Ok! I'm thinking of calling Season 1
"Formula 1 through time - 1963 Season"
Here are some of the rules and regulations i'd like to highlight:
-Vintage Tyres ONLY!
-Full realism and what the weather is on the day and the place we're racing at in 2018(depending on circumstances of course)
-No pit lane speed limit (I noticed a couple of you guys using your pit limiters. Those and Pit speed limits didn't exist back then)
-Rules and regulations OFF but you still must obey the track limits. The races are reviewed by me
-Blocking: you can block like they used to (no 1 move blocking only)
-You can be killed if an accident you're in is bad enough. If so, you can choose another car and you'll have 2 separate total points (Your deceased self and your new self lol)
-I would like to keep the tracks and # of rounds similar to how they had them back in the day. However, not exact exact and we've got to add Classic Le-mans (assuming everyone has the season pass)! We should think about changing the tracks over the seasons to kind of simulate how F1 changes over time. For example, we'll run Historic Le-mans for 1963 and 1967 (yes I know they ran the old Bugatti circuit in 1967). Then for the 1970 and 1972 seasons, we'll run modern La-Sarthe. For 1977 and 1986, we'd run the Bugatti circuit. I loved how we made our own Watkins Glen 1967, we should do more of that kind of thing! I'd like to run the full Monza for 1963 and 67 (even though neither did), then just the old GP track for 70 and 72 is another example
-Laps: I'd like to do at least hour races now. We could also do timed races but I have 1 simple Formula (no pun intended) how we can determine the amount of laps that it will take us to complete a race in an hour
-Day and time is up for debate but the Vintage F1 1967 World Championship was on Wednesday evenings in America at 6pm central or midnight U.K.time. Kudos to Peter for staying up so late, and with a bad back! Also we should figure out if we will do a practice and qualifying too
-No safety car...or safety period lol (what is this safety you speak of?)
I'll update when I can think of anything I missed but I want to hear everyone's thoughts as well
THANKS EVERYONE!
UPDATE:
This would be kinda cool just like in the old days, retired cars all over the sides of the tracks
- Retirements: If you have to retire your car and can't make it back to the pits, you must pull off to the side of the track and shut your engine off (unless you're upside down in the middle of the circuit of course!)
UPDATE 2:
POINTS: 9-6-4-3-2-1 all points earned count towards final score and both drivers can score points

I also enjoyed my little test around Monaco.. that car is a handful for sure, much more difficult than the 49 because of those skinny hard tyres. Grip is very much at a premium.
I'll put the word around a few places including my Xbox friends list and see if there are any takers.

The touchy handling of the 25 climax put me into a lot of barriers. Using the vintage tyre really helps save the gearbox though. At least it should, has the damage bugg been fixed yet? Track tyres would be harder on the transmission while downshifting because of the extra speed and grip. I have a decent understanding of this car so far, I think it's going to come down to who can be the smoothest rather than who's got the best setup. There's not too much you can do to the setup that dramatically changes the way the car handles/performs anyway.

There's not too much you can do to the setup that dramatically changes the way the car handles/performs anyway. That's one of the reasons I like it.. it's down to the driver more than the car. We raced it at the Monza Classic Circuit in Assetto last year (minus the oval) and it was a lot of fun there too. Regarding the damage It will be interesting to see if it's the same with this car as the 49 and the Indycar. Hopefully that thread I started will prompt them to do something about it in the next patch.

I sure hope so man!
I think the most important part of the tuning setup is just the gearing, and that's really all we need to worry about besides vintage tyres.

Time set should be "real". There was some research done on the SMS Forum about the "time" interacting with "Live Track" when it's set to "accelerated". It was suggested that it may be the cause of some experiencing difference in physics between Practice, Qualify, and Race.

Yeah I agree and with us looking to do longer races there is no need to use accelerated time really.

2nd Agreement!
For the last few races (since after the Nordschleife I think) it's been set to real or off, i'll have to check for sure. I know for a fact that tyre wear was set to Authentic after that as well. I'll take a pic of the game settings later and post it if I can
