I really can agree as I've been feeling the stress of the weekly races too, especially on IndyCar weekends.

Definitely, hopefully this will ease the pressure and should give us all some decent practice time for each race. This will be especially important at the enxt round with the Green Hell now lurking over the horizon lol.

Just a quick heads up, I had an email chat with Pete (Shneeb) yesterday and he's gone the PC route now so although he still has his xbox he will likely be doing his racing on the PC so may not be racing with us on Xbox any longer.
I'm sure he'll be along soon to check in with us though.

Congrats Shneeb on the PC. It really is a shame to see you go, as it's hard to get any numbers together, but hopefully you've moved onto a better place. I'd love to know more about your setup and what you are racing... iRacing or whatever? Hopefully some day I can jump ship too!

I wish we could combine the IndyCar and Vintage roster together somehow. We'd have to change the date and times though, which would lose us valuable drivers like Rob, not to mention that not everyone wants to. I don't want to lose anyone.
There's got to be a way we can all get together🤔

Unfortunately Dave and Rich can't do midweek races but maybe Nate can be persuaded to give it a try. It's really tough getting numbers interested and involved on console but we'll keep plugging away.

If you are looking for availability on times, I am usually good for early on the weekends (6-9am EST). During the week I take wheel time when I can get it. I do manage to get in about an hour during weeknights.

Let's keep it as is for now. Maybe things will change over time and we could all get together for a series or a race or 2.

Yeah, I don't think that we need to change schedules. If the Indycar guys don't want to do vintage (or vise-versa) that's ok. We just need to somehow find more people who who want what we want. They have to be out there somewhere. It's a shame there are so many small racing sites, like this one, which are all great but just don't have the numbers. Even my other league, DSRL, has hundreds of members and even more in our Xbox Club. And we still struggle to fill grids.

It really is a shame...The race must go on regardless. It's a race if there's more than 1 person!
Last fall me and Rob were the only 2 drivers for the funnest track, the Willow Springs Horse Theif Mile, for our BabyFormula Championship in the Formula Ford Rookie car. It was loads of fun though the car was massively glitched.
While practicing for Sonoma online last night I came across a quick and surprisingly clean driver while on blacks (I was on reds). We didn't even have our mics in and he slowed down for me after I crashed, coming out of the last turn. While in the pits, he messaged me that we'd go the next lap. I was surprised and glad that someone else wanted to run caution.
We restarted racing and he spun off after a couple laps and then I waited for him and we did the same thing. It was fun but my connection isn't the best so we were glitching around a bit to eachother. I let him know about this Saturday's race and he seemed really interested in the League. Hopefully he checks it out and joins us.
I think that might be our best bet to increase our grid sizes is to set up public lobbies, kind of around the times of day and week we'll be racing and invite any proper racing drivers we find.

Just in case anyone hasn't ventured away from our two main forum area's here Dave (Lemarrrr) has posted up a sneak peak at the follow up series to the Indycar League that most of us have been racing in, so go check it out:- consoleracing.boards.net/thread/439/next-championship?page=1&scrollTo=7116I'll be looking at cleaning up the forum area here soon to hide away some of the stuff that is no longer accessed so it might make it easier for people to find this sort of stuff in future.

Have you considered moving this to Discord? Tbh Rob I struggle with Discord because I find it a bit too unstructured with conversations mixed up together so you have to troll through too many messages to find what you want... it's why I've not really got involved too much on the PC2tuner discussions. I like the linear structure we have in forums both from a reading standpoint and also it's far easier to manage.

I recently picked up a computer (actually got it from a company that was disposing of them for the cost of free). Nothing too impressive (a XEON 2.8 Ghz 4 core processor, comparable to an i5) but I threw a 1050ti into it and got the RAM up to 16GB. I have been doing all of my racing on that. I intend to finish this season on the XBOX, however I probably won't put much time in on the XBOX in preparation (primarily due to having to switch cables around). I am not sure about next season (this is due to my schedule which will have me away pretty much the last week of January until the end of February). I will keep everyone informed and I intend to join in on the console for the races when I am around.

Be sure to keep us updated on how things are going on the PC. It's always good to know how the performance is on various machines but unfortunately most of the time those that go rarely pop back to provide the feedback. What are you currently racing on PC? I started out on the PC before migrating to the console for the simplicity. I'll likely go back at some time in the future so any and all feedback from those that make the swap is always useful. What interests me as well as the technical side is the community side as well because I rarely see much of that in the places I visit to check out the other side of the fence. Good luck.

I haven't a clue when it comes to PC and performance. Car performance is one thing, but having to worry about your PC's performance constantly too will be a hassle. But I know it will be worth it.
Like I said I'll be here on the consoles for quite some time yet especially since I have other sim racing stuff I want to buy, so i'll have plenty of time to do some research. I definitely want to know what you guys are finding out and maybe we can make it easier by all getting the same specs.👍

I am going to keep my console and I intend to keep racing with this group. My schedule starting January next year is really going to be the only significant impact to my participation.
Regarding performance, the machine I have is not top of the line by any means, but it works. I have it hooked to a 42" HDTV. I have not tested FPS for pCars2, but Assetto Corsa was running in excess of 120 with everything set high and I have not noticed problems with draw distance or jaggedness.
I have only done a couple of races on Assetto Corsa (all off line). The mods available are great (I currently use heli-corsa which is a great app for indicating what is around you). My primary game remains pCars2. The ability to tweak things (graphics, FFB, real weather, # of players) more than the console is a plus. I have done a couple of online races and I have experienced about the same level of courtesy as I had on the Xbox (I have not figured out how to setup my headset to allow voice, but it seems most people use the chat function). I have seen stutter in one online game, but I think that is due to connection (almost everyone had a red signal indicator), otherwise it has been smooth.
I have not had to worry about PC performance yet. Other than the couple of upgrades I did all I did was install Steam, install the games, install CrewChief and off I went. I let the software that came with my graphics card control pretty much everything pretty much because I don't feel like spending the time tweaking individual settings.
