity provides. But, it still doesn't explain why I can race as I did yesterday in AC with 14 players from all over the world without even one drop.
And thanks Micko, but the fact that you were not dropping and you have basically the same set up as the rest of us is very puzzling.
My theory is 2 fold. 1. SMS just has some virus bugs that populate thru the game the more you use it, and is different for each user. and 2. SMS is just a bunch of hacks that thought they could make their own game engine better than an established game engine maker could.
Probably why Kunos went to Unreal engine and adapted their physics to it for their newest version of AC.
Or maybe SMS just took the code for P2P from pC1 and thought that that would work with all the new technologies out now.
The fact that SMS has really not said much at all about this P2P issue leads me to almost think that the org is falling apart and will fold soon. The parties at Bandai can't really be happy about dropping sales, customer dissatisfaction, and practically every aspect of the game having limiting functions. All that hype about how great it was to be, and mostly it has been a big let down. I think I might just put it away for 6 ~ 8 months and just play AC.

It definitely is an issue with this game as opposed to others and why this iPv6 potentially causes it I have no idea. If Micko runs iPv6 then it kind of rules it out as he was initially able to connect ok. I think it was only Shneeb, Hurt and Niblips that had the problem.
I just have to assume it's a combination of things that causes a few of our guys a problem and not others. What might be an idea is for all those of us that do not run iPv6 to get together to see how things work out and if successful add in other racers one at a time to see when problems begin to occur.
I really don't want to give up on the game yet but it needs numbers to test properly.

Your "test" idea will show that as soon as a "mix" of IPv4 with IPv6 occurs, there will be an issue with the players in pC2. I saw in another Forum the same test was done and the results were that mixing the two protocal's will result in bad connectivity in pC2.
Obviously something wrong with pC2 coding. And most likely each IP provider in each region handles it in different ways. I'm quite puzzled that some IT guru has not figured out what the issue is with the pC2 coding.
I saw where Patch 5 may drop this FRI, so there may be a chance that something might get improved.... or not. Whatever the issue is, we are most likely not going to ever find out exactly what it was because it has to be very embarrassing to SMS whatever it is.

After hours of Google searching I finally found a way to disable the IPv6 on a Cisco DPC 3941T Xfinity router. Go to the Local connection IP section, and under the IPv6 section, Un-select the radio button called "Stateful".
I just disabled the "Stateful" (Use DCHP Server) IPv6 mode and ran a test, and it says I now have no Ipv6. So, I'll now try some MP racing to see if I drop out or not.
All the other internet services are good including the iPad's and phones.

I’m working most of Saturday and they’ll be a lot of motor racing I want to catch up on but time permitting I’ll try and set up a lobby Saturday night and if people are about try and test this all out.

Just ran some races with UK and US members and so far so good. I would like to check it with Rich and whoever else was having issues. Hit me up anytime.
